If you follow the story closely, you will find that it is a sequel to the original, not a remake.

I thought this movie was excellent! Loved it! 5/5

Honestly one of the best remakes of the 1968 classic.

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
firedove10 1 points 2 years ago.

I was honestly not disappointed with this film. I understand that many people really disliked this movie, but what were they expecting? I knew this movie was NOT going to be a big, ground-breaking feature like the first film in the franchise was. But was it entertaining, and was the story interesting? Absolutely. Would I recommend this film? YES! But I will say, it is hit or miss for a lot of people, especially if you are expecting so much from it. If you’re going to watch this movie, don’t watch it expecting a whole lot. If you’re expecting this movie to be ground-breaking and revolutionary like the first one was, then yes, you’re going to be disappointed. So just sit back, relax, and joy the film for what it is. Cheers!

This movie was surprisingly entertaining. It was and sad all at the same time. I also really enjoyed the satire, and how it really made fun of big corporate capitalism. 5/5

I actually thought this movie was very good. I saw it at the theater with my boyfriend and we actually found it to be very enjoyable. We never read the graphic novel, so neither of us knew what to expect.

absolutely. When the first film came out, we weren’t used to the campy humor we got from the characters. But when the second one came out, it was pretty much the same humor, but we were already used to it by now; we knew what to expect. I think the only thing that was new and funny were the hippies, that’s it lol.

Mark the above comment that it…✅ CONTAINS SPOILERS…the whole point of checking the box is so people can read the comments and not have the movie ruined. Why do people feel they have to retell the details that knowingly will ruin a movie, in an oversimplified way, to ruin it even further!???? You thought it was a great movie, so you want to ruin 4 everyone else? You could have ended at how it was top 10 in 21st century! not retell what happens… This movie, in my opinion, was very disturbing and very well crafted…my friend thought the spoilers where hidden…thanks a lot for the details, especially the most important ones that your not suppose to see coming! why watch it now…you make it sound pointless

well, you decided to keep reading it LOL

I’ll be honest; it wasn’t as fun as the first, but it was still a fun film nonetheless. I enjoyed it. 4/5

The Call of the Wild (2020)
firedove10 0 points 3 years ago.

Slow adventure movies are not everybody’s forte. I can usually stomach them, but this was a doozy for me. However, the parts I did manage to watch before falling asleep was not all that bad. It’s a slow burner film. So make sure you are cafinated and not watching this film at 22:00.

I was expecting a little more out of this one. A bit disappointing. 2/5

MULTIPASS! This is such an iconic 90s science fiction gem. If you love science fiction, and haven’t seen this film, then you haven’t lived. You need to watch it NOW. You’ll enjoy it. I know everybody who watches this film loves it. Enjoy! 5/5

Uncle Buck (1989)
firedove10 5 points 3 years ago.

This is such a great classic family comedy. I looked forward to watching this every time it came on TV when I was a kid. I still love it now. It’s really too bad John Candy is gone; he really was a legend. Who honestly wouldn’t want Buck to be their odd uncle? I know I would LOL

I highly recommend this film to anybody looking for a camp family comedy. It’s worth the watch. 10/10

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Everything I’d expected from a Zach Snyder film. EPIC. Also, welcome back, DC :)

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Kid Kryptonite 7 points 3 years ago*.

Of course this was better since they added hours more filming and had years to completely rework all the scenes at the behest of fans. Think about the fact Zack Snyder was originally the director and they wasted 100’s of millions of dollars to replace him with Joss Whedon who made it shit only for them to waste more money to do the movie right with original director. Justice League deserved better than this sloppy production and it shows how terrible DC is at their live action. All over the place with all these shows and movies in different universes with bad writing. Even this current cinematic universe is in limbo but if this is the last time we see these actors together again for the league it was well done. Great to see Darkseid and them give Jared Leto’s Joker redemption.

firedove10 -1 points 3 years ago.

OMG, this new Jerod Letto Joker is the Joker I expected. The Suicide Squad Joker was just laughable for all the wrong reasons. I hated it! With the help of Zach Snyder, this Joker was redeemed indeed.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
greyfur 9 points 3 years ago.

Normally it’s hard for me to sit through something this long, but not this time. Was rooted to the chair. This was a vast improvement over the first version, and answered a lot of questions I was left with after watching the first one. Seems to me Joss Whedon might want to find a different career, as he’s really messing these movies up, he had a lot of good stuff to work with, and just left it on the cutting room floor instead of using it.

This was more what a movie should be, at least as far as a Superhero movie goes, at least as far as I’m concerned anyway. Well worth the time invested to watch this, and hoping that Zack Snider can come back and make a sequel of some kind. Too bad he couldn’t have actually have finished the movie the first time around, would have made a mint!

firedove10 1 points 3 years ago.

Indeed, this was a great movie. Watched it on HBOMAX. I even sat through it twice, because I missed 1/3 of the film the first time lol. The Joss version was just trash.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
firedove10 -1 points 3 years ago*.

Snyder is the perfect director for DC film adaptations. He takes the raw and dark nature, which is the sum of the entire DC universe, and brings it to life on film. Almost every moment of the Snyder cut is graphic novel worthy. he Joss Whedon version is pure trash compared to this. I’m really hoping Zach Snyder makes a sequel to this, and only with him directing it.

Now, this movie is worth every second. Yes it’s long, so feel free to watch it in parts, just like the film is setup. It’s dark, violent, dramatic, and full of action; everything we’ve come to expect from such an epic director. Get ready to plan your day around seeing this film. Again, it’s worth it.

The Dead (2011)

Probably one of the best zombie films of the 2010s. It takes zombies back to its classic roots. The zombies are slow and dead quiet. 5/5

Planet Terror (2007)
firedove10 3 points 3 years ago.

I thought this movie was pretty kick ass. A lot of action, gore, and excitement. It’s fun, sexy, and thrilling. Enjoy! 5/5

Splinter (2009)
firedove10 2 points 3 years ago.

This movie is pretty intense. It’s not your typical zombie movie where the living dead are taking over the world. This one is more localized to one area. A Gas Station to be precise. And some sharp, spinny parasite is making the dead come back to life. This movie is up there. Not quite top 10, but it’s good. Worth a watch. 4/5

Erotic Nights of the Living Dead (1980)

Night of the Living Dead (1968)
firedove10 2 points 3 years ago.

A timeless classic that started it all. If it wasn’t for this film, zombie stories would not be what it is today. It scared the pants off of so many people back in 1968. And even to this day, it will still make your neck hairs stand. 6/5 rating.

Night of the Living Dead (1990)
firedove10 1 points 3 years ago*.

Probably the only good remake of the George A Romero original, Night of the Living. Wait… that’s because George A. Romero helped produce it! Go figure! DUH. Oh, and of course, the director of the film, Tom Savini, was also the special effects director of the original Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead films. So of course this remake is great! Yeah, it could have been a lot gorier, considering Tom Savini’s work, but it was still really good. It kept the scare factor, which did the job. The other Night of the Living Dead remakes are peanuts compared to this. We can only wait to see if “Rebirth” is able to add its name next to this one.

I give this movie s 5/5 rating.

Fight of the Living Dead (2016)

Return of the Living Dead III (1994)
firedove10 0 points 3 years ago*.

Probably the last TRUE Return of the Living Dead film of the series. Necropolis and Rave to the Grave ARE NOT worthy of being part of the Return of the Living Dead franchise. Ever.

Anyway, Part 3 is a much darker take on the franchise story. We follow Jesse and his deadly journey to help his recently revived dead girlfriend as they try to get away from a band of gangbangers. His girlfriend, Julie, was killed in a motorcycle accident, then later revived with the famed 245-Trioxin, the same chemical that brought the dead back to life in the first two films. She’s dead… and hungry for brains. The gore and special effects in this film are superb! The story is also very gothic (dark, supernatural, and romantic), which is interesting because the first film is very punk & deathrock. The producers really tipped their hats off to the punks from the first film when making Julie’s character to be goth.

Take a bite out of this film. She’s worth losing your brain to. 5/5 rating from me.

Return of the Living Dead II (1988)
firedove10 0 points 3 years ago*.

It’s not as good or iconic as the first film, but it still good and also funny. Whereas the first film was a horror film trying to be a comedy, this was a comedy trying to be a horror film. It’s enjoyable and worth a watch. 4/5

Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave (2006)
Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis (2006)
firedove10 0 points 3 years ago*.

ROTLD 4 & 5 were both a big slap to the face the the first 3 films. Complete TRASH. Absolutely no connection to either of the films except that the zombies yell for “brains”. The trioxin chemical is not even the same as the first 3 films. Completely different. Also, trioxin zombies can’t be killed by simply shooting them, especially to the head.

“You chop them into pieces and the pieces will still come after you.”

  • Burt, Return of the Living Dead (1985)

The only way to totally kill them is to completely reduce them to ashes (which releases the gas back into the air and begins the cycle all over again) or shoot a powerful electrical current through their body like in ROTLD 2.

Such a cheesy film that was made poorly and full of terrible acting. Return of the Living Dead Part 2 was lightyears better than this abomination. The Sci-Fi channel really butchered this series.

Train to Busan (2016)

This was an awesome movie! Definitely on the top 10 best zombie films ever made list. 6/5 rating from me.

The Darkness (2016)
firedove10 0 points 3 years ago.

Just watched this on Netflix. The film is a bit of a cliche, that plays off of other supernatural ghost/demon haunting films with similar stories, especially Poltergeist. The acting was really good, though. Not much for originality, but it was enjoyable. I was hoping it would have been scarier. 3/5 rating from me.

Sinister (2012)
firedove10 1 points 3 years ago.

It was pretty good. The outcome was pretty predictable, but it had its frightful moments and horror cliches. It’s worth a watch if you like really dark, supernatural horrors. It’s good for a one-time watch, I probably won’t be watching again anytime soon. 4/5 rating from me.

Seven in Heaven (2018)

Swallow (2020)
firedove10 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Honestly, there was nothing horror about this film. I would put it in the category of drama and leave it there. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good movie. I really felt bad for Hunter during the film. I felt trapped with her in that house. Though her husband was hot and I could do so many naughty things to him, his loving and seemingly caring attitude was only a cover for his true controlling and narcissistic self. Being in that house, especially being back from the hospital, was like being in a prison. I could understand why she would develop an irrational compulsive habit like she did. She had no control of her life being in that marriage. I wouldn’t want to marry a rich douchebag either, honey. Other than a penis, she’s not missing out on much leaving that marriage. Good for her.

Anyway, this movie is a work of fiction and here I am going on as if that film was real. It shows you how really into this movie you can get. You really relate to the character and the producers did a really good job in creating this film. Again, if you’re checking out this film and expect a horror, you’re going to be disappointed, but on the other hand, this may be one of the few drama films you may come to enjoy. It’s worth a watch, maybe even two. I have to give this film a 5/5 rating.
