Pillow Party Massacre (2023)

You know that a movie is bad when the poster straight up ripps off another and in this case better movie which in this case is Slumber Party Massacre.

This won’t be being released theatrically until September 2024.

Dinner with the Parents (2024)
Terrifying Timber 3 points yesterday.

After watching the first episode, I can definitively say this remake is absolutely horrible!

hellsingfan01 2 points yesterday.

This really isn’t all that surprising to be honest as alot of American remakes of British sitcoms are usually bad and while there are a few exceptions to this rule they are very few and very far between.

Dinner with the Parents (2024)
prism 3 points yesterday.

yes, I’m finding this with the series Ghosts. The UK version was great, I’m a few episodes into the US version and blegh!

hellsingfan01 2 points yesterday.

Thus proving that this show really shouldn’t have been made at all.

American remakes of British sitcoms nine times out of ten nearly always suck that is just a matter of fact.

Transformers One (2024)

Thanks to the first trailer for this film it’s safe to say that we all know that this film looks to be pretty average at best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a09yJU-mCI.

Why remake Friday Night Dinner just watch the original as it’ll be so much better then this version of the show will ever and can ever be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
User67 2 points 2 days ago.

I went to see it this passed monday and I was bored as F*….. so got up an walked out .

hellsingfan01 1 points 2 days ago.

Fair enough this movie isn’t as good as Ghostbusters: Afterlife was but it’s not that boring of a movie as there’s alot more things going on then in say Ghostbusters 2016 or even Ghostbusters 2 for that matter.

X-Men '97 (2024) S1 E6
hellsingfan01 2 points 2 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

A bit of a let down when compared to the previous but the episode does set up what’s sure to be an epic three part finale with the return of Charles Xavier and damn does Storm look good in her new costume or what.

Velma (2023)

The trailer for season 2 is out and the show looks just as bad as ever before.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)
grasshopper rex 1 points 3 days ago.

Nothing like what they were hoping for, I’m sure. I imagine they are scaling back a bit on those ambitious plans of theirs for a whole Poohverse.

hellsingfan01 1 points 3 days ago.

Oh there not scaling back if anything there moving full steam ahead as a third Winnie-The-Pooh Blood And Honey film has also been announced.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)
grasshopper rex 1 points 4 days ago.

The budget on the 1st one was $50k and wound up making over $5 million at the box office plus VOD and streaming. I’m sure the thinking was that with a bigger budget, they could make a better movie and cash in even more, and it was a better movie, marginally. IMDb rating on the 1st is 2.9 and 5.4 on the 2nd. What they didn’t take into account is that while the 1st movie was a novelty that piqued the interest of many, it wasn’t nearly good enough to make people want more and to the best of my knowledge, 2 hasn’t broken even yet.

hellsingfan01 1 points 4 days ago.

The film has made nearly seven hundred thousand American dollars so it’s going to be breaking even within the next week or two.

Carrie (2013)
ThinMan 2 points 4 days ago.

Chloe would’ve made a great Chris! Well spotted!

hellsingfan01 2 points 4 days ago.

She already looks like the character so it was just a matter of casting her in the Chris role.

Carrie (2013)
ThinMan 2 points 4 days ago*.

Bland? Sissy Spacek? Not at all; she’s got very defining facial features and huge, expressive eyes, combined with very light, freckled skin and strawberry blonde hair. She was perfect because she’s not bland; she has an extreme look that is unusual. Whereas Chloë Grace Moretz is a conventionally attractive blonde with all the earmarks of a “sex symbol”. Not so with Sissy, she has a very unusual, niche look, and for this film it is exaggerated. It was, and still is, a perfect resemblance to the character Stephen King wrote about in his book. ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

hellsingfan01 2 points 4 days ago.

No one’s denying that however Sissy went out of her way even in the audition to make herself look as plain looking as possible as it worked. Where as Chloe just looks to glamorous but she would have made for a great Chris tho.

Carrie (2013)
yellow_rose1 3 points 5 days ago.

To cast a very attractive, pretty Carrie threw me off right away. Carrie in the book and original movie was a plain Jane. Hard pass even though I like Julianne Moore. Even Moore doesn’t suit the character of Margret White. My opinion. It might be a good movie but I’d rather watch the original

hellsingfan01 2 points 5 days ago.

Completely agree Chloe is just to pretty to be a believable Carrie White if anything they should have gone the route that the original film went down and cast a complete unknown for the role.

Yikes, after viewing the trailer I’m speechless. So many stretched out, botoxed faces. I think your instincts are correct on sitting this one out. We’ll join you! ヅ

hellsingfan01 2 points 6 days ago.

Room for one more there’s only so much bad CGI that I can handle lol.

yellow_rose1 1 points 11 days ago.

I suppose but if a parent can not recognize the grooming process, then well I just don’t know what to say after that. It’s a sad state of affairs that’s for sure

hellsingfan01 1 points 11 days ago.

Agreed which is why safe guards are needed in order to protect child actors and hopefully with this fantastic series Hollywood will finally stand up and take notice and look at something that’s been a problem for literally decades at this point in time.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024) S1 E5
yellow_rose1 1 points 11 days ago.

It is my belief that Hollywood doesn’t want safe guards for children. To them they are just money making commodifies. I think it should be made essential that if parents are going to put their children in the entertainment industry that they are to remain on the set with them at all times. Or a trusted family member. Now that all this abuse has come to light I don’t know how a parent could trust their child to be left alone for even 5 minutes. That would solve much of these problems.

hellsingfan01 1 points 11 days ago.

Well you see here’s the thing alot of them do indeed stay on set with there kids alot of the time but because of how creepy the weirdos mentioned are they convince the parents that they can be trusted by gaining their trust and by gaining the trust of there kids.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024) S1 E5
hellsingfan01 2 points 11 days ago.

Hollywood will never change as long as there still no safe guards in place to protect child actors from creeps like Dirty Dan Schinder , Brian Peck , Jason Handy and others.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)
hellsingfan01 1 points 17 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

While this movie is quite easily better then the first film in quite alot ofcrespects it’s still not that good of a movie and the dumb plot twist that they do with Winnie The Pooh makes no sense whatsoever regardless of if you take the first film into account or not.

The Bloody Man (2022)

That could be, been a long time since I watched one of those, I remember 3, but could be wrong. Might have been 2, like I said, been a good minute since I watched one of the older ones. Was still pretty cool how they did this. CGI has certainly come a long way, that’s for sure…

hellsingfan01 1 points 21 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Yeah it was pretty cool to see how they did Infant Island.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)
raven13 2 points 21 days ago.

Another one lol

hellsingfan01 3 points 21 days ago.

Yup and there’s a third one in development and an Avengers style team up movie with Bambi , Pinicchio and Peter Pan along with other films featuring all of those characters.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
greyfur 2 points 21 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well, this was a very different but also pretty good version from what we all grew up with. One thing I did notice though is that with Mothra it used to be 3 little tiny girls that communicated with it, rather then one grown teen. Then again, they always tend to modify things. Was still well worth watching.

hellsingfan01 1 points 21 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

No it was 2 tiny girls.

Imaginary (2024)

Fantasy island remake was good

hellsingfan01 1 points 22 days ago.

To each there own I suppose but you can’t be surprised when a guy that’s known nails for making bad to average movies makes to average at best movie.

Imaginary (2024)
Tinybroespesso 2 points 23 days ago.

This is trash I made it 1 minute

hellsingfan01 2 points 22 days ago.

This is by the exact same writer as the Fantasy Island remake and the Bloodshot film what did you expect was going to be the case lol.

X-Men '97 (2024) S1 E3
hellsingfan01 2 points 23 days ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

A good third episode but the reason as to why Jean had to leave the room near the start of episode seemed a bit lazy with this episode pretty much all but confirming that Mister Sinister will be the main big bad villain for this first series of the show.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
hellsingfan01 3 points 28 days ago.

As much as it’s painful to say this film isn’t as good as Ghostbusters:Afterlife was but it’s still a good watch and it’s still alot better then Ghostbusters 2016.

X-Men '97 (2024)
hellsingfan01 1 points 29 days ago.

Just seen the shows first two episodes and it’s that good go and see it right now regardless of if you saw the original X-Men: The Animated Series or not you will not regret it at all in the slightest way possible as it really is just all that really very good of a show at least thus far anyways.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024)
hellsingfan01 4 points 1 month ago.

Having just watched the first two episodes of this and are currently watching the third episode this show it makes me wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and it makes me really wonder what other shows were affected not only on Nickelodeon but also on Disney Channel amongst many other shows as well.

Madame Web (2024)
hellsingfan01 2 points 1 month ago.

This film takes what was a cool and interesting character back in the nineties and instead turns her into a bland unlikable movie that even Sydney Sweeney and her “assests” couldn’t even help.

Superman (1978)
hellsingfan01 4 points 1 month ago.

This is still the greatest comic book movie ever made as it’s just that good of a film.

Dead Hooker in a Trunk (2011)

This is such a good and a wonderfully bonkers insane film as well.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024)
hellsingfan01 3 points 1 month ago*.

This show is going to be super important for alot of survivors of abuse and it’s going to shine a big old spotlight on alot of the shows that Nickelodeon and others like Disney did and let us all hope that Hollywood learns never ever to hire people like Dan Schneider and KNOW abuser and someone who really likes playing with little kids including Drake Bell Brian Peck ever ever and ever again.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
hellsingfan01 2 points 1 month ago.

This film is quite the best animated Batman film ever made and it’s the only film to truly get who Batman is as a character on top of it being just genuinely good or even quite possibly a great film on top of all of that as well.

The People's Joker (2023)

Dune: Part Two (2024)
trillianregina 3 points 1 month ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

Here: ,,,,….. You seem to have run out 😁

Jokes aside, I agree, it’s odd how some of the characters shifted a bit. Happens in the book, too, IIRC.
Still I do prefer this one over the first but only because this part of the story interests me the most.
All the political intrigue, Paul’s desperate attempt to avoid a hellish future, and the frustrating (but believable) ending where nothing really changes for anyone - Spice is still the economic nexus, there’s still a political/economic emperor, etc. Just with Paul at the helm instead. Frustrating.

hellsingfan01 3 points 1 month ago.

Yeah this is a good example of a two part film that is done right in some respects but done wrong in others as Paul fall to the dark side is something that would have been better told if it was told in a three part film and not rushed to the high heavens in just this film alone. What this films gets right tho is the fact that it’s a film that rightfully is a two part film as the story of the book couldn’t be covered in one singular film without butchering the story to the high heavens.

Dune: Part Two (2024)
hellsingfan01 5 points 1 month ago.

As a film this one felt like the latter seasons of Game Of Thrones where the characters act out of character whereas the first film felt alot more like Game Of Thrones in it’s early years and is easily the better of the two films but at the same time tho turning this one book into a two part film was quite easily the best way to adapt the book as it does allow for alot of things that wouldn’t have been included in the film if the film was just the one singular film.
