seems like this Debbie storyline is a shout out to the first season of the original Shameless(UK). If you havn’t seen that version it is quite different form the Us one. Still maintains the trashy charm with a side of British .

For any non-brits, the original Shameless (btw as a brit the American version doesn’t even come close lol) is probably the only show in British history that accurately portrays British lower class life! I still cant get over the fact they ended the British series as it was without a doubt the best show on UK TV for years.
