Even director Patty Jenkins said Lord IS Trump. That was her whole intent. To me, that ruined the movie. Should have been a Cold War story with a Reagan-esque President. Instead we got 2020 politics in a 1984 setting.

heh so you marked me down? the problem wasnt french scifi it was picking people for parts based on looks not talent.

I loved the fifth element and most besson’s films, but I couldnt get into this movie. I didnt care for the lead “actors” at all and they were not french in any way. Hiring a model to try and lead a credible film is prob not a good idea

robur the anarchist (here vincent price) is probably the first character in fiction that really fits the modern idea of “supervillan” (but like captain nemo hes a hero in his own eyes) well worth a look for triple A card carryin Nerds

I own multiple Robin Hood movies and I have seen almost all ( probably more than once) from the 1938 Errol Flynn movie to the 2010 one with Russel Crowe. Every one brings something different. Some really good ones to some that are just okay. But I enjoy them all, including this one. It was fast paced, well done(except for some questionable costume choices), and most of the actors did justice to their characters. I certainly hope they do a second one.

this is small scale but a great war film very human characters struggling to stay that way very interesting

this is amatuer but unceasingly entertaining :)

I’ve only watched the first 2 episodes, but this is far better than I expected. Not your typical “sword & sandals” series like HBO’s Rome or Starz’ Spartacus. They put a lot of effort into recreating the world of 8th century BC Rome, including hiring linguistics experts to recreate the Archaic Latin spoken throughout the series. The characters all speaking Latin really pulls you into that world, as opposed to everyone speaking English with a British accent like most period pieces set in the ancient world.
