Overnight (2005)

Troy Duffy made Boondock Saints, which has its charms, but sunk himself with his own irascible nature and self aggrandizement. Maybe without those features we never would have heard of him.

Day of the Dead (2021) S1 E1
xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago.

Seems fun but not only is it nothing like DOTD, they are not even Romero zombies so headshots don’t do the trick. Seem more like Russo zombies which can still be fun.

The Rock (1996)
xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago.

There is a fun fan theory about this movie actually being a continuation of James Bond and Connery’s character, John Mason is just 007’s alias and has been left to rot in jail by Q. A redditor went deep into this theory and it is fairly convincing.

I could link to it if that is allowed or just DM anyone interested in reading it.

Well damnnn. Didn’t see that happening

xWoodyx 3 points 2 years ago.

Neither did he.

Ghosts (2021)
xWoodyx 5 points 2 years ago.

Umm…what? I am getting Joel McHale in the IT Crowd vibes.

Felon (2008)
xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago.

Pretty solid prison movie. Worth a watch.

After Earth (2013)
xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago.

Hey, if I was a famous and successful actor I’d hand a free movie to my kid too.

Pretty bad though.

Pig (2021)
xWoodyx 3 points 2 years ago.

Great movie. It is like the anti-action flick. So many scenes that could have peaked with confrontation peak with empathy yet still engage you. Fantastic.

Space Truckers (1996)
xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago.

Ridiculous and great

Loki (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I like it, especially because they have been very careful with the physics - anything anomalous gets corrected. Putting them on one a week is a dick move though!

xWoodyx 2 points 2 years ago.

Agreed on the once a week thing. I WANT BINGE!!!

Loki (2021) S1 E1
fessologue 7 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I wish Thanos could’ve met the TVA! Haha!

xWoodyx 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Since he didn’t, it just adds to the theory that Thanos did nothing wrong.

The Revenant (2016)

Here’s how to get and use subs on PW—
Go to the show you want, then—
Click a ‘version’, then click ‘subtitles’.
Choose a sub, click ‘retrieve’, then click ‘download’.
Download to your PC.

Now, click ‘direct’ on a player that has a ‘cc’ button, click the cc button, pick and click ‘upload…’. Pick the sub file you just downloaded (the file name likely ends in .srt).
You’re good to go.

xWoodyx 2 points 2 years ago.

You just made my PW experience so much better and I already love this place. Thank you.

The Brand New Testament (2015)
xWoodyx 2 points 2 years ago.

Like ‘Bad Boy Bubby’ meets ‘Harvey’ and they went and talked about the Coen Brothers.

Awesome.

Tower (2017)

Excellent.

An Honest Liar (2014)

The Walking Dead (2010) S10 E21

Painful

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
xWoodyx 2 points 3 years ago.

If you can suspend all logic and reason you might enjoy this. If you cannot suspend all logic and reason you might hate this.

I kinda hate this but I did enjoy the explosions.

I give it a disappointed MEH…the source material and actors deserved more.

Also, I watched this to get up to speed so I can watch Zach Snyder’s directors cut, which I may also comment on…once I get around to watching it.

Cheech and Chong's Next Movie (1980)
(⌐■_■) 6 points 3 years ago*.

If you haven’t put gas in a car behind the license plate… you’re too young to watch this.

xWoodyx 3 points 3 years ago.

As a former petroleum transfer technician who has his fair share of grey, I concur.

Debris (2021) S1 E1
TisOnlyMe 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

DEBRIS.. it’s like FRINGE but without any of the good characters! I thought the the music was pretty good myself, atmospheric without being intrusive, worked for me. A fair opener but i don’t feel gripped yet by the story or the characters, so we’ll have to see where it goes.. :))x

xWoodyx 1 points 3 years ago.

“it’s like FRINGE “
Those are some strong words.

I don’t know you, you don’t know me, but I will now watch this to see.

Hey, that kinda rhymed…just saying that if someone invokes a show I like to describe a show I have not seen then I will investigate…so, thanks.

The Curse of Oak Island (2014)
xWoodyx 6 points 3 years ago.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine said to watch this but he had a rather novel suggestion…only watch the first and last episode of each season because everything else is just filler.

I tried that approach and after watching 4 episodes I cannot watch anymore. This is the most dragged out show, one episode seems to repeat itself over and over again with the same footage. If your attention span is so limited as to need constant reminders of what was just said and constant bait dangled in front of you I feel bad for you.

The Platform (2020)
xWoodyx 5 points 3 years ago.

I really enjoyed this. Top notch acting by all. If you liked Cube… https://www.primewire.li/movie/307765-watch-cube …you may very well like this.

Final Space (2018)

Season 1: Kick Ass
Season 2: Hmmmm…ok.
Season 3: ?

Half Brothers (2020)

Not great but not bad.

I am a cotton-headed ninny muggins and proud of it.

Moving (1988)

I think was my first time seeing the very beautiful Stacey Dash!!!

xWoodyx 3 points 3 years ago.

She is stunning

Moving (1988)
xWoodyx 5 points 3 years ago.

I love this movie.

The Social Dilemma (2020)
xWoodyx 0 points 3 years ago.

I believe in the concept that societies advance by overcoming great filters. If a society does not figure out fire, it is filtered out. If a society does not figure out agriculture, it is filtered out. If a society does not figure out energy consumption that is sustainable, it is filtered out.

We are currently facing many filters, energy being a big one but mass communication through a centralized format is, in my opinion, just as big.

If we do not figure out mass communication, we will be filtered out.

Sky Sharks (2021)
xWoodyx 2 points 3 years ago.

Um. Zombie nazi’s riding flying sharks that shoot missiles.

Yes please.

Yonderland (2013)
xWoodyx 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

One of my favorite things about this show is Negatus and his forehead. They never mention it in the show but Negatus has an N scared/burned into his forehead but it is backwards, like he did it in a mirror and didn’t realize his mistake or he did it so every time he looks in the mirror it looks proper.
I love that.

Fringe (2008) S2 E19
xWoodyx 1 points 3 years ago.

Fun little easter egg in this episode is the license plates on the FBI’s Lincoln Navigators.

1R2D21 and 1C3P01.

Rim of the World (2019)
xWoodyx -1 points 4 years ago.

Fun enough movie if you have kids…could have done without the Adidas commercial for the last half though.

Deadsight (2018)
xWoodyx 0 points 4 years ago.

Solid zombie movie

Serenity (2005)
xWoodyx 3 points 4 years ago.

You can’t take the sky from me.

Strange Brew (1983)
xWoodyx 2 points 4 years ago.

Great movie.

Fun fact about Bob and Doug…the skit, Great White North(Kanadian Korner) originally only aired in Canada because American shows had longer commercial breaks which left the CBC with 2 extra minutes of air time that had to be filled. They wanted something specifically Canadian and Bob and Doug became a thing.

Star Trek: Picard (2020) S1 E1
xWoodyx 1 points 4 years ago.

Well that was awesome.

Sky High (2005)
xWoodyx 0 points 4 years ago.

If you are into goofy super hero comedy this does not disappoint.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
xWoodyx 1 points 4 years ago.

I like it.

The Atheist Delusion (2016)
xWoodyx 1 points 4 years ago*.

This is something that some theists and atheists need to understand, there is no proof of a deity.

You literally have to have faith to believe. Faith can be achieved through 3 paths. Evidence, testimony or reason. If all 3 are satisfied it is defined as a truth.

All religions have only satisfied one path, testimony.

To believe in a god or goddess or their plurality is solely reliant on the testimony of others. To take that as fact is to have faith. Those who require more will never be convinced without at least one of the other two requirements of truth. I do not understand why some attempt to blur those simple things to get to some gotcha moment. There is no winning this argument.

Some will have faith, some will not. That is a fact.

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
xWoodyx 0 points 4 years ago.

Completely different from the book but good nonetheless.

Many will say that Keanu ruined this movie, and I will admit that his accent is atrocious but he did better than I ever could.

Keanu aside, great acting all around.

Side note…Keanu has become a good actor since.

Zomboat! (2019)
xWoodyx 1 points 4 years ago.

I like it. Admittedly, I enjoy anything zombie and British programming is pretty good too.
