Space Ghost started out as a scientist, but later was recruited into a member of the intergalactic police. His abilities come from his suit that allows him to fly, and the power bands on his wrists can get him out of almost any situation. Space Ghost is assisted by the twin duo Jace and Jan. They both sport jetpacks that allow them to fly and inviso belts that turn them invisable. They also have communicators that allow them to contact Space Ghost. And finally there is Blip, a pet of the Space Ghost crew that also sports the jetpack and inviso belt. Blip does his share of getting everyone into and out of trouble. The Space Ghost crew is based out of the Ghost Planet. From there, they patrol a small sector of space with the Phantom Cruiser (sometimes refered to as the Ghost Ship). Together, the Space Ghost and the kids fight against the forces of evil that are wreaking chaos in space.

Somewhere out in deep space - and out of the creative imagination of the animation aces of Hanna-Barbera Studios - live the Herculoids. Humanoid Zandor, along with his wife Tara and son Dorno, lead a group of unique creatures: Zok the flying dragon, powerful simian Igoo (who possesses rock-like skin), rhinoceros hybrid Tundro, and two protoplasmic wonders appropriately named Gloop and Gleep. Together, they use their diverse super strengths to defend their utopian planet against attack from such sinister invaders as the Pod Creatures, the Reptons, and the Mutoids.

Brainiac Velma, jock Fred, fashionista Daphne, hippie Shaggy, and Shaggy's highstrung, talking Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, climb into their green van, the Mystery Machine, and hit the road in search of weird phenomena to solve. The Galaxy Trio centered around the adventures of a patrol of interstellar superheroes.

First airing on the ABC television network in 1967, the series revolves around the scientific-minded teenager Peter Parker who, after being bitten by a radioactive spider, develops amazing strength and spider-like powers. He decides to become a crime-fighting, costumed superhero; all the while dealing with his personal problems and the insecurities resulting from being a teenager.

1973's Super Friends' premise was for Superman to team up with other DC Comics superheroes (Aquaman, Batman and Robin, and Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) with her magic lasso, telepathy and invisible jet) along with eager young hero trainees Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog for adventures. Their base of operation was called the Hall of Justice, where they responded to Trouble Alerts and information supplied by Col. Wilcox. Wendy demonstrated the brains, while Wonder Dog was similar to Hanna Barbera's Scooby Doo, and Marvin was enthusiastic but needed to learn the moral of each episode. The adventures were one hour long, and included occasional cameos by other heroes like Plastic Man and Flash (Barry Allen). Hanna Barbera artist Alex Toth did the character designs. This series was cancelled in 1975 after two seasons."Their mission: To fight Injustice. To right that which is wrong. And to serve all mankind!"

The New Adventures of Batman is an animated series produced by Filmation in 1977 featuring the DC Comics superheroes Batman and Robin, and Batgirl. In The New Adventures of Batman, the "Dynamic Duo" fights crime in Gotham City, encountering the classic Batman rogues gallery as well as some original villains. Complicating matters is Bat-Mite, a well meaning imp from another dimension called Ergo, who considers himself Batman's biggest fan. As a result, he wears a variant of Batman's costume and attempts to help him, only to often create more problems (although he is occasionally an asset). Missing is Alfred, the faithful butler of Batman's alter ego Bruce Wayne.

Star Trek: The Animated Series boldly continues where Star Trek: The Original Series left off, these animated adventures chart the progress of Captain Kirk and his crew in a universe unconstrained by "real-life" special-effects limits! It premiered in 1973 as a Saturday morning cartoon - four years after The Original Series' final season. The series' 22 episodes featured characters voiced by their original actors and was the first Star Trek series to win an Emmy Award.

Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle was a Filmation cartoon that aired on CBS from 1976 to 1980. Unlike the simple-minded man depicted in the movies, this cartoon had an intelligent, well-spoken Tarzan who was accompanied by a monkey sidekick, N'kima. In many ways, this series was the most faithful of all screen-based adaptations of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, and featured a number of "lost cities" from the original novels. The rotoscoped animation is based upon the work of Burrough's favorite Tarzan artist, Burne Hogarth.

The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show features the adventures of anthropomorphic moose Bullwinkle and flying squirrel Rocky. The main adversaries in most of these adventures are the Russian-like spies Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale. Supporting segments include Dudley Do-Right, Peabody's Improbable History, and Fractured Fairy Tales, among others.

The cartoon series revolved around Tennessee Tuxedo the penguin, and his best friend Chumley the Walrus. The pair lived (not always willingly) at the Megapolis Zoo, under the control of the ill-tempered zoo director Stanley Livingston, and his zookeeper assistant Flunky. It was on one of Stanley's journeys that Tennessee met Stanley. Actually, it was Chumley that Stanley wanted, as Chumley was at the South Pole. Thus Chumley was a one of a kind: a South Pole walrus. Tennessee agreed to accompany Chumley and Stanley back to the zoo.

Underdog also ran with Tennessee Tuxedo, Commander McBragg, the Sing-A-Long Family, Klondike Kat, Go Go Gophers, King Leonardo and His Subjects, and other cartoons. A typical 30-minute show included two Underdog episodes bracketing either two or three other cartoons.

The Secrets of ISIS, originally broadcast as Isis, was an American live-action superhero television series that aired from 1975 to 1977 for CBS's Saturday morning lineup. In the series, Isis (Joanna Cameron) is the alter ego of Andrea Thomas, a seemingly normal schoolteacher, who transforms into the Egyptian goddess when presented with crises a mere mortal cannot resolve.

A young boy, able to transform into the superhero Captain Marvel, travels the country fighting evil and helping people.

Two beachcombing brothers, Johnny and Scott, find a friendly little sea monster that was kicked out of the cave by his monster family because he doesn't want to scare anyone. The boys hide Sigmund in their clubhouse located behind their house. But their nosy housekeeper and Sigmund's mean brothers keep the boys teetering on the brink of disaster.

The Jetsons was Hanna-Barbera's Space Age counterpart to The Flintstones, a half-hour family sitcom projecting contemporary American culture and lifestyle into another time period. The Jetsons live in a futuristic utopia in the year 2062 of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions.

Taking place in Civic City, boy scientist Buzz Conroy and his father Professor Conroy fight supervillains with the aid of a powerful heroic robot named Frankenstein Jr. . Buzz built "Frankie" and activated him through an energy ring.

The Ultraman series is about a futuristic policeman who secretly transforms into a giant extraterrestrial savior.

Set in the lost city of Atlantis, Aquaman is the hero from the deep who protects the sea against any foes who threaten the peaceful undersea life. Aided by his ward Aqualad, Aquaman fights for justice on the ocean floor while keeping close contact with friends on dry land. On September 14, 1968 the Aquaman animated series was combined with Superman and Batman, along with brand new episodes starring the Justice League of America- Flash (Barry Allen), Hawkman (Carter Hall/Katar Hol), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and Atom (Ray Palmer), along with the Teen Titans (Aqualad, Kid-Flash, Robin, Speedy, and Wonder Girl.) Although Wonder Girl was among the Teen Titans, Wonder Woman was not involved in the show.

Birdman depicts the adventures of a winged superhero, powered by the sun.

The Ghost Busters was a live-action children's situation comedy that ran in 1975, about a team of bumbling detectives who would investigate ghostly occurrences. Fifteen episodes were produced. The show reunited Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch in roles similar to their characters in F Troop. The series was unrelated to the 1984 film Ghostbusters (though Columbia Picturesdid pay Filmation for a license to use the name). Like the film, the series spawned its own animated sequel in 1986.Spencer, Tracy, and Kong billed themselves as "The Ghost Busters", bumbling paranormal detectives. Kong (Tucker) was the leader of the trio with Spencer (Storch) as his partner, and Tracy (a gorilla, played by Burns) as their assistant who also drove their barely-functional jalopy. Their headquarters was situated in a run down office building in an unspecified city (Spencer's name on the door was misspelled "Spenser" while the opening credits spelled his name "Spencer"). Outside of normal office equipment, plus a large armoire on which Tracy hung numerous hats including his trademark beanie, the office itself was also dilapidated, with peeling wallpaper and a pay phone near the door as the Ghost Busters' only means of communicating with prospective clients.
