fuck all political opinions this a place to relax and enjoy there are other sites for that crap

Siks 1 points 2 months ago

Agreed. However every time I say something like this certain people just call me a whiny liberal and start quoting breibart

RaptorsNineFive 0 points 2 months ago

Breitbart is irrelevant.. it’s not 2015.

ndrgnus1 4 points 2 months ago

is this a movie site or not

RaptorsNineFive 1 points 2 months ago *

I often ask myself the same thing. People argue about politics all over twitter & facebook. Maybe we should try & be more civil…
And there happens to be a forum with a section called “off topic” which most of this would fall under!

It was a good show. I enjoyed it. I didn’t think it was anti-religion. I thought it was more fantasy. I really thought it was a story of redemtion more than anything.

Must be a good tv show if there’s comments like this going on. Going to watch it lol

Pseudonym 1 points 1 month ago *

To those saying this show was created as an attack on Christianity: I’m not sure that’s quite right. Perhaps quite the opposite, really. If I were to guess, I’d say this show was designed to be an attempt at “Christian Horror”, and not necessarily a bad one at that — i.e. using many of the tropes that makes horror enjoyable, but with a particular emphasis on Christian iconography and symbolism, adding another layer of visceral revulsion to tap into for certain audiences. Basically, it seems to be trying to explore the profane using the language of the “sacred.”

Incessant Chatter -2 points 2 months ago

I find it ironic that people watch christian movies on a pirate site… they probably read from stolen bibles too

Maybe because they protect pedophiles on a mass scale never seen before?

Dodi 3 points 2 months ago *

Meh, wrong answer. It goes on with Muslims and Jews, bubba. Goes on with atheists too.

Catholics protect pedophiles.

Dodi -1 points 1 month ago *

The Roman Catholic church is a centralized religion, no other religion is as centralized as it is, so it is easy to bash. Pedophilia goes on under the radar all around us: Sex trafficking, rape, sexual abuse in the home, child brides, femicide all go on on a far grander scale than anything the Catholic church has done.

Dodi 0 points 27 days ago

Yeah, that really is true, and I’m a victim of sexual abuse, abuse of little girls that is rampant in patriarchal society, in the home, in school, in the world. Yeah, there is a much grander scale.

Dodi -1 points 27 days ago

The only reason it’s easy to keep such close tabs on the sins of the Roman Catholic church is because it is so organized and centralized. Pastors, rabbis, imams abuse kids just as much, but are lost in the shuffle as isolated instances. The abuse inflicted on children, especially on girls, is rampant in the world and pales in comparison to the number of violations by Catholic priests per se. Look at child brides, female genital mutilation, and sexual trafficking alone, or peruse #metoo.

kingarco66 -4 points 27 days ago

this is all that favourute trumpian tactic, “whataboutism”

the catholics are innocent because .. ooh look at that horrid shit going on over there!

frankly, make up any bullshit you like .. it does not make the catholics even slightly less innocent, or redeemable in any way

How did this turn into an attack on Trump? What chapter from The Art of War said that when your losing a battle to attack something off topic. Not to mention its just low hanging fruit.

i dont care if u attack him. it was the way ur argument pivoted that showed me your a clown. and the way you came back to this to make another post. i didnt even bother to read ur rant.lol

Jhigh03 -2 points 25 days ago

Im not attacking you, and im not catholic but to say I’, part of some conspiracy to discredit your claims is rediculious. I’m sorry for whatever happened to you now I’m abusing you?smfh. The hypocrisy in your statements made me laugh, hence the term clown.

kingarco66 -4 points 25 days ago *

how funny could it be if, as you say, you refused to read it?

i dont think one guy trolling constitutes a conspiracy

kingarco66 -4 points 26 days ago *

what an odd thing to say .. so if i said i thought that the way modern armies load out a platoon, and the tactics employed in using such a platoon, are basically tactics taken from those first used by the armies of the third reich .. youd take this as direct evidence i hated, or was attacking, the third reich? while its true i dont think well of them, i dont see what in that statement proves it

aaand i dont think any chapter in the art of war deals with how to use rhetoric, far as i know

I don’t see why we shouldn’t be able to discuss things here. Freedom of speech and opinion and all that. I should be able to state what I want to when, where, and I how I want to. Here is where the discussion is- not in another area.

I’m a practicing Christian, an American living in Saudi Arabia, and I’m out about my faith here. I can’t stand that Christianity is always under attack, and I can say that if Islaam fell under attack, there would be blood in the streets here, but I also want to add one thing, have you considered atheism and all of the repercussions for that? If none of the Christian or Muslim (or any major religious laws) have no backing, then rampant murder is allowed, rampant rape is allowed, and societies are destroyed bc like it or not, societal laws are based on religious precepts. This isn’t just in America, this is every, single stable government for the last 4,000 years. Religions, when done correctly, hold people together and lift people up and fight against the anarchy that is atheism. Who’s life isn’t improved by being honest? Giving to the poor? Not killing people? Not envying others’ possessions? Not stealing? These are all religious concepts from Christianity and Islaam. Atheists’ lives are improved by them, and there would be no different if there were no diety or dieties.
Yes, Mohammed was an abysmal hypocrite. As for his child bride, she was nine, and he didn’t sleep with her until she was 15- middle aged for that time. If you want to discuss his hypocrisy, please don’t mention his child bride and mention that he told everyone to only have at most four wives and he had nine all at the same time! I can tell you hundreds of ways in which he was an absolute hypocrite. Don’t pick one of the few areas where he wasn’t.

Krakken 3 points 2 months ago

wow are you so very misinformed, athiesm has nothing to do with Rape and murder! the Athiest based countries have the lowest crime rates of any religious based countries. this is verified by religious schools. athiesm is a lack of belief in a god or gods, without evidence there can be no belief.98% of prisons are filled with believers, who think the only actual punishment is from their “god” whichever version they believe in the laws you speak of are laws of the land and were incorporated into Abrahamic religion not the other way around. your books are just conglomerations of other religions. maybe actually educating yourself before spewing what your church brainwashed with would help your case!

greyfur -1 points 2 months ago

There is no such thing as an atheist based country. There are a few such as Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea, for example, who have high rates of atheists, but if you look at the list of the country’s, it would seem the culture itself, rather then atheism, has more to do with it.

cfarnold 1 points 2 months ago

Quite right, greyfur. Atheism has nothing to do with anything other than belief in any gods. Atheists’ opinions on other things are as varied as those of any religion.

Krakken -1 points 2 months ago

ok not based in Athiesm. a jewish based school did a study to determine the effects of religion in the countries they are based, they found the countries with the highest populations of Athiests, with governments that have no ties to religion were the lowest in crime, highest in education, medicine, senior care. atiests dont condone crime, murder, rape or any other form of law breaking, we know we will be punished in this REAL life, not some fairy tale one where the god will send you to eternal damnation forn simply not believing he is real!

finigan1 0 points 2 months ago *

If you want to talk about hypocrisy, look at your own faith first, christians are responsible for entire races and beliefs to become extinct, they have started more wars and have killed more people since it’s inception than all other faiths combined in the name of god,and gained the hate of otherwise peaceful people who just want to be left alone, they treat people like they are shit for not believing what they do or anyone who speaks out again’st their very corrupt and yes, evil ways. The states banning people because of where they are from and because of what they believe is no different then what the nazi’s did. And them deporting mexicans who were born in the U.S and are even more christian then they are pretty much says it all. The most bigoted, racist and hateful people on the planet to say the least. I am an atheist, not only because I don’t believe in fairy tales, but also because I can’t stand behind anything that would condone what the church has done,if there is a god, I hold him in contempt! There is to many brainwashed religious people who can never see past what they have been told all there lives, and then actually stop and think for themselves. Its all a means of control and everyone has bought it for the last 2000 years just like every other so called god that is bullshit to.I know what happens when you die, you are reborn again and not in heaven or hell. I have known things that I shouldn’t, most people would consider it a gift from god, but I know otherwise.I have done this before obviously. With every “I have been here before” and “I have done this before”leads me to believe something no religious person could ever accept. We are not actually mortal, we come and we go and then we do it again, life is like the seasons, spring you are born and grow up, summer your late 20’s and 30’s and maybe early 40’s, fall 40 to 60 if you are lucky, things slow down a lot at this stage, and winter the twilight when all you can do is look back and be assured that even though you won’t remember it besides slight cuse that you might pick up on if you have not been conformed to the point of not even bothering to think for yourself in the next one.I have been here before and I will be here again, I know it to be fact,to many things have occurred in my life to think anything else, it is the most logical explanation. Basicly a cosmic recycling program.

SgtPancake -3 points 2 months ago *

You say it as if the other religions like Islam and Judaism aren’t the same. Pretty much all religions are like that. Christianity is actually the least fucked up.

Dethanos 0 points 2 months ago

The fact that you think religion is the only thing preventing rape and murder says more about you than it does the nonreligious.
