Hmmmm….might have to watch a few episodes. One drama I didn’t know about…..
“During the 1990s, at a Scandinavian psychiatric hospital, a man known as Mads Lake confessed to multiple murders and was convicted. However, the uneasy triumvirate of Mads, therapist Anna Rudebeck and policeman Soren Rank, all have a vested interest in unearthing the truth, as a deepening co-dependency threatens to consume them all,” reads the synopsis. The film is scheduled to make its debut on June 21, 2024.
Well, this will be interesting….In 2017, Jason George left ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy to help launch its spinoff series, Station 19. For seven seasons, he was a series regular on the firefighter drama as Ben Warren while making frequent guest appearances on the mothership series. With Station 19 coming to an end, all signs point to him going back to Grey’s Anatomy, a return which the Station 19 finale helped set up.
Jeremy Renner has now marked his first feature-length project in Netflix’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. His first movie role after his accident. Jeremy Renner’s character in Netflix’s latest Knives Out film remains a mystery. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is teased as the toughest case to come across Benoit Blanc’s desk so far, with a suspect list that shows no signs of slowing down. Given a release window of 2025, the Jeremy Renner-led Netflix film has yet to set a specific release date.
Season 3 starts Sunday, June 2nd. Looking forward to this too. So glad he recovered because he would have been one that was taken too soon like so many other actors. James Dean, Patrick Swayze, Paul Walker and many others.
Jessie is such a great actress. The character she created for Fargo was both genius and outside the Overton window of cookie cutter tropes we are typically fed a steady diet of. I just love her.
its true, i often think about the hubris of white feminism and the changes in feminist waves that have happened since the suffragettes, or racism in the disability rights movement, or sexism in revolutionary movements, and from hindsight it seems obvious.. or how when training us soldiers to be accustomed to torture first they are outside the door, then theyre inside, then theyre holding them down etc.. i guess the question becomes, perhaps, can we have moments of clarity in our understandings of ourselves in our trying to be better
Great summation of far-reaching thoughts. There is much much to be done within & without. May mercy be abundant.
Thankyou both, and absolutely well said! Yes, in the ‘west’ we may have a slightly higher tier of bread & circus, and our bondage is, somewhat, more ‘comfy’ - that’s all… We are the same peasant class as the planet’s other 99%. The cops in my part of the world have an overt title, that self explains whom they serve… RCMP. Maybe one day our beast will wake the f$%k up, and roll over on the parasitic and grind them into the earth…
Wow, that was bad. I think I understand what they were trying to accomplish with this, but it failed miserably. If they had just picked a lane, drama or comedy, and stayed there it might have had something to say, but as is it’s unfocused and kind of pointless.
Police forces here love to use the To Protect and Serve motto, but they don’t say what they are protecting or who they are serving. The answer is our capitalist system that funnels the vast majority of wealth to the privileged few, and the police keep that system functioning smoothly by repressing and controlling wage laborers and the poor. In this country, the pattern was started when there were still slaves and was expanded when Northern cities became industrialized and their populations exploded with waves of immigrants coming here to work.
They do little to prevent crime against persons, or property for the most part, but instead focus on incarceration after the fact. They need those criminals to feed into the ever-growing, very profitable justice and prison system they have created. It’s scary how few people understand that we are already living in a fascist, authoritarian police state.
well said, and much like what is covered in this doc with some great interviews and analysis
police unions help police officers avoid accountability.. its like they have superpowers - “Its a system that privileges a class elite, a racial elite, people who are free of social stigma. And yet there are many people involved in shoring it up, who find themselves on the wrong side of all of those divides”…
well presented, thoughtful.. required reading..

Cumby is the only reason I’ll check it out. Likeable or not, he can act.
Yes, I just realized my misread of your wording. I am so used to people in my small world, not liking Benny. I thought the same, my reason to be interested in watching this…

But for Cumberbatch, I’d probably give this one a pass, as it sounds really depressing.

There’s a trailer here, you know? https://www.primewire.tf/tv/1414162-eric
This looks really good. Thankyou uploaders and linkers!

There has been so much whining about this show, but it got 5 seasons. TOS only got 3 and none of them got more than 7. Despite all the haters, it’s finished in the top 10 steaming shows for the last 3 weeks and will likely be there this week as well. All in all, it was a worthy addition to the Trek Universe, and I’ll miss having a live action Trek fix because it’s going to be awhile before we get anything new. Strange New Worlds in 2025, Starfleet Academy in 2026, and still no word on when Section 31 will be happening.
A little update on this new series. It is set to begin production later this summer. Maybe, just maybe it will make its debut in 2025? It has been a while since I’ve seen Holly Hunter in anything. Looking forward to seeing what she brings to this latest spin-off.
Just watched the first epi of this & it’s pretty funny & gorgeously photographed.
Conan did an interview on the popular youtube show ‘Hot Ones’ which is how I found out about this show just yesterday. If you’ve not seen that I’d highly recommend it since it’s hysterical. Conan is absolutely unhinged in it. Here it is: https://youtu.be/FALlhXl6CmA?si=nLp8Ypo0gOjqrYFC

Ah… clarity is a lovely thing…

Yes, UK movie with action, violence, adult language, thriller. Enjoyed watching this movie play out - lots of twists and a good mix of action with humor. Actors were good. Definitely recommend this one for a watch. Enjoy!
I’d love to hear the conversation from the crew on that one particular ship that vanished.
[warning] this is one of the most intense things ive seen in my life. i guess its ethnography? sans soleil meets the holocaust meets anatomy class. how could anyone ever do this ‘work’…
I honestly don’t know what to believe with all the ladies that have accused Nick Carter. I’ve not been a fan of his music ever and don’t even really now the Carters’ except for watching this film. All I know is these Carter kids were left to raise themselves and it sickens and saddens me that 3 out the 5 of them are dead now. Great job Mom and Dad exploiting your kids for the greater good of your selfishness. I wish the accusers and the remaining Carter children peace. If that is even attainable.
Only astute viewers like me will remember this show is based of a BOOK! Remember when people still read books? EXASPERATED SIGH
uhm…the 1st line of the description, “Hailed as one of the best sci-fi novels of the decade”. sigh

The first half felt like a completely different movie. It was okay
This always suprises me how different each season is and you just can’t imagine where it’s going to go next time, you think well how will this story continue, it’s kinda done, then boom a whole other direction and layer to all characters and life journeys, yet somehow connected and evolving wow, it gets deeper and better than the last to simplify my ramble lol…very good writing and casting, keep it going for much longer I reck, it is so unique and special a series, with infinite potential on this trajectory….can’t wait to watch and get more seasons and be surprised cos most shows are so preidctable and follow patterns we learn and see coming, i do too much and I like to be surprised…this is great… brings up relateable topics or awareness of others’ obstacles we can learn more compassion or lessons about too, and understanding for those who seem stuck in their ways but just need support to be brave enough to ask and grow, choosing it rather than being bullied into it….i digress….just yeah very talented crew this lot…outstanding show ♥
This was a pretty good movie over all. I had not even heard of this one. I just came across it randomly on here. Figured I’d give it a shot after watching the trailer. It kept my attention, which is hard to do with these kind of movies. It was not masterpiece, but a fun watch none the less. 3 stars from me. Could of been better, but could of been way worse. Worth the watch!
I loved this movie. It’s another great move with Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling. I swear it seems like these two can’t miss right now with films. This was funny as hell. Plenty of action. It was just an all around fun watch. Fun from beginning to end! 4 stars from me.
Renewed for Season 8 and ideally a bigger season order. (more episodes)
media as a necessary component of processing the crimes of colonialism, dont drink the tea.
I’m glad they have more than one storyline going at the same time. Or else it would be like ‘Sliders’, meaning one alternate world per episode.
What’s next, a cheap cop show?
