It must have taken hours to get her hair to look like she just fell out of bed, & into a bush.
I found it bit a bit childish, & I am so sick of CGI making mechanical things seem human in traits & movements. Why would you do that! Someone earlier gave it a good name:- Fluff.

Felt less revisionist than just a fluff piece to me, but that’s kind of to be expected given there are only 2 episodes, and it was produced by that hard-hitting mainstay of American morning shows, Robin Roberts. That she has won the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism is just a bad joke.

I’m not reading all the comments, but it seems most people like this. I’m very interested in the possibility of AI out of control, so I’ll watch it, although I’m more of a TV series person.

I like this other PI, and the idea of he and Harry together is interesting. He’s been in two other episodes, but I don’t quite remember them. May have to go back and rewatch.

Many consider the American Civil War to be one of the worst in history. New technologies made it easier to kill and maim more efficiently from greater distances, while combat strategies had yet to be modified to account for these changes. Germ theory was almost unknown, with many soldiers dying from disease and infection. Although morphine had been invented by then, the syringe was a new invention that wasn’t widely available yet. All wars are horrible, but the Civil War was a particularly gruesome and deadly event.

Considering Americans were killing Americans, in my opinion, it was the worst.

This movie was flawless. And, a somewhat happy sappy ending.

I regard this as the worse war for soldiers. If you were critically injured there was no medical intervention, no blood plasma, no penicillin. The suffering is unimaginable for those that fought this war

Cheesy Terminator wanna-be with JLo. Okay for a one time watch, mainly because the CGI is so obvious and annoying; not to mention JLo’s hair and make-up. “You’re So Vain” comes to mind and should’ve been included in the soundtrack. Thank you for the links!

Steppenwolf71 1 points 6 days ago.

Mad cheesy. You know… if they would invest like .000001% of their production cost, on a starving post-grad writer, or two, they might actually manage an original thought, or three.

Interview with the Vampire (2022)
Arcangel2020 1 points 1 year ago.

Never once did I state that all movies and tv series with the mention of “Based on the Novel by..” were terrible, merely that it is a “Red Flag” (and often disappointing to the fans of the novel/novel series). Second of all…never stated that my opinion here was the “definitive one”, that was your interpretation. Yeah, I am sure that Anne Rice isn’t losing any sleep over any opposing views about her novels, since she has been dead for quite a while.
As far as Brian L:umley’s work and his Vampires characters? They make Anne Rice’s vampires look like the characters out of “Twilight”.

~Dime~ 1 points 6 days ago.

Brian Lumley’s books are generic and boring to be honest. I read a few of his books hoping they’d get better. But nope. Tossed them out and never read another one.

The Garfield Movie (2024)
hellsingfan01 1 points 1 month ago*.

This film is at best average as everything about this film from the animation quality to the quality of the films comedy is just that average and while yes little kids might like this film for a minuet or two they’ll very quickly forget about it as that’s just how forgetful that this film really is and the less said about Chris Pratt’s Garfield voice the better.

i didnt realize it was Chris Hemsworth until he spoke rofl,
Anya Taylor-Joy dont really know her, but i liked her role/acting,
supercool that she didnt have a license but learned to do a J-turn on her first day of stunt school.
no clue that Elsa Pataky is married to Chris, didnt even notice her in the movie,
do feel the 2.28hrs was way too long

Harthal 1 points 6 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

She was the blonde woman from the fertile land that stayed behind, and she also played another role as the Dementus henchman woman with the weird mouth (gotten from the scene where they make the other gang fight over the 5 motorcycles to join Dementus). There are a few actors who play 2 characters in George Miller movies. Immortan Joe actor also plays the Dementus henchman that is missing an eye.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)

This one was good but Fury Road still the GOAT. Watching this just added EVEN MORE detail and nuance to Fury Road. Was kinda disappointed by all the CGI, it seemed a lot more obvious and distracting in this one. The side characters in this were great, Dementus is a great villain.

Did like Battlefield Earth? I just watched all of EFC and I have to say it’s by far my least favorite Roddenberry show. Possibly my least favorite sci-fi show ever which is saying a lot. They tried something different but the really awful props, over stylized scenery and bad CGI cannot help the weak storylines and bad acting.

What the hell was I doing in 1999 that I didn’t know about this series? A very young Gary Cole (4 years prior I took note of him in American Gothic…..someone’s at the door, someone’s at the door) and a very young Daniel De Kim (also took note of him in Lost). Going on my list to watch when I get tired of crime dramas.
