Cool, I didn’t know that but he does have that biker look. Didn’t he ride one in TWD?

This was so moving. It really affected me. You couldn’t change a word of this and make it any better. Up there in my top ten TV episodes of all time.
This movie was amazing! Definitively the best work of his career to date. But it stressed me out SO MUCH I had to have 3 tequila shots.
Very very carefully made. I hope like hell they talk him into another season…
I like the CAM! =:) The late 80’s want their characters back. More early-era-game-real this way
A literal ‘Who’s Who’ of Hollywood Funny Guy actors! Cast includes: Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy Hackett, Ethel Merman, Mickey Rooney, Dick Shawn, Phil Silvers, Jonathan Winters, Edie Adams, Jim Backus, William Demarest, Peter Falk, Buster Keaton, Don Knotts, Zasu Pitts, Carl Reiner, The Three Stooges, Jimmy Durante, Morey Amsterdam, Phil Arnold, Jack Benny, King Donovan, Jerry Lewis. Director: Stanley Kramer. Cinematographer: Ernest Laszlo.
oh that’s too bad. now I don’t know if I want to bother.
Stellar cast, incredibly well acted, plot twists, intriguing location. Richard Dormer, Stanley Tucci are excellent, Michael Gambon is over the top good, Dennis Quaid in the second and third seasons. I’m on my second rewatch. We all just wish there was more of it ;)
Disco! Tony Curtis. Also, ‘I need to sleep outside on the platform of iron on the edge of your building’ That is all you need to know.
I have wanted to know the backstory on Mandalorians and their planet from day one in the SW universe - loving this season so far for that.
Have you seen this? https://www.primewire.tf/tv/1334302-katla
There’s a bunch of these on my list and all of them currently have no links. I requested all the missing episodes on this one today
Another epi with warm fuzzies - the Trill are one of my favorites!
Peak TV before the Peak TV meme was invented. Excellent binge, never got over it when it wasn’t renewed.
What does assimilation mean in “this facility has gone X time without an assimilation”?
Assimilation by the Borg. The Borg assimilate everything they can get their hands on. Animal, vegetable, mineral.
We watched all the episodes. We fell in love with the first episode, and then it went to an incredibly predictable and almost star-fanning mode of centering on Natasha Lyonne in almost a jokey-hokey manner. Others have adored it, so this is just our opinion, not a criticism of anyone. (PS - LOVE Columbo, but I do not see the similarities at all.)
Cult classic. It’s supposed to be average. Light a doobie and listen to the 80’s music.
Good kickoff to the season, lots of stuff to investigate…jury is still out on her IMO
Is kind of reminding me of Snowpiercer.
In that it’s another highly inexplicable setting for a climate catastrophe refuge? Don’t get me wrong, I’m eating this up, I love the writing but lots and lots of eyerolling over here
rogerebert.com critical review gives this 3.5/4 stars. Surprised at the haters on IMDb and the other sites trolling this movie.
Really well done A-List Scandi Noir. The writing was second to none. Amazing character development and layered plot with a really unique intensity added with the 24 minute episodes. The Cast was like the Pro Bowl of Nordic Noir…Really well done!
I just added a couple of new links for 9. Look for filename NeXt.2020.S01E09.REPACK.WEB.h264-RBB.mp4.html. Any file with “cakes” is epi 10 and not epi 9.
I agree… After watching the first few eps of the second season, I realized the first season was a ‘one-off’. Season 1 stands alone as the only “True Detective” I needed to see…
(First season) The chemistry between McConaughey’s and Harrelson’s characters was a joy to watch!
This was my trashy fantasy show back in the ‘10s, I have warm feelings seeing it
Yes, he looks different as Homelander, I guess it is cause he is, like, 7 years older….And agreed, Banshee was one of the best series I have watched…What helped is it was uncensored….!!!!
Older, but his face also looks weirdly tight and plastic and puffy at the same time. Like he had work done and not in a good way. That fake orange National Enquirer sheen is probably exactly the look they’re aiming for. Aging is a bitch.
I’m looking for something historical to rewatch and was just thinking about this the other way - glad to see a couple of seasons are back up!
David Tennant is having the time of his life doing this, I keep coming back for that
If you are a medieval history fan this is very enjoyable, a lot of cool new information for me, goes in depth on the battles leading up to the Norman Invasion of Anglo Saxon England and William the Conqueror. Very creative use of play-by-play to explain the sides and strategies of the battles and the weaponry. One star off due to the cheesiness of the reenactment scenes that are used to illustrate the stories.
Even for someone who thinks Tom Hardy can do almost no wrong, this was a huge disappointment. It looked more like an actor’s character exploration exercise, no real plot, just kind of set it all up at first, and then hung out all atmospheric-like for another 90 minutes.
This is destined to be a cult classic. Trippy stylized gory sword flick that steals from things like Valhalla Rising, Vikings, folk horror, Seventh Seal, Bastard Executioner, 300. Not much acting or plot going on here except for the unintentionally funny kind, and a cinematographer that films the shit out of all 87 minutes. Straight to favorites.
I was thinking about that too, while I was watching this ep, about how it had such a strong old ST feel to it, right down to the plot and to Pike over-hamming his parts, just like Kirk used to do. And yes, I too resisted fast forwarding thru it, afraid I’d miss something, waiting for it to get that silly part over with.
The coolness it had on its first run way back then is now mostly been replaced by feelings of familiarity and nostalgia.
request links here expresso https://www.primewire.li/forum/thread/5 If you post them here they might not be seen
That’s where I post requests if there are no links. There are plenty of links already here, just none of them are very good quality, wanted to advise people.
This is the first throwback episode that made me say meh. Pike and Alora had less than zero chemistry. I think SNW has done extremely well so far navigating the challenge of updating Spock’s love life and personal storyline and the 70’s-styled high kitsch melodrama of Vulcan culture. This episode felt like it was missing the update - it was lifted straight from the 70’s with the vaguely medieval clothing and weapons and architecture, Alora’s long red fall wig, and the over the top kissy-kissy-is-coming musical cues. Can’t fault the plot - great twist at the end where you may not have seen is what was obviously going to come.
Great story, good plot twists, fast paced, maximum cliffhanger - must have season 2!
I really enjoyed this, nostalgic and reminiscent of several BW movies with the same atmosphere in the 50’s. I liked that it was slow. My choice would have been to apply the Technicolor palette and just run with it as an old time movie because everything about it feels like it was filmed in the 50’s.
