this case proofs that the system is just rotten to the core. Authorities had plenty of chances to save these children. My heart is aching for what these kids could have been had they been raised by the auntie

I was surprised at how great a job Olson did in this movie. I’ve always like Renners’ performance in anything I’ve watched of his. Over all great plot, excellent cinematography and a great job with the directing as well. 4/5

The Woman in the Window (2021)

I liked it. It had great twists. Amy McAdam did a great job. I would have preferred to see more of Oldman, because I’m a huge fan of his since the mid 80s’. 4/5

This is NOT Rosanne. It’s a MONEY PLAY, that’s all it is and I know.
And the ‘face masks’….Give me a Break science deniers pandering to the uneducated. Pathetic.
There’s a RESONE why this has such low ratings. More than one too.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 years ago.

I haven’t watched it since they pulled the dirty on Rosanne. It’s shameful IMO

Yet for me, this wasn’t about the Pandemic, yet the ‘weakness’ of how soft he was and just being a ‘boring’ show. I really like the show yet this one just ‘lacked’.

I know I didn’t see him throw any food in this episode. Lol

The Crime of the Century (2021) S1 E1
CatD 3 points 3 years ago.

So this I am not understanding. Doctors do not prescribe pain meds to a pregnant woman. most woman are afraid to drink a simple glass of wine while pregnant. and we all know the doctors say a glass of wine wont hurt. I am so sorry your child was born addicted to drugs. I hope it doesn’t affect the rest of her life.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 years ago.

I was on the opioids way before becoming pregnant. When I was told I was with child I expressed my concern of how it would effect my baby. The doctor said it would be way more dangerous to ween while pregnant and that it was safer to ween after I delivered as weening while pregnant will often cause prenatal death or early delivery. The whole system is so messed up

I’m so sorry for the pain you’ve endured, yellow rose. I think if everybody could see and hear, in person, our stories, they wouldn’t be so quick to judge and blame. As I told crane, it’s not black or white. There’s plenty of blame to go all around. Now, we’re just killing off another group of “nobodies,” so who cares? It’s sad.

yellow_rose1 3 points 3 years ago.

yes I couldn’t have said it better myself. People who were poor or could no longer work a 60 or 80 hours a week were targeted the most.

Queen of Meth (2021)

I was no meth queen I’d like to reiterate that. The drinking and drugging with my parents marring young and having a child young that is what is so similar

same to you crane. It’s astounding how many people are affected by greed for sure. My daughter was born addicted and I have to live with that gilt for the rest of my life. I still remember the doctor telling me oh don’t worry we will just ween her off when she’s born. There won’t be any last effects. It was gut wrenching to see her be “weened”. Who knows what lasting effects it has as I’ve come to learn they haven’t done any studies on it

I agree totally. I also have lost best friend and my ex husband my daughter is going up without her father. I guess I point more of my anger to the doctors. IMO the whole thing would have never took off like it did and when the shit hit the fan, they would never take responsibility. I am sorry for your loss bud

You’re correct, less of ‘that’ personality…so far. Yet tigers don’t usually change their stripes so, I watch him with a careful eye.

Gary does make it interesting, I see your point and well taken. He does have that ‘do or die’ to offer yet it just worries me if I were in his teams shoes.

By the way, sorry about being a widow. Kinston I bet is a ‘Beautiful’ place. I hope you’re enjoying it. Sorry about Justin Trudeau, he seems like a real tool. And for what he’s doing to you all with covid and that preacher arresting him…. horriffic. Yet, we’ve got Biden now and all I see for us is bad and rough times ahead.

Best to you and your children.
And yes… Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates are all ‘excellent’ actors. You’ve got a Good eye. =o)

10 days in, you’re right. Let’s see what happens from here.
The best to you and yours Yellow Rose. =o)

I see the bigger picture. However I am a victim of the opioid epidemic. I am sober now. Many of the doctors that are responsible of putting me on these drugs have now lost their licenses and were practicing in criminal behavior. I will never believe that the doctors had blinders on. They were out to make money too

Bar Rescue (2011) S8 E2

About ‘the’ weakest BR I’ve seen. No passion, all bore.

the pandemic seems to have handcuffed the reality show producers so that these shows have become boring this year. Will life ever return to normal again? IDK

The Crime of the Century (2021) S1 E1
yellow_rose1 4 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

ok so I’m supposed to believe that Purdue brainwashed doctors into prescribing these “medications”. Doctors made plenty of money off this opioid crisis as well. Give me a break. I have had doctors in my past loose their licenses for abusing the right to prescribe these drugs

I respect that yet, I’ve seen Gary’s other outings and in my opinion, he’s more of a hinder than a help. He’s about himself and doesn’t bend to work with anybody. He thinks he knows it all and everyone else is subpar. That’s not a good team member to me. Just my take. =o)

yellow_rose1 3 points 3 years ago.

looking back I see your point, He is hard for team mates to get along with. Many of them express their apprehension going into a challenge with him. There seems to be less of that personality coming out this time, however they are only ten days in

Matt…. Would be very grateful to have you on my team you rock.

It’s too bad for Suzanne but I did see it coming. The bayou is the toughest of them all IMO. The insects alone would make many Tap. It’s too bad Jake or someone like that wasn’t brought in. Lacey always taps so I don’t know why they even bothered with her. I guess it was slim pickings with to get cast members do to the pandemic

I liked Taps too but I really liked “The Game” and “At Close Range”. “The falcon and the snowman” are also my favs. I have so many. I didn’t like “Shanghai surprise” but any other movie I love. Oh and “Deadman Walking” was incredible. If I had to I would put that one at the top of my list for his acting skills he was so young and just early in his career. I lived in the country as a young teen and we hitched all the time. We never did it alone, but we are lucky to have never been picked up by someone that wanted to hurt us. It was considered safe then. Never hearing about someone getting hurt

Another classic Disney animation that has far more going on plot wise than just the spaghetti scene it’s famous for - though in fairness, it’s eons since I last viewed it but I am definitely glad I gave it another watch.

yellow_rose1 4 points 3 years ago.

My Mom and Dad took me to see this as a child and I’ll never forget my Dad crying at the spaghetti sense. My dear old Dad was and will always be a softy. So funny thinking back at it now. My Mom rolling her eyes and saying Oh Donald!

Nixon (1996)
SnakePliscan 2 points 3 years ago.

I haven’t seen it but if it’s anything like any of Oliver Stone’s other movies it will be good and fairly accurate as well, Docudrama (Platoon) is one of Stones niche’s and nobody does it better. Nixon was also called Tricky Dicky, he also took the US off the gold standard so they (the Gov) could print money, that move is playing out today in spades. If your interested in figuring out just how deeply corrupt US politics is Nixon is a good place to start.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 years ago.

Yes I am aware of the name Tricky Dicky. I’m going to give it a go. All the actors I like and as you said an Oliver Stone movie, where can you go wrong choosing to watch one of his movies. I saw Platoon in the theater when it was released and it blew me away. I’ll let you know my opinion after I watch it. Thanks for your input

Nixon (1996)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Nixon was a weird guy, he didn’t start out corrupt but some would consider him a war criminal for unauthorized bombing of Vietnam, his fall is an interesting case study in stark contrast to Bill Clinton who also fell but was a gangster before he got to office.

yellow_rose1 1 points 3 years ago.

Ok but is the movie good. Like I mentioned I don’t want to watch it if it’s long winded and that is the case with many Bios have you watch it? I also find the Nixon term to be very interesting as well.

I don’t say it often enough but thank you to those who keep Primewire going. It’s a treasure trove of films that fire up and route the memory circuits to long forgotten pleasures, and in this particular case, my childhood love of The Rescuers! 78 minutes of truly great animation, narrative and songs that went by in a flash, from a time when a Disney film was worthy of its name.
