Supergirl (2015) S6 E14
Jedi-Knight_45 1 points 2 years ago.

This show may be called Supergirl, but as far as characters go, Lena Luthor has always shown to be the most dynamic of them all. She is in my opinion, the best character on this show.

NLK3 1 points 2 years ago.

She seems to have a bit of nuance with being comparable with the team and just being a person. The others, especially Supergirl, can be too optimistic about things, as well as single noted (which works with certain characters, but still). Lena is the only real human without being a superhero… yet(?).

JHI is going after the gun rather than the shooter. And how does he not see the differences between the worlds imply a possibility of differences between Superman in both? Seeing a ton of the same Superman would imply, to me at least, some kind of experimental clone sh*t. I doubt they were at all Superman that destroyed his world.

I’ve never really seen these types of comedy/thrillers before. Interesting. Also, is that really Blake Lively nude, or a body double? If you can’t see the face, they may leave no trace. And I mean the face while fully nude.

Look at this shit, showing that the actions of the past don’t justify punishing those of the present. I’m all about equality, egalitarianism, and never thought it was right or fair to punish those who are the descendants of those who did wrong. I believe in people being responsible for their own actions. Nobody can decide the actions of another, especially the actions of the past by those long dead and gone. Issac saying that humans of today never showing evidence of slavery as done in the past is a really good point to make, as a purely logical being.

For the kaylons, it seems that time is irrelevant, considering that Issac Newton was a genius for somebody of his time. As time goes on, people learn and (hopefully) evolve. The head kaylon seems to think biologicals are purely of specified programming when we aren’t. We evolve from experiences and knowledge, whereas kaylons have specified programming, as in a specific way of seeing and doing things. Being too logical, they can’t understand the complexities of human emotion and experience. And as I consider the meaning of “life”:

The ability to experience.

(Damn this shit fucking long…)

I just noticed they’re letting the language flow. A show with a majority black cast that usually censors the word “nigga” anyway. Now it’s used openly with no censorshit. I’m prould of this reality show keeping it a little bit realer.

I like that they are talking about serious issues that have plagued our world for millennia. Pointing out the ignorance, bigotry and just plain hate for anything or anyone that doesn’t fit into their sickening and evil philosophies. Every episode this season has pointed fingers at cultures and religions that still think and do the same thing today to anyone different. This show is about more than just space exploration and comedy, its about the state of mind of our world and all the many fucked up people in it. The entire crew should shun and disown the son of a bitch for what he has done several times.

NLK3 -2 points 4 years ago.

That the beauty of shows like this, not only stretching the creative minds of how alien cultures can be, but also tell stories related to our own human flaws without using humans directly. Like using tertiary subjects when trying to flip the subjects of situations (damn, I swear I sound almost smarter when I type, lol). So far, we’ve seen alien religious beliefs of constellations to sexual bigotry (this episode). Imagine an episode related to slavery or dieting systems (like abandoning one’s natural diet for something believed to be objectively healthier, no offense to vegans or those that like soylent because “food is for animals”).

So, we got a Batwoman show with Hush wearing Bruce Wayne’s face (meaning this would be Bruce Wayne if casted), and we got Titans with an older (blonder) Bruce Wayne as well. Both are post-Batman. Cool…

Anna (2019)

The movie was enjoyable. May be another Cold War femme-fatale movie, but very entertaining. More enjoyable to see that a film doesn’t have to make either side good/bad specifically, though it’s still obvious in this film. Cool fight scenes and shooting, though of course you have your “woman throwing 200lb man around” and “trained soldiers missing,” but still an interestingly clever film trying to cover it’s bases in logic however it can.

Krypton (2018) S2 E6
NLK3 0 points 4 years ago.

See, Brainiac think he’s all smart because he’s all logic and existed for thousands of years, but doesn’t understand that there’s a desire in experiencing life because death is inevitable. Each individual has a different experience and, thus, able to bring and have brought new experiences to others. Because he’s immortal and logical, there’s no experiencing life, he’s just stuck on one state of mind with no challenge. A life of boredom and pointlessness. The moment you’ve experienced perfection and ultimate satisfaction of experiencing everything that has and can ever exist, you’re now literally nothing but and existence. Maybe pleasure, but that’s it, not that there’s anything new to seek pleasure from (if you’re perfect in remembering past experiences anyway). That’s why perfection is never meant to be sought out, as it goes against the enjoyment of discovery and improvement.

Just an idea.

I hope those were grown women in that phone video… I’m not trying to get “Cutied” on this show. That movie had a point, but they way they filmed it… NO!!! No reason to zoom in on something where nobody is activating the phone to do that, so you know that film had bad decisions.

Let me add something: The kid speaking feminism is only speaking from a fantasy. Nobody can control how the world reacts, only what it reacts to. Women can’t control whether men assault them, men cannot control whether criminals rob them, and I’m not comparing them. I wish I could walk out wearing whatever I want as well without consequences, but everybody has to, not just women regardless of more or less challenges. To the girl being smart about her teacher doing it too, yes, she gets paid, but is also grown. The one benefit about being a child is that you shouldn’t have to be prepared for the consequences of the real world for your actions… yet. When you’re an adult, you already DO HAVE TO BE PREPARED. You’re expected to be responsible for your actions and be ready for the consequences of your decisions.

Superman & Lois (2021) S2 E1
NLK3 0 points 2 years ago.

I know people hate the drama of this show (it is CW, after all), but I personally still enjoy the show for what it’s doing aside from just being a live-action cartoon. Lois definitely wants to wear the pants in the house and Natalie is being an insufferable brat, both are fair criticisms, but Imma judge the show after seeing where it goes. Of course I want a more lively, action-packed Superman, but at the same time, I don’t hate on innovation or moving the story along with where things have been going in the mythology post-marriage and such. That said, I do like the consistency and lack of villain-of-the-week formulas. Probably trying to go with the Stargirl pacing than the Flash pacing.

Decent movie, one thing threw me off was his wife was no Witch Dr. and did not protect him as far as I could tell unless I sneezed and missed something..
But she was a #itch and that is for sure.

NLK3 0 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I think the new maid somehow tricked Granny into killing her husband General, dreaming that she was the new maid. The new maid, I assume, was actually the undead La Llorona and General let her kids drown and was shot in the head. Kinda like a revenge story through possession or mind trickery.

You mean Beth? I think that’s the point, being too modest and proper that she struggles to make friends because she’s a different kind of weird. I think she said her parents were her friends, and you can tell they find it off-putting themselves.

It’s a fine first episode. Can’t say I expected a whole lot on the first episode of not-season-one of any show. Gotta lay the groundwork for what’s going on first. But that kick Green-Lantern’s-daughter did at 38:57 looks smooth and funky at the same time.

I know people are gonna say “duh, it’s a robot,” but I think she was considering him as a species of a people and grew an attatchment to somebody/something with some sort of sentience. Saw things the wrong way, possibly. I see it worked out, but I can’t help but thing that it was a cop-out to give Issac some sort of malfunction to be with her. Still enjoy the comedic social science of the show.

NLK3 -2 points 4 years ago.

Do you mean androoiphiliac, or an androiphile? Phobic means fear or hatred, while phile means love or sexual interest. That said, people have probably shown such things already. Kinda sad, but some grow attachment to their own sex dolls and such as more than just sex toys. Sheeit, sexual attachment to their own cars. What Audrey wanted to do in the cemetery sounded very tragically poetic as fuck. Her husband (Robbie) and Shadow’s wife (Laura) were cheating, died in an accident with Robbie’s dick in Laura’s mouth. Audrey wanted to fuck Shadow on their graves with Shadow’s cum in her mouth as she spits it out on Robbie’s grave. Dayamn!
