I think this is the movie MistaGG talked about.

I hope those were grown women in that phone video… I’m not trying to get “Cutied” on this show. That movie had a point, but they way they filmed it… NO!!! No reason to zoom in on something where nobody is activating the phone to do that, so you know that film had bad decisions.

NLK3 0 points 3 years ago.

Let me add something: The kid speaking feminism is only speaking from a fantasy. Nobody can control how the world reacts, only what it reacts to. Women can’t control whether men assault them, men cannot control whether criminals rob them, and I’m not comparing them. I wish I could walk out wearing whatever I want as well without consequences, but everybody has to, not just women regardless of more or less challenges. To the girl being smart about her teacher doing it too, yes, she gets paid, but is also grown. The one benefit about being a child is that you shouldn’t have to be prepared for the consequences of the real world for your actions… yet. When you’re an adult, you already DO HAVE TO BE PREPARED. You’re expected to be responsible for your actions and be ready for the consequences of your decisions.

I can’t do a no-touch club. Clubs I go to allow it. Now, putting your hands directly on the genitals, yeah, you’re crossing lines.

NLK3 2 points 3 years ago.

This is why I don’t care about bible thumpers. Looking at her daughter as a burden, trying to shame her out of what she needs to do, even for her benefit. Condemns the money she’s given, but takes it anyway, knowing she’s doing it to her daughter on purpose. I’m not down with most religious systems anyway.

Ain’t love in the first place.

Monster Hunter (2020)
Kid Kryptonite 8 points 3 years ago.

If you’re a fan of the Monster Hunter game this will be a hugely disappointing film adaptation. Kinda feel bad they typecast Milla Jovovich in these roles and give her a bad story to work with. They should’ve focused on mainly the Monster Hunter world because adding the real world element killed this. The action was fine and some of the CGI was off but this is a bad cam quality to truly judge. Just another typical sad video game movie for me.

NLK3 1 points 3 years ago.

Look up the director and you’d know his wife will be the main character, hence the Resident Evil movies.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016) S5 E9
NLK3 1 points 3 years ago.

I just can’t get behind Maise Richardson-Sellers having two character roles in one show, Vixen and Charli. Makes Charli feel too much like a side character, especially as a shape shifter who just prefers to look like another character.

Nate’s simpiness is kinda annoying. Always find it cringy when characters can’t keep their composure at all in any show or story.

Only came to this episode because I remembered something about a fine ass female rapper and wanted to look her up. Oh well… Can’t find episodes of this show online, aside from YouTube without the accurate episode names.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)

They DID allow fatalities… They just took away the bloody brutal ones.

NLK3 3 points 3 years ago.

Those were Impostalities, imo. Now, they should be able to do a Rated-M version. Hell, maybe somebody modded the game on PC or something. Just take away the 3D movement, which was sloppy as hell.

Love & Hip Hop: Miami (2018) S2 E1

I just noticed they’re letting the language flow. A show with a majority black cast that usually censors the word “nigga” anyway. Now it’s used openly with no censorshit. I’m prould of this reality show keeping it a little bit realer.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2010)

@SethMythrax Funny, seems like the two authors wrote stories that each had two different actresses, both in each author’s first one.

John Wick (2014)
NLK3 2 points 3 years ago.

The authenticity of the action is part of what makes this fun. It’s not all super-martial-artist-ish like other action films like The Transporter, but aims to be quite a bit more realistic.

Also, this movie shows how important it can be to understand another’s perspective. To Theon Greyjoy (lol), it was just a fucking dog. To Neo (lol), it was a link to his dead wife. When people refuse to try understanding other perspectives, they risk unknown consequences.

American Gods (2017) S1 E1
NLK3 -5 points 3 years ago.

What Audrey wanted to do in the cemetery sounded very tragically poetic as fuck. Her husband (Robbie) and Shadow’s wife (Laura) were cheating, died in an accident with Robbie’s dick in Laura’s mouth. Audrey wanted to fuck Shadow on their graves with Shadow’s cum in her mouth as she spits it out on Robbie’s grave. Dayamn!

The New Mutants (2020)
NLK3 2 points 3 years ago.

Version 24 Upstream is a pretty good copy.

My only issue was Anya Taylor-Joy’s lines coming off as pretentious/cringey/cheesy. I mean, the Wizard of Oz “Lions, tigers, bears, oh my” was a straight ass pull out of nowhere. Other than that, the movie is fine. Not a lot happening until near the end after about an hour, which is unfortunate.

Krypton (2018) S2 E6
NLK3 0 points 4 years ago.

See, Brainiac think he’s all smart because he’s all logic and existed for thousands of years, but doesn’t understand that there’s a desire in experiencing life because death is inevitable. Each individual has a different experience and, thus, able to bring and have brought new experiences to others. Because he’s immortal and logical, there’s no experiencing life, he’s just stuck on one state of mind with no challenge. A life of boredom and pointlessness. The moment you’ve experienced perfection and ultimate satisfaction of experiencing everything that has and can ever exist, you’re now literally nothing but and existence. Maybe pleasure, but that’s it, not that there’s anything new to seek pleasure from (if you’re perfect in remembering past experiences anyway). That’s why perfection is never meant to be sought out, as it goes against the enjoyment of discovery and improvement.

Just an idea.

Anna (2019)
NLK3 0 points 4 years ago.

The movie was enjoyable. May be another Cold War femme-fatale movie, but very entertaining. More enjoyable to see that a film doesn’t have to make either side good/bad specifically, though it’s still obvious in this film. Cool fight scenes and shooting, though of course you have your “woman throwing 200lb man around” and “trained soldiers missing,” but still an interestingly clever film trying to cover it’s bases in logic however it can.

anyway .. bit of a disappointment after the excellent FatalFive
go watch that if you havnt seen it!

NLK3 3 points 4 years ago.

Aside from having only one guy, I don’t see it as excessively “woke.” Nothing was “pro women” or “anti-male” aside from how Amazons of Greek mythology were always anti-male, none of which came from Diana.

So, is this technically 1984? I’m used to Trevor being a WW1 soldier, though mainly due to the movie.

Dope movie. Honestly came for Amy Johnston before knowing Michael J White was in the movie. Scott Adkins is dope. Actually imagined them mentioned as Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Jax for a personal Mortal Kombat fan casting.

P.S. death metal \m/

The Orville (2017) S2 E11

Am I the only 32 year old black straight atheist man who cried like a bitch? Yeah, 32. Never been in a relationship. Even had to pay to lose my virginity, then 20 others after within 3 years. To find the love of your life… 3.5 centuries too late. To think that not everybody really find the one only due to generational gaps.

On top of that, this episode showed to me something related to an Aba & Preach video based on The Talk episode where Rihanna says if you cry because your ex is dead, you’re single. It’s the exes that help make you the person your are, for better or for worse. If not for that asshole who treated her like shit or that gentleman who helped her realize her level of asshole, your lady may not be a stronger/better woman. Same with the opposite of her being worse, depending on how she takes it. Same with the opposite sex or opposite sexuality.

The Orville (2017) S2 E9
NLK3 0 points 4 years ago.

Look at this shit, showing that the actions of the past don’t justify punishing those of the present. I’m all about equality, egalitarianism, and never thought it was right or fair to punish those who are the descendants of those who did wrong. I believe in people being responsible for their own actions. Nobody can decide the actions of another, especially the actions of the past by those long dead and gone. Issac saying that humans of today never showing evidence of slavery as done in the past is a really good point to make, as a purely logical being.

For the kaylons, it seems that time is irrelevant, considering that Issac Newton was a genius for somebody of his time. As time goes on, people learn and (hopefully) evolve. The head kaylon seems to think biologicals are purely of specified programming when we aren’t. We evolve from experiences and knowledge, whereas kaylons have specified programming, as in a specific way of seeing and doing things. Being too logical, they can’t understand the complexities of human emotion and experience. And as I consider the meaning of “life”:

The ability to experience.

(Damn this shit fucking long…)

The Orville (2017) S2 E7

I like that they are talking about serious issues that have plagued our world for millennia. Pointing out the ignorance, bigotry and just plain hate for anything or anyone that doesn’t fit into their sickening and evil philosophies. Every episode this season has pointed fingers at cultures and religions that still think and do the same thing today to anyone different. This show is about more than just space exploration and comedy, its about the state of mind of our world and all the many fucked up people in it. The entire crew should shun and disown the son of a bitch for what he has done several times.

NLK3 -2 points 4 years ago.

That the beauty of shows like this, not only stretching the creative minds of how alien cultures can be, but also tell stories related to our own human flaws without using humans directly. Like using tertiary subjects when trying to flip the subjects of situations (damn, I swear I sound almost smarter when I type, lol). So far, we’ve seen alien religious beliefs of constellations to sexual bigotry (this episode). Imagine an episode related to slavery or dieting systems (like abandoning one’s natural diet for something believed to be objectively healthier, no offense to vegans or those that like soylent because “food is for animals”).

I, a black straight atheist male, enjoyed the idea of the social aspects of being attracted to an inorganic sentient being with only a sense of logic within its chassis.

The Orville (2017) S2 E6
finigan1 -1 points 5 years ago.

So people are androiphobic now? It was cool on star trek the next generation

NLK3 -2 points 4 years ago.

Do you mean androoiphiliac, or an androiphile? Phobic means fear or hatred, while phile means love or sexual interest. That said, people have probably shown such things already. Kinda sad, but some grow attachment to their own sex dolls and such as more than just sex toys. Sheeit, sexual attachment to their own cars. There was a woman who married a tree and another who married the Eiffel Tower. I swear the Gawd I ain’t lying, unless those were.

The Orville (2017) S2 E6
NLK3 -1 points 4 years ago.

I know people are gonna say “duh, it’s a robot,” but I think she was considering him as a species of a people and grew an attatchment to somebody/something with some sort of sentience. Saw things the wrong way, possibly. I see it worked out, but I can’t help but thing that it was a cop-out to give Issac some sort of malfunction to be with her. Still enjoy the comedic social science of the show.

I’ve never really seen these types of comedy/thrillers before. Interesting. Also, is that really Blake Lively nude, or a body double? If you can’t see the face, they may leave no trace. And I mean the face while fully nude.
