I figured out the futuristic part about half way through, if you paid attention to the tech they were using it was quite obvious they weren’t actually in 1899.
Researcher's comments
True about the tech…the markings, the pyramid, the portals, etc pretty much gave off a futuristic vibe. But did you foresee the stasis on a spacecraft? That’s what I didn’t see coming! And that’s what makes me hope for a 2nd season.
Agree that they’ve just picked a way too young cast. TBF you can already see that they’re appealing to the more ‘modern’ audience with setting up a love drama between the princess and her friend. Just a jammed in story line which won’t actually bring anything to the core story other than ticking the diversity box. If you just had the prince and Laura Dannon(sp) then it’d be obviously discrimination(!)
Agree! Completely unnecessary sub-plot. I watched the 2nd and will come back for ep03 but if it continues in the same vein, I’m out.
Nice to see Davis again but gosh what a slow start! Also, way too many youngsters in this to quench the fantasy thirst. After all the anticipation, hope it doesn’t become the letdown that Rings of Power became.
FYI, there’s a post-credits scene.
They were right about those parts they were making.
Spectacular ending! If you say you saw that coming, either your nose is growling or your pants are on fire…or both! The development was a white-knuckled ride that I sure as hell did not want to end! Please say there’s more to this than the one season.
First 4 out of 5 in a long time.
“Whoa! That ain’t no f@@kin’ haulcraft!!”
Luthen: “Psych!”
Wow! Great ending to a great season! Definitely did not see that coming.
Stay tuned for more royal pains in the ass.
Catherine De Medici will be back. The Serpent Queen is returning for a second season.
I hope so. It was a great episode, as was the ending of the last. No words were needed as her face was a billboard of her thoughts, and the battle within, between her need for revenge, and doing the right thing.
So true! Moss’s face was the main protagonist for the whole episode!
There were so many times during this episode that seemed as if June was going to abscond with the baby that I wonder if that was the intent i.e. she could but she didn’t. I think she’ll end up “saving” Baby Noah, setting it up for Serena to pay off that debt by helping June to recover Hannah.
She “chose poorly.” You were warned, Serena!
I knew that was coming the minute I saw the hungry look on her face when she first laid hands on that belly!
Oh, and that pull-away where you see Serena crying through the door…so reminiscent of June’s time in her attic.
And how ironic that the person most capable of saving Serena from the Wheelers is June.
Damn. Another tough ending to watch.
I think Alicent realized the King thought he was talking to his daughter and hopefully relays his final words to her.
I wonder what rock that sneaky snake “The Clubfoot” is hiding under.
If Alicent realized that the king meant Rhaenyra, the last thing she would do would be to pass on his last words. In fact, she might take it as “keep on truckin” pat on the back, if anything.
I looove me some Jaime Pressly!!
This type of comedy is right up her alley….reminds me of her in “My Name Is Earl.”
Hoping hers is a recurring character.
Oh boy! That last scene made this whole episode! I knew Tucci and Tennant wouldn’t sign up for drivel! Revising my opinion…3.5 out of 5.
Mixed feelings about the premise. Admittedly, it was an escalation of events that spiraled out of control, but to go to such lengths just to protect a pedophile?!!
‘Cause he’s suicidal?!! That to me didn’t make sense.
This is where the weight of such talents as Stanley Tucci, David Tennant, and Dolly Wells comes into play…sticking with it just for them.
PS. As always, I blame the writers!
I’ve watched 4. the french parts are not subbed yet. that will take a few more days i assume.
Search on WTF Detective for WotW season 3…subs for 4 episodes loaded…best to bookmark it.
June: “I’m coming for you, bitch”
Serena: “Bring it!”
Another great episode.
I just watched episode 2. I am confused as to why schedule says there are 2 more aired.
There are 4 episodes out but I’ve only found subs for 1 and 2. I hope 3 and 4 come out soon…from what I saw, it’s getting more complex!
Underwhelming first episode, but as for setting the scene, it worked.
Adding Neil Gaiman to my list of “Watching/Reading Regardless!”
Also from him, “Good Omens.” Highly recommend both!
Shows promise despite the touchy-feely mumbo jumbo. Sticking with it for now…
So…yeah…okay…21st century FX. But only Drew Barrymore is The Firestarter!
I enjoyed it! If you liked the “Escape Room” and “The Cube” movies, you’ll like this. I wouldn’t mind a second one.
Toni Collette. Nuff said. Mic 🎤 drop 🙌
Me too! I see her name and I don’t even read the description. She had me since Muriel’s Wedding!
These childhood memories of Picard feel very out of place and seems like they just needed the fillers to fit episode/season length at low cost.
I’m over the childhood memories…seems like every episode has them.
I’m thinking that right about now, John’s hating having a Windows 10-based system!
The episodes seem to be named incorrectly but I’m finding that on every site…so…it’s a gimmick? Whatteva!
Ugh! Dropped it after 5th episode…kept trying to see if they would “say” something…didn’t.
The episodes seem to be named incorrectly but I’m finding that on every site…so…it’s a gimmick? Whatteva!
This episode was very lively…almost as if the writers finally took their gloves off and got down to business!
This has got to be the shittiest end to a TV-Series in recent history. It might even rival Game of Thrones season 8.
I’ve never seen anything like this! Slow start, having to set up the extremely different subject matter, but it gets intriguing and then becomes the very definition of the thriller genre. If you like off-the-beaten-path thrillers, you’ve got to watch this!
FANTASTIC FINALE! It was edge-of-the-seat thrilling and left me speechless! Can’t wait for the 2nd season.
I was on the edge of my seat for this one! Well done, Ben Stiller! Great episode!! It felt like a season finale cliffhanger…it was that good!
no Mrs Gale, Mrs. Peel took over when Honor Blackman left to go be a bond girl after season 3.
This seems an almost accidental circumstance, Mrs Gale being a part of the scene before associating with Steed. Then Steed pushes her participation. The word ‘coincidence’ comes up and it might appear to be so.
The story is very organic, less about cops and robbers and more about backroom dealing.
I like it although it is the most un-Avengers type episode.
Need subs, a lot of it is in a foreign language
Jeff, turn on the captions. Look for versions with that feature. Streamplay has them.
I agree totally. Should have saved it for the Mandalorian series. Was a great episode of that series. Will he take over the Book of Boba Fete for the remain episodes?
I think it was just some insight on how Boba is getting his posse together. Also means we’ll get to see Grogu again.
And tell me you didn’t welcome some Mando time! I sure did!
For one who just finished binging all the previous seasons of Dexter in December, I could’ve done without watching this season. I would’ve been more satisfied. Then hearing that letter, it makes no sense of the stance of Harrison. Hope Batista gets him, then I’ll be statisfied
Could that be the premise for the spin-off? Batista chasing Harrison?
Sigh…now I’m torn!
Yeah…I’m not watching a Harrison spin-off…don’t like him…actor and character both. Unfortunately, I imagine that’s what the Jan 10 announcement is.
I WOULD watch a Batista spin-off, though…fingers crossed, eh?!
Agree: ending was a let-down…
Fantastic episode! I definitely DID NOT see that one coming!
Many thanks to the Uploaders that found the correct video.
So confused… lol
Me too! And repeatedly dozing off and then rewinding didn’t help at all!
Gonna have to watch it again.
I’m stoked that the OG’s are back but WHY?!! WHY??!! Why do we have to put up with Sara just to get some Gil?!!
Yeah, I’ll watch but I still won’t like her!
the space part I realized as soon as they showed her looking at the portal (before she actually looked through it). I figured they were in some sort of machine because they kept saying about the program shutting down and them being lost. I agree a second season would be good since she still has to rescue her husband and son. One thing kinda stinks though, I really did like her and the Captain together lol
I did, too!
