Violet Evergarden: The Movie (2021)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Wow they released VIOLET EVERGARDEN as a movie eh? I watched the series when it came out in 2018 i think, before Netflix bought it actually, it was a good little anime series, unusual storyline. Presumably this film will be a composite of all the 24 weekly eps.. if you like anime it ought to be a good watch :))x

A Glenbrooke Christmas (2020)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Mre Christmas fare.. This one ‘A Glenbrooke Christmas’ is somewhat slow and actually a bit dull but it still manages to tick some Xmas boxes. A perfect movie to have on in the background during the season in fact, whilst doing something else at the same time! Cheers! :))x

The Big Bang Theory (2007) S10 E24
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

WOW.. Biggest cliffhanger EVER! It’s amazing they managed to keep up the quality of this prog even after 10 series! Can’t wait to see how it all turns out in the end! :))x

The Charm Bracelet (2020)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

YAWN.. bit of a snooze-fest this dose of milk and cookies. I have to say that Brendan Penny is probably my personal LEAST favourite actor in the Hallmark stable, no spark, very boring. So, another predictable story on the ‘unexpected path to romance at Christmas’.. Oops that’d be a spoiler for at least half of all Hallmark movies! Anyway i got about 40 mins into this before i decided it’s time to stick my head in a bucket of water! So, on to the next lame holiday flick.. NEXT! :))x

Roald & Beatrix: The Tail of the Curious Mouse (2021)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

I couldn’t get on with this, it’s very stylised, 2-dimensional and Dawn French as Beatrix Potter? Sadly the script is Much more about Ms French than Ms Potter and at this stage i personally find her deeply annoying. So this is an epic fail for me, i didn’t manage 10 mins so i couldn’t offer this as a balanced judgement, just Amazon splurging a load more money on something not very worthwhile.. the money they spent on this, think of all the good that could be done with such a sum ,so this somehow seems a waste.. to Me i add hastily,, only my opinion, others may well be enraptured, so good luck with that :))x

Love, Lights, Hanukkah! (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Quite cute, a bit mushy but some heart-felt parts too. Good to watch whilst doing something else. The leading actress looks just like a slightly plump version of the original Disney Snow White, same black hair and apple cheeks! A bit weepy, you might want to watch this one alone.. Enjoy :))x

Christmas in the Highlands (2019)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

This was quite sweet if you fancy a rommy-commy something to while away some time pleasantly. It’s set in a wonderful Scottish castle, the script and acting are fine, all quite likeable within the genre. I enjoyed it for what it is, light-hearted holiday entertainment. MERRY CHRISTMAS Primewire people!! :))x

Hailey Dean Mystery: A Will to Kill (2018)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

This was a satisfying conclusion to the HAILEY DEAN mystery month back in 2018, this being the third and final part of an ongoing story arc concerning the past murder of her college sweetheart. Made-for-TV movies can be hit-and-miss but what i like about some of these Hallmark mysteries are that they’re very well put together, well written, good characterisation and also, pet thing for me, the music stays in the background and helps the plot without being invasive.. SO many movies and TV shows are ruined for me by overbearing musical scores. Anyhoo, it was a good series and i just enjoyed re-watching it all over again! Thanks to the uploader who put this link up just before Xmas ‘20 :))x

The Flight Attendant (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Hey, i like Kaley Cuoco in Big Bang, she suits that sitcom role perfectly, but i struggled with this story. In fact i cut out after less than half an hour of the first ep, stupid premise, basically ‘stop drinking biatch’ was all i could think of as primary message. Drink makes you stupid and wrecks your Life, trust me i KNOW! Anyhow, a weak storyline couldn’t keep me interested, not for me but hopefully others will like it :))x

Bill Bailey: Dandelion Mind (TV Special 2010) (2010)
TisOnlyMe 4 points 3 years ago.

This guy is simply brilliant. Every time i watch one of his videos i’m impressed by his wit, wisdom and sense of humour, plus he’s an amazing musician. I’d recommend this if you’re in the mood for some light-hearted English silliness! Enjoy :))x

The Big Bang Theory (2007) S10 E15
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Jeez this prog continues to amaze me, the ending here was just hilarious, had me rolling around laughing! I’ve been bingeing BBT since the first Lockdown and Sheldon and the gang have really helped get me through with a smile, BRILLIANT! :))x

The Big Bang Theory (2007) S10 E14

“Keep filling this one with babies.. She’s good!” Aaarrrgghh.. Classic Sheldon! :))x

Gad, this was totally hilarious.. i nearly choked on me Miso soup!!! :))x

Ladyhawke (1985)
TisOnlyMe 4 points 3 years ago.

‘LADYHAWKE’ is one of a number of movies that would have been an absolute classic except for one thing.. in this case the music soundtrack provided by ALAN PARSONS PROJECT. For those who weren’t around at the time, APP was a prog rock band from the 80s who made a few excellent albums. Sadly the soundtrack for Ladyhawke was not among their successes and the synth-led tones seriously detract from what would’ve otherwise been a brilliant movie, it IS a brilliant movie but the bloody music is so loud and invasive it really ruins the effect of the whole. So in Booger’s comment above, “What’s not to like?” Sadly that’d be the AWFUL music which UTTERLY RUINS an otherwisde great film.. Damn! Watch and weep! :((x

Prison-a-Go-Go! (2003)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 3 years ago.

With this title i had to check it out! Disappointed though.. VERY low-budget, totally lacking in acting talent, storyline and taste it’s the sort of film a second-year film student might make as a project, it’s awful! I only lasted about 10 minutes and i only held on that long to see if it would get better.. it wasn’t gonna so i had to cut and run. Maybe it became amazing later, let me know but i doubt it. Oh well, twas worth a shot eh :))x

Christmas She Wrote (2020)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Yes Danica McKellar, she of ‘the world’s most expressive eyebrows’, is always good value in these Hallmark offerings. Here her opposite number ie love-interest is Dylan Neal, surprisingly spry at 51 (really), still playing the handsome lead.. (his hair’s blonder than it used to be too, not greyer, hmm interesting.) I found this story dragged a bit towards the end, the last 25 minutes or so was just hanging around waiting for the expected conclusion, so the story was thin on the ground, still, I like to spend time with Danica when it’s on offer and this being Hallmark a jolly good time was had by all, so Ho-Ho-Ho and Merry Christmas y’all! :))x

Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael (1990)
TisOnlyMe 3 points 3 years ago.

A young Winona Rider in this coming-of-age drama about a misfit in small town America in the 80s. It’s not a bad little movie and Winona is on great form as the troubled teen Dinky Bossetti. The story wanders around a bit but is ultimately a satisfying watch, as long as you’re not in the mood for car-chases and such! An intelligent and rather thoughtful story it is also funny in a wry kind of way.. so 80s, big hair, hah! I enjoyed it :))x

Good Morning Christmas! (2020)
thedamaged0ne 2 points 3 years ago.

I’ve been watching Christmas Hallmark movies the whole week, and this is one of my favorites so far, very sweet.

TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

This one was just a tiny bit too sweet for me, i preferred the dance show with Lacey Chabert, still i like Alison Sweeney too and this movie had plenty of Hallmark Christmas Cheer.. Ho-Ho-Ho!! :))x

The Christmas Waltz (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Awww shucks, this is really nice if you fancy some Hallmark Christmas schmooze! Lacey Chabert stars and there are some good dance sequences, i enjoyed it :))x

Poor Amy! :))x

Holly & Ivy (2020)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

What a nice little Christmas movie is “Holly & Ivy”, a Hallmark movie with a difference. It’s not just the usual ‘boy-meets-girl’ plot-line.. it is, but there’s also another level of interaction going on, that these fluffy stories don’t have, which makes this more moving than the norm. Anything involving children or animals gets me all emotional and this film includes kids and a cute puppy, had me welling up a few times, soppy old git! All-in-all a very pleasant entertainment.. some real heart in this story, maybe it’ll touch something inside you too :))x

Like Water for Chocolate (1992)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

This film is Extraordinary, Amazing, Moving, Funny.. i saw it when it first came out and watched it once since then.. maybe it’s time for another viewing now i’ve forgotten most of it! Seeing it listed here reminded me.. a GREAT movie if you have a spare evening. I watched it first time with my girlfriend and we both loved it. So there’s a recommendation eh! Have fun :))x

Betty's Bath (1928)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Hey, another vintage naughty from 1928, such fun! One rat leads to another.. twas ever thus! :))x

Your Lie in April (2016)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

This is interesting, there was an anime of this same story released in Oct 2014 which i watched at the time and enjoyed ‘SHIGATSU wa KIMI no USO’. Didn’t know there was a real-people version as well though. A sad but uplifting story i recall.. may well give this movie a watch some quiet evening. THANKS PW, always something new to surprise and entertain us :))x

Lingerie (1928)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Sheriff: “I got a mind to pinch youse two!” Hah! I reckon this little relic must’ve had the chaps hot-under-the-collar back in 1928! Risque.. Very quaint :))x

The Plot Against the President (2020)
Alien 3 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I’m tired of hearing about the biggest this, and the best that.
I mean, how many Biggest Political Scandal’s in U.S. History can there be?
Poor Trump. Oh, woe is him. Here’s a couple of superlatives for ya:
The whiniest, richest, victim I’ve ever heard of. Okay, that’s the same superlative.
Just sayin’.
And people who have to announce that their story is “ the actual truth with no spin” are spinning big time.
Oh, and Devin Nunes, another whiny ass who uncovered nothing but his true colors, can go fk himself.

TisOnlyMe 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

HEAR-HEAR, well said. Did you know that the 50 richest Americans own as much wealth as the lowest 165 million? So much for the American dream and indeed for DEMOCRACY. ..and when the median cost of hospitalisation for CV is @ $40,000 (Trump’s recent trip to hospital, paid for by the taxpayer natch, would’ve cost $100,000) well, a country that doesn’t care for it’s own is hardly a model to be proud of. America is broken and Trump sure ain’t the solution.. he’s just another greedy, corrupt and EVIL white-man and if you don’t get rid of him now he may well end up IN POWER FOR LIFE like Putin and several other current dictator/ despots. GOD BLESS AMERICA and save you all from such a fate!

My Best Friend's Bouquet (2020)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Yesterday i watched another recent Hallmark Original movie, WEDDING EVERY WEEKEND, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Some Hallmark films are fun and fluffy and just get it right, but not all Hallmark Movies are created equal, some of them REALLY SUCK! Sadly this seems like one of the latter.. i’m an old hand at this and i can usually tell straight away if they;’re worth the effort or not. This one, MY BEST FRIEND’S BOUQUET, well i only lasted 3 mins before hitting eject.. maybe i’m just getting tired of watching the nuptials of wealthy, professional Americans finally, one sickly saga too far, but that’s the Hallmark formula, love it or not. If you want a good wedding flick that’s not too icky i’d recommend WEDDING EVERY WEEKEND, this one, er not so much. Happy viewing! :))x

Emily in Paris (2020) S1 E10
TisOnlyMe 4 points 3 years ago.

This is the last episode of the first series of EMILY IN PARIS and i for one am sad that it’s over, too soon, too soon! Only 10 eps isn’t enough for this stylish confection, SO many great clothes and a fun story AND it’s set in PARIS, SO beautiful! Just hope they make another series soon. THANKYOU Uploaders! :))x

Emily in Paris (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Wow, what’s happening?! This is the second NETFLIX Original prog that i’ve really enjoyed this week and i usually hate their output. EMILY in PARIS is stylish and fun, it’s young, LILY COLLINS is extremely likeable, wears great clothes and no doubt will be loved by her generation. Yonkk is right, there is something of the gamine AUDREY HEPBURN about her, though with the pushy confidence of the Instagram generation! Thankfully Ms Collins hasn’t inherited her Dad’s accent. PARIS looks wonderful in the background, the rest of the cast do a fine job and the script and editing are pretty good actually. I just wish there were more than 10 half-hour episodes..i’ve almost finished this series already! Cinq etoiles pour moi mes amies! :))x

Then Came You (2020)
TisOnlyMe 5 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Two wise-cracking old people, one a Scottish bloke and a cranky American lady, trading one-liner jokes like boxers trade punches, Ta-dah. ‘Badinage’ it’s called folks, Banter. Sadly after 70 minutes of it i finally pulled the plug, i was just waiting for it to be over by then. It’s a low-budget British flick, a ‘small story’. The Scottish scenery is wonderful but the soundtrack is just a peppering of perky pop songs.. the whole thing could be described as ‘Jaunty’. It’s easy to watch and certainly enjoyable if that’s the mood you’re in. It has it’s charm i suppose but i grew up with this type of humour, this sort of movie, and it failed to spark with me, i’ve seen this kind of thing done much better, even on Hallmark actually. I’d realistically give it 2 Stars for below average fare. (Too many puns and bad jokes that even the subtitles didn’t quite manage to get!)

TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Please enlighten me as to why a ‘Contains Spoilers’ alert was added to my earlier comment? I don’t say anything above about the story or specific plot details, merely express why i personally found it to be disappointing and unsatisfactory as a comedy. ‘A Scottish bloke and a cranky American lady’ is hardly a spoiling comment to my mind. I really wanted to enjoy this movie but after 70 mins i just wanted it to stop. Anyway, where’s the Spoiler YKJ? :))x

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle (2020) S1 E1
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

‘SLEEPY PRINCESS in the DEMON CASTLE’ is an unconventional twist on the usual fairytale via Japanese humour and anime. I thought it was cute and Very funny, it made me laugh.. Silly really but kinda fun on a dark, wet October evening! THANKYOU Uploaders :))x

Rail Romanesque (2020)

This is the ideal anime series for railway-enthusiasts who are also Pedo Lolli-philes.. with short attention spans! ..Or for kids.. either way it didn’t work for me. Outta here :))x

Country at Heart (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Aww shucks folks.. a brand new Hallmark ‘Country Music’ movie! The star is Jessy Schram, who i find quite likeable in this kind of film, she always comes across as genuine, Lucas Bryant is alright too, they work well together. It’s the usual Hallmark kinda story, would it be too much of a spoiler to say it has a happy ending? Actually quite Joyous. The songs aren’t amazing but the story’s OK. If you fancy watching a fluffy, romantic movie this should do the trick! :))x

Shetland (2013) S4 E6
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Wow! This series has been amazing from the start. i have to say season 4 was a helluva story, this final ep was quite a ride, very dramatic. Compelling narrative, beautifully filmed and edited, fabulous Shetland scenery.. it all amounts to some very classy TV. Excellent :))x

Emily in Paris (2020) S1 E1

Totally hilarious! And so far all true! I am french but live in the USA. Very enjoyable, light, and easy to watch. Typical clash of cultures…

TisOnlyMe 3 points 3 years ago.

Yes i agree, pleasantly surprised by this first episode. Lily Collins is fresh and perky, Paris is beautiful , the music is fun and the script isn’t terrible. A light-hearted show, look forward to more easy entertainment :)x

Pleasure (2013)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Having just read the synopsis for this short.. Umm, doesn’t it deserve an ‘Adult material’ sticker? Sure i haven’t watched it myself but it does sound like it might be unsuitable for anyone of a faint disposition! Just saying! I’ve long thought, ‘Why can’t there be an ADULT category on PW?’ Recently a lot of old movies have been added to the list that say ‘ADULT’ but there is no such category in the film index, perhaps that’s something that could be re-considered? :))x

Bikini Avengers (2015)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Wow this sounds like a hoot! Gotta love that auld Jade Empress though, hatching a plan for world domination eh.. i wonder if her scheme includes releasing a deadly virus that’ll destroy the rest of the world’s economy and make everybody too scared to go out.. now there’s a story, but who’d believe it! Hah! :))x

Nisekoi (2014)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

HeyFolks, seeing this posted here i thought i’d make a quick comment. I really enjoyed watching this series as it came out each week a few years ago. A typically clueless teen Japanese lad and the two girls he revolves around. It’s standard anime fare but the storyline is above average so it’s recommended if you enjoy Japanese school/ slice of life/ romantic-comedy/ anime. If that sounds like your thing then you’ll prob enjoy NISEKOi Ciao :))x

Enola Holmes (2020)
TisOnlyMe 3 points 3 years ago.

Hey, i’m surprised and very happy to finally see a Netflix movie that ticks all the boxes and comes out with a solid 5 stars. Usually i find NF flicks too violent, too short on script, too colour-saturated, i’m not a huge fan of NF and often feel they’re destroying the movie-business simply by being so damn rich! ‘ENOLA HOLMES’ however is a total gem of a film, starring Millie Bobbie Brown (who i finally realised is the girl from ‘STRANGER THINGS’..) Wow she’s grown up and turned into a very fine young actress. There’s a good storyline, a great cast including Helena Bonham-Carter, the whole thing, everything was ‘just right’ making a fully satisfying movie-experience, Brava! At 123 mins it’s fairly long but the story didn’t drag at all. I thoroughly recommend this one if you feel like a ripping good yarn! 5 STARS :))x

Cuties (2020)
James9668 2 points 3 years ago.

All of it is trash. I have talked with friends who have watched the movie. I have also read accounts of accidents happening while parachuting which educates me enough to avoid parachuting without trying it. I also I wanna know How I can I delete my account with this site ? can anyone help me with that ?

TisOnlyMe 9 points 3 years ago.

It annoys me that some people suggest banning this movie on Primewire, this story did have a culture-clash element, it was making a point and it was well-made and not at all tacky that i could see. Trouble is, once you introduce censorship where does it end? YOU might like films that i disapprove of, perhaps they too should be banned? Anything over-religious, ban it! Horror movies, not my taste, Ban them! Best policy when there’s something you don’t want to watch or disapprove of, just don’t watch it, turn it off, try something else. Because you don’t see the point of a piece of art doesn’t mean it might not have relevance to someone else. Generally speaking i’m not a fan of Netflix sponsored films, i find them overly violent and often very ‘dark’.. Hey maybe we should ban NF eh?! If you James 9668 wish to quit this site, no problem just switch off and go somewhere else, EASY..no-one’ll try to stop you.

Mystic (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

MYSTIC is a young-adult drama about a girl from London whose Mum relocates them to New Zealand after the death of her Father. Her Life soon becomes centred on the local stable, wild horses and coming to terms with the other local kids. Think teenage girls and horses and that’s about it! It’s quite a good series and i enjoyed the storyline, sadly the series just stops after 8 eps saying ‘To Be Continued’, maybe the Lockdown interfered with filming. Anyhow if a Pony-Club drama fits your fancy, ta-da, here it is! : ))x

Astrid et Raphaëlle (2019)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

Hey, this is a really good French detective series, ASTRID et RAPHAELLE. Very interesting characters, Sara Mortenson is excellent playing Astrid, who’s autistic and works in the criminal records dept. Lola Dewaere is Raphaelle the cop, together they form a team, it’s a good story. Only 8 eps, i enjoyed them all and can only hope there’s another series. 5 stars, Recommended for anyone who likes French drama with subs :))x

Romance in the Air (2020)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

A new Hallmark movie, the first in quite a while. A routine, fairly pedestrian romance, no surprises, a bit dull but OK.. some amazing views over lake Tahoe made it worthwhile though, beautiful place :))x
