Prey (2022)
Danz0 12 points 1 year ago*.

This is now by far my favourite Predator movie!

I really wasn’t expecting this to be so incredibly good.

Blew me away!

Can’t say enough about how well they made this movie.

Growing Belushi (2020)
Danz0 9 points 3 years ago.

Some pretty amusing television.

For a reality show it’s clearly a little over produced but I enjoyed it… Jim is actually a decent actor so it’s not always obvious how many takes they had but there’re way too many camera angles for most “live” one take scenes.

Anyway, it was funny and I’m looking forward to more.

Resident Alien (2021)
Danz0 8 points 3 years ago.

Hilarious!
Well balanced between dark/heavy humour and silly almost childish humour… Nuanced.
Very interesting.

Moon Knight (2022)
Danz0 8 points 2 years ago.

Super cool show. Great vibe and good acting. Looking forward to more.

The Beatles: Get Back (2021) S1 E1
Danz0 11 points 2 years ago.

Absolutely mesmerizing!
The next best thing to having been there.
Truly a fly on the wall experience.

Mulan (2020)
Danz0 5 points 3 years ago*.

I absolutely hated the animated version.
I really liked this.
Coulda used a little more live action Kung Fu and little less CG but that’s just nit picking.
… Admittedly the forced Chinese accents made it all a bit awkward.

Elvis (2022)
Danz0 5 points 1 year ago.

Not at all what I was expecting.
Fast paced and somewhat strange, circus like (by intention).
Another deeply sad story of great talent being eaten alive by fame and greed.

Solar Opposites (2020) S2 Special
Dante89 7 points 2 years ago*.

This was hilarious ! I am definitely gonna watch this on Christmas again ! :D <3 it had so many awesome jokes and stuff that just made me laugh out loud all the time. The first one was definitely the Santa coffee…stuff haha anyway I highly recommend this if you want to laugh ! :D

Danz0 6 points 2 years ago.

I agree!
Totally adding this to my yearly Christmas must watch list.

Supergirl (2015) S6 E1
Danz0 4 points 3 years ago.

Gah!
I just can’t do it anymore.
Over the years this poor show has been chewed up, digested, and passed. It is now nothing but a giant, smelly turd.
No longer worth the time.
Goodbye Supergirl.

How To with John Wilson (2020)
Danz0 4 points 3 years ago*.

The awkwardness of this show really speaks to me. The different point of view reveals some hidden/obscure truths.

People/New Yorkers are friggin’ strange!

Synchronic (2020)
Danz0 4 points 3 years ago.

Really enjoyed that.
Very good acting helped lift the simple subplot.
Well worth watching.

Cruella (2021)
Danz0 6 points 2 years ago*.

I really liked this movie and so did my kids.

They did a brilliant job of re-imagining the story… They basically “J.J.Abrams” it.

So much of it perfectly replicated the original Disney that at times I wasn’t sure where the new moments began and the old ended.

Stone WAS Cruella! Her transformation was pretty incredible.

Loved it!

Awards will be handed out for this one.

… Not sure what the deal was with all the CG animals though.

Young Rock (2021)
Danz0 5 points 3 years ago.

Instantly loved it!
Grew up watching those guys wrestling… I’m from Montreal and a big fan of Andre The Giant.
This was a real surprise and a treat.
Good production, well acted.
Funny, touching, relatable, it had it all.

Cruella (2021)
hellsingfan01 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Saying that they “J.J. Abramsed” this film is not a good thing since he’s not a very liked director on the internet.

Danz0 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Pshaw!
I disagree.

Free Guy (2021)
Danz0 3 points 2 years ago.

That was GREAT!!!

I’m a huge sap and I loved every minute of this movie!

Muppets Now (2020)
Danz0 3 points 3 years ago*.

I’m a huge Muppets fan so I’ve been reluctant to watch this for fear they’d drop a big ole deuce on my favourite franchise/institution.

It would be easy to pick apart the show for it’s shortcomings when compared to the classic of perfection that is the original Muppet Show… We all want Jim Henson back.

When judged on it’s own merit I must say that I truly enjoyed Muppets Now (such a clever title).

It has all the laughs, great guests, and eye roll moments one could want.

Now I’m going to binge what episodes I can and hope they can keep it up.

Two furry thumbs up!

The Beatles: Get Back (2021) S1 E3
Danz0 3 points 2 years ago.

Didn’t want it to end.

Jerk (2019)
jamiemark 0 points 4 years ago.

As short a run as this had, I enjoyed it. I’d like to see it come back.

Danz0 3 points 2 years ago.

Wish granted!

No One Will Save You (2023)
Danz0 3 points 4 months ago.

I really enjoyed watching that.
It hit all the creepy marks and filled me with confusion and dread the whole way through.
All that and a truly twisted, and for me, unexpected ending!
It’s not easy coming up with something that’s not a carbon copy in this genre. I think they did a good job of using the typical abduction tropes to their advantage.
Well worth a watch.

The Little Things (2021)
Danz0 4 points 3 years ago.

Very well done/acted but now I’m just sad.

Fear the Walking Dead (2015) S6 E8
Danz0 3 points 3 years ago.

Booooooooooo!
I mean it was an excellent episode n’ all but Boooooooooo!

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E7
Danz0 3 points 3 years ago.

Wah, wah, wah, so many grumpy babies complaining that it’s too emotionally charged.

That’s Star Trek all over!

From the very first mission of the Enterprise back in 1966 the writers have filled the show with heart!

If you can’t handle having feelings or seeing them expressed maybe you should watch something else.

This ep touched my Star Trek heart strings like every other episode of this magnificent continuation of the Star Trek Universe. I find myself eagerly awaiting each new episode and twist… With a box of tissues nearby lol.

Live long, and prosper.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S5 E2
dread -3 points 3 days ago.

It’s just bad. The only acting that is any good is from Caps ex-bf. The rest look like a diverse group in a pamphlet from a community college

Danz0 3 points 3 days ago.

That’s exactly what it’s been since September 6th, 1966. If you don’t like it now, how could you have ever liked it? Diversity, morality, and campy over the top performances ARE the Star Trek way!

Invincible (2021)
Danz0 3 points 3 years ago*.

Whoa!
1st episode started out all “the usual” and frankly pretty lame. I almost didn’t watch the whole thing. I’m glad I did because at the last minute it turned all “Wholly shit, WTF just happened!?!”.
Totally unexpected!
So far every episode has a good dose of wtf-ery. Heavy on the graphic violence.
Has a lot in common with The Boys.

The Little Things (2021)
NoelCoyotebleu 2 points 3 years ago.

Are you sad that it’s over, and we rarely get to watch a film this exceptional? That’s how I feel, anything will pale compared to this. 5/5

Danz0 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

There’s that, yes.
But also, it was a sad story, about sad people, with a sad outcome.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
Danz0 3 points 1 month ago.

Saw it in the theater with my kids, we loved it.

Had everything we could have asked for.

Yes, it was 80% re-used materials but in this case we didn’t object. Save the planet, recycle Bill Murray lol!

Mulan (2020)
gracetelcom 1 points 3 years ago.

are any of these links in English? the one I saw was not

Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

I just watched #13 Mixdrop, it was in English.

Supergirl (2015) S6 E1
greenguy86 2 points 3 years ago.

It was decent for about 3 seasons but it has suffered from some of the same issues as other CW shows. I tried to watch this first episode(I didn’t even finish last season) but you can tell the actors are not into it anymore. Its past its due date. We will probably never see a Supergirl show again(unfortunate because it did have potential in the beginning).

Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

We are in 100% agreement here.
It really is a shame. It may have been sappy but it had heart.
I happily had crush on Melissa Benoist all through the first few seasons but now even her incredible cuteness just isn’t enough to keep me watching.

The Flash (2014) S7 E2
Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

Well that was a whole pile of what the heck.
They’re really stretching it… Reality I mean.

If I hadn’t seen your comment I don’t think I would have ever watched this. So, thank you.

Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

Glad to be of service :)
I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did… Binged the whole thing this morning, just couldn’t get enough.

The Making of 'Tron' (2002)
Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

Full on nerdgasm!
This made me really happy.

Overlord (2018)
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago*.

I liked it. Clean, well written, no useless extra junk, decent acting, good action, and FX… It’s a not typical typical WW2 zombie flick.
Well worth it on a Sunday afternoon.

Mind you, the title makes 0 sense.

Your opinion won’t change my review or my own opinion. You’re just wasting your breath here… I like Abrams. ;)

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)

HouseBroken (2021)
cohensghost 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The voice talent should grab you right from the start, and this show lacks that.

Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

And if not that then some decent writing but, oops, forgot that too.

The Misfits (2021)
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

All around pretty weak but I watched it anyway.

Monsters at Work (2021)
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

I expected a cheap knockoff of the movies.
It was not.
Great show so far, has some of the cast and all of the heart of the original, and some fantastic new additions, Henry Winkler being chief among them.
Very pleased :)

Prop Culture (2020) S1 E1
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

That was a wonderful little bit of sentimental television. I enjoyed every moment of joyful rediscovery.

Lightyear (2022)
Danz0 2 points 1 year ago.

I really liked it. It was sweet and sentimental and used much of what made Buzz a great character. I feel like it made the character even richer than it already was. Buzz was more of a joke in the toy story movies, this gave him depth.

Wonka (2023)
Danz0 2 points 3 months ago.

Just okay.
The best parts were little moments here and there. Sadly too few to make this movie memorable.

Hmmmmm, I guess I’m easily amused by puppets… I like puppets lol.

Madame Web (2024)

I honestly don’t understand all the hate. I mean it wasn’t an Oscar winning movie by any means but it definitely wasn’t a bad movie either. I enjoyed it and I hope they follow up on it.

Final Space (2018) S3 E13
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

GASP!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

Meh, subpar.
It’s too bad, considering it had so much going for it.
Don’t get me wrong, it was fairly entertaining n’ all, but it could have been so much more.
Weak comedy/weak horror, so never managed to become anything other than the sum of it’s parts… Just weak.
Maybe the next attempt will be better.

Wander (2020)
Danz0 2 points 3 years ago.

Not bad, not bad at all.
I don’t usually go for this genre but I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I had no idea what the heck was going on but I was riveted to the screen trying to figure it out… I did guess a couple of the more obvious outcomes early on but just couldn’t figure out the why of it all until the end.

HouseBroken (2021)
Danz0 2 points 2 years ago.

Shrug
Not much good to say.
