I don’t like musicals, which is strange, because I love music.

hants2 3 points 1 month ago.

If people did that in real life they would be committed to the place where the nice people in white uniforms work!

Murdoch Mysteries (2008) S17 E22
AmieWarren 2 points 1 month ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I do not understand why perfectly good series think they have to do musical episodes. So annoying, because half of them have horrible voices.

hants2 3 points 1 month ago.

1st episode I didn’t watch all the way through, I had flashbacks from being forced to watch Sound of Music as a child

Peggy Sue Got Married (1986)
yellow_rose1 3 points 1 month ago.

I watched this movie so many times. Too many to count but it was decades ago. To go back to my senior year and have it to do all over again. Oh the many decisions I would make different. Now with so many people in my family gone and buried. I wish I could hug my sister again. Great movie. The way Cage talks in this is hysterical. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

getting old ain’t for wimps, is it. First you start losing the adults in your life, then friends and siblings

The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (2023)
JadeEnigma 3 points 2 months ago.

This wasn’t a remake.

hants2 -2 points 2 months ago.

you are right, it’s so crappy is doesn’t even qualify as a remake, other then the same story as the first brought up to todays times and circumstances…oh wait, that’s a crappy remake

The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (2023)

not only does Hollyweird seldom seem to get a idea for an original movie, their remakes are horrible

B.J. and the Bear (1979)
AmieWarren 1 points 4 months ago.

Trucker training schools BOOMED back in those days. Even young girls wanted to be truckers.

hants2 1 points 4 months ago.

I knew guys that went in debt to get a rig, then ended up beating them to death hauling gravel just to make the payments

B.J. and the Bear (1979)
hants2 1 points 4 months ago.

shows like this and Movin’ On, movies like Smoky and the Bandit made trucking look so glamorous, people were lining up to mortgage everything they owned to buy a rig, then the truth hit, and they found out it wasn’t “like it was” in the movies

Faraway Downs (2023)
grasshopper rex 2 points 5 months ago.

The director thought this made a better product and was worth doing and Hulu must have agreed. I imagine that unless one was a huge fan of the movie or they watched them back to back, most wouldn’t notice the changes.

hants2 0 points 5 months ago.

or they did it because of the writers strike, all they had to do was editing

Faraway Downs (2023)
grasshopper rex 6 points 5 months ago*.

Here’s the scoop. This is not just the movie chopped up. Back in 2020 while working on the Elvis movie, Tom Hank’s got covid and production was halted so Baz Lurhmann decided to revisit the 2.5 million feet of film from Australia, the making of which was plagued by many obstacles.

This has been recut and reimagined with 30 minutes of footage not included before being added. The ending is a bit different, but the final scene is the same.

hants2 0 points 5 months ago.

sounds like it is the movie only chopped up, even with your description

Faraway Downs (2023)
hants2 2 points 5 months ago.

this is nothing but the movie hacked in to pieces, It would be easier just to watch the movie

I doubt seriously that Bonnie and Clyde stayed vin this hotel and did any remodeling, they were lousy thieves, their first get a way was on stolen mules, they had a hard time just getting gas and food money. Clyde stayed on the move for the most part. When they did stay somewhere, it never ended well, like Joplin Missouri, and the Red Crown Tourist Court in Platte County, Missouri. Jesse James took more in one robbery then Bonnie and Clyde did in their entire criminal career

The Circus (2016)
ibgabe 8 points 4 years ago.

I love this series … the correspondents represent both the left and right and they give fair time to both parties as well. It astounds me to see so many people who know how to use the internet and spell support the draft dodging pussy grabber. Unless you’re a millionaire, he couldn’t give a shit less about you.

All this faux evangelical horse shit.

Drain the swamp? What a joke. I can’t wait to see this clown prosecuted and all his little slowflake boomer supporters whimper when they see him bald and in handcuffs.

You’re all an embarrassment to everything this country is supposed to represent.

Voyagers! (1982)
girlfreddy 3 points 7 months ago.

iirc America is one of the very few places real weapons are used on set. Most other nations use fake weapons and ammo, then CGI to add sound, etc.

hants2 4 points 7 months ago.

You think that is something, in the gangster movies in the 1930’s used real Tommy Guns and real bullets

Voyagers! (1982)

Yeah. He did not undetstand that putting a 357, loaded with blanks, up to ur temple and pulling trigger, amounted to killing urself. I was about 11 when it happened. Great show.

I made it 15 minutes, just to find out if all the bad reviews were true. They are, the big name actors must be behind in their car payments to be involved in crap like this, even Bruce Willis is making better movies then this

Star Trek: Picard (2020) S3 E1
Piglet 4 points 1 year ago.

As a child of the 1960’s, I remember watching every week the new episode of Star Trek. I have gone back and watched all of the seasons of the original ST and I have to laugh at the lack of technology. But in that era, what we saw was cutting edge technology, so we thought. My how far ST has come with all of the computer generated images. It truly is a marvel! I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching any Star Trek series, well, Discovery has not lived up to my expectations. This first episode was good and they couldn’t have picked a better person to portray Shaw! Stashwick usually portrays a smarta**. I will be sad if they all die……but lets hope not.

Star trek and Lost in Space were my favorite, remember the Bloop Monkey?

Mysterious Creatures with Forrest Galante (2021)
Trickster 1 points 2 years ago.

Yeah, he was totally off with his guess on weight and length and tbh i thought he said it looked 1500lbs first which would be about right at 750g, But you’re also wrong though, crocodiles like Lolong were measured over a ton, he was 2,370lbs and dwarfed this one, just go on to YouTube and see for yourself how huge some can get. There’s one called Gustave who’s meant to have killed over 300 people and is over 20 foot and a ton in weight, the biggest alive in captivity today is Cassius (c. 100 years old), who measures 5.48 m (17 ft 11 in) – the equivalent of two ping-pong tables laid end to end. Captured in 1987 in northern Australia, he was moved to Marineland Melanesia wildlife park. The fact is saltwater crocodiles have broke a ton many times it’s just the ones people have regularly seen like the ones I’ve named get accolades, but there will be bigger ones than those in the right areas of the world,

hants2 2 points 2 years ago.

once again, Wikipedia is caught in a lie, lol
