World War I, apparently. There is a series of quick blackout gags, including a soldier that throws the pin, is blown sky-high by the grenade, and is caught in a net by an ambulance driver; one soldier's encounters with very smart bullets; a machine gunner with the jitters. Porky leads a charge, but with no support from his company, he runs back and dives under Beans' bunk. After a quick chorus of "You're in the Army Now," a messenger pigeon drops in with news that General Hardtack is being held prisoner. They dash off in a motorcycle/sidecar, chased by another smart bullet, and arrive in the nick of time to dispatch the general's captors. They fly off in a plane and get shot down to end up together in the hospital.

The bears go out for a bicycle ride while their porridge cools. Goldilocks comes along, but stops at grandmother's house instead, where the wolf is waiting. He sends her away, then realized she'd do just fine, so he rushes over to the bears house. Red gets to granny's house, finds a note from the wolf, and calls Goldy.

The king returns to his castle, and asks where the queen is; she's in the parlor, and won't be seen, according to the title song. He goes to his throne and summons his jester, Goopy Geer. Various bits of silliness ensue (including an Amos & Andy impression cut in some versions). A black knight arrives and threatens one of the young ladies in court; Goopy fights him off, first with an ax, then in armor from kitchen utensils, then butting him with a mounted animal head, which makes the knight's armor fall apart. He pulls it together again and runs away.

An aging hero is looking through the photo album and remembering the Gay 90's, and in particular a picnic interrupted by villainous Roger St. Clair, who tries to tempt Emily to the big city and away from Harold; when that fails, he takes her by force. Six months later, Harold is still searching; Emily is forced to sing on the stage of Roger's bar, accompanied by a barbershop quartet on "All Is Not Gold That Glitters." Harold passes by and hears her. Roger beans him with the curtain and ties Emily to the railroad tracks. Harold rescues her; there follows a sawmill scene, a shootout, and ultimately victory for our hero. Back in the present day, they wonder what happened to Roger, which is his cue.

The Lone Stranger is sleeping when his faithful, if overly caricatured, Indian scout sees stagecoach driver Porky being robbed by a bad guy. The scout summons the Lone Stranger, who rides to the rescue. The bad guy goes after him (and, briefly, the narrator). But just in the nick of time, the Lone Stranger recovers and conquers the bad guy. Meanwhile, Silver and the villain's horse have been having their own close encounter, and Silver returns with several little colts.

Various insects have taken over a kitchen. After some playing with the food, one bug croons like Bing Crosby, then does some very showy flying which gets him all the girls. A spider drops down, and he runs in fear, leaving his girlfriend vulnerable. The other bugs manage to get the spider, eventually trapping it on flypaper.

Felix chases a mouse onto a ship, gets seasick, and eventually finds himself in Holland. He flirts with a local Dutch girl and angers a local man who hits him in the head with a wooden shoe. He makes a deal with another man for a dish of milk in exchange for watering the man's plants, but Felix accidentally puts gin into the watering can and gets the plants drunk.

The farm is suffering through a terrible drought. Porky's father sends him to the store to buy some feed with their last dollar. Outside the store, a huckster is selling pills to create all kinds of weather, and they really work. Porky buys them instead of the feed, but when he gets home, his angry father throws them on the ground. The animals eat the pills, and are afflicted with lightning, earthquakes, fog, etc. Finally, Porky explains, and he and his father go looking for the rain pill, but before they can get it, a duck (still afflicted by a wind pill) eats it. Fortunately, the wind causes the duck to eject the rain pill into a cloud and the farm is saved.

A poor, mistreated wife who has to bring all her money home to her lazy, shiftless husband is left by that one, because he found a new girl to hang on to. When she spots him with his new flame while she's singing torch songs in a cheap shanty, she tries to win him back, but that leads to a shoot out with an unusual result.

After a terrible storm at sea, Bosko ends up shipwrecked on an island. He wakes up on the beach as two monkeys are fighting over his hat. They upset a nest, and an egg falls out, splattering on Bosko's face. "Yolk's on you!" cries a parrot, who can't stop laughing at, and repeating, his pun. The parrot laughs so hard he falls off his branch and into a dead tree trunk shaped like a tube. When he comes out, his feathers have been torn off. Bosko soon has worse troubles than a mocking parrot. A lion chases him. Bosko is saved by an alligator when the lion accidentally jumps into its mouth. But Bosko is not safe yet. He faces his greatest danger when he encounters simian cannibals.

This Merry Melody cartoon, "Robin Hood Makes Good," features three squirrels who find a book about the adventures of Robin Hood, and decide to emulate the hero by becoming merry outlaws of the forest. A fox reads the discarded book and decides there is something in it that will provide a meal (or three) for him.

A mouse fakes blindness and plays his fiddle; he returns home, where it becomes apparent he's rich. The tax collector arrives, and he pulls various levers and presses buttons to make his home look like a shack. The tax collector can't catch him. A cat sees this and tries baiting a trap with a gold coin; that fails, but a gold crown on his tooth lures the mouse in. Or does it? The mouse telling this story to his grandchildren looks oddly familiar...

A travelogue spotlights the tropical island of Pingo Pongo, showing the unusual flora and fauna and the lives of the happy natives.

A woman's house, on the side of the cliff, is about to fall into the sea, due to waves washing away the cliff. In a panic, she call's Porky's moving company. Porky's assistant, a former boxer, starts swinging when he hears a bell until hit on the head, when he stops and says, "Okay, boss." Porky's van is pulled by an ostrich. They get to the house and have various adventures while moving the furniture, mostly because the entire house keeps tilting back and forth on the shaky ground. Finally, a big wave washes most of the house's contents into the van.

Daffy Duck, who only seems to awaken to the sound of a struck platter cover, is a boxer (managed by Porky Pig), who boxes against a champion rooster in a widely commercialized event. His techniques include using crazy antics, dirty tricks and sight gags.

A battleship, manned mainly by dogs (and Porky), and whose captain sounds rather like Yosemite Sam, sets sail. When the crew threatens to get to the mess hall before the captain, he orders them to halt (and they do, some in mid-air). The ship gets a radio message of a reward for capturing the pirate submarine. The crew sets out in planes to go looking, leaving Porky behind. Naturally, the sub comes after the ship, and defense is up to Porky. He manages to repel the boarding party and winches the sub onboard with a plunger.

Henery Hawk, making his first appearance in a Warner Bros. cartoon, refuses the worm his mother is trying to feed him; after all, he's a chickenhawk. That night, he sneaks out to the henhouse, but comes up against a protective rooster.

Johnny Smith enters an America where the Indians behave like 1930s average Americans. When he is arrested, the girl Poker Huntas rescues and elopes with him.

The Gambling Bug causes gambling fever in anyone he bites. He bites a cat, who becomes eager to play gin-rummy with a bulldog for penalties. Even though he keeps losing and has to endure more and more painful penalties, the cat is compelled by the Gambling Bug's bite to continue playing.

Two dogs known as The Two Curious Puppies (one large and brown; the other small and white with a black tail) visit an All Electric Model Home, as the sign outside bills it. The "modern conveniences" inside prove to be anything but convenient for the two canines. The dogs tangle with the Electric Dish Washer, the Napkin Folder and the Automatic Piano that has a panoply of musical instruments, and even mechanical singers, appearing out of little trap doors. The worst "convenience" is the Automatic Sweeper, an annoying robot that suddenly appears to sweep up anything the second it touches the floor. To the small dog's frustration, he even sweeps up the dog bones from the Dog Bone Dispenser.

We open on a big game hunter telling a little boy (a caricture of child star Freddie Bartholomew) stories about hunting in the jungles of Africa. He tells him a story about a day he was hunting there. The game hunter gets help from African natives to catch some animals, with some odd results. Sight gags include a African native with a record player hidden in his huge lower lip, an elephant who can't remember something he was supposed to do, and the game hunter riding a elephant and having to "shift gears" like an automobile to get up a steep hill.

Porky and his dog, Streamline, plant a large garden in creative ways. The neighbor chickens see the garden as one big buffet/cafeteria.

The mice are on the loose after hours in a doctor's office, playing with the various pieces of medical apparatus. Susie Mouse is caged for research until her lover Johnnie frees her. A mouse orchestra plays a swinging wedding song. But throughout, a cat is stalking...

Egghead decides his road to riches is through a boxing correspondence course. When he graduates, he takes on champion Biff Stew. Biff pummels him mercilessly (the correspondence course record continues to coach him during the match), but by accident, he knocks Biff out until we see it was all in Egghead's head, after being knocked out by the practice equipment.

Hayseed Egghead arrives in the big city of Bagdad and quickly wins a magic lamp in a carnival coin-operated crane game. The shady character who was playing the game before him covets the lamp, and tries to steal it. Egghead sees a poster: The sultan is having a contest for his daughter's hand in marriage. With his lamp, Egghead thinks he's a sure bet; he conjures up a magic carpet, and he's off. After a couple bad vaudeville acts, it's Egghead's turn, but in the meantime, the bad guy swapped the lamp for a coffeepot. Egghead is thrown out, then sees the bad guy using the lamp; Egghead breaks in, steals the lamp and the girl, and flies off. But she uses the lamp herself to conjure up a real hunk to replace the nerdy Egghead.

Porky and some of his fellow sailors are on shore leave in a bar. A pirate captain discovers that his own crew has jumped ship and forces everyone in the bar to become his crew. The captain treats the crew badly, particularly denying them food (eating the meat off bones, then passing them only the bones). The crew mutinies after a week; the captain tries to fend them off with a cannon, but ends up sending himself into the explosives stores. They explode, and the captain ends up towing the crew on a raft.

Animals put on a musical show, to comedic effect.

Things are moving pretty slow in the Weaver cabin. Most of the men (and animals) are sleeping, and even those who are awake are only half-awake. A microphone for the radio station KFWB drops in front of four of them. They snap to and burst into song (with a nap during the commercial). They sing of the joy of shooting McCoys. The McCoys, called skunks by a young boy with a deep voice, shoot their question at the Weavers: "Do ya mean it?" The reply: "Yas we mean it!" The feud is on. Coming on a scooter is "Elmer Fudd, Peacemaker" (though the character design and voice is that of Egghead). He suggests peace to the Weavers, and gets a backside of buckshot. The McCoys give him the same response. The sheriff catches one combatant off-side and gives him a 5 yard penalty. Elmer stands in the middle and again pleads for peace. Everyone gangs up around him; there's a huge brawl, and only Elmer is left standing.

A mouse, being chased by a cat, enlists the help of a sleeping bulldog. When the dog awakes, the mouse hides in a hen's nest, and the cat disguises himself as a hen - and even does a hen imitation when the chicks hatch. The mouse then keeps pointing out the cat's hiding places, but when he points to a dump where the cat isn't hiding, the dog turns on him. The mouse paints an apple black and lights the fuse, but it explodes and sends him to mouse heaven.
