TV Show: Widget, the World Watcher ( 1990 )
The show focused on a 4-foot-tall (1.2 m), purple alien from the Horsehead Nebula named Widget who could shapeshift (usually by spinning like a top into different forms, in early episodes he seems to still be getting used to his power). He and a group of young, human friends; brothers, Kevin, Brian and their teenage sister Kristine, would go through a number of adventures to protect the natural environment from those who wish to plunder or harm it. Later on they were joined by (fellow shapeshifter) Half-Pint, Widget's mischievous, overly-curious, hyperactive cousin. Widget is frequently accompanied by the Mega Brain, an extremely intelligent but somewhat clumsy being who appears as a floating head (with a transparent cranium) and floating hands.

George and the Dragon is a British situation comedy made by ATV for the ITV network which was transmitted in four series and 26 episodes between 19 November 1966 and 31 October 1968.The regular cast was Sid James, Peggy Mount, John Le Mesurier and Keith Marsh. The show was written by Harry Driver and Vince Powell; Shaun O'Riordan was the director, and Alan Tarrant was the main producer.James plays George Russell, a handyman and chauffeur, and Mount the housekeeper Gabrielle Dragon who are employed by Colonel Maynard (Le Mesurier). Marsh plays Ralph, the gardener. After Russell's lascivious behaviour has been responsible for the resignation of 16 previous housekeepers, Gabrielle, a formidable widow in her forties, will have none of it. The two leading characters are frequently at crossed swords with each other and George regularly schemes to remove her from her job.

Originally airing on ABC, The All-New Super Friends Hour was a huge ratings success for the network and an instant fan favorite. Featuring the World's Greatest Super Heroes, the show also introduced a slew of new characters including Zan and Jayna (aka The Wonder Twins), and their space monkey Gleek. With their iconic exclamation "Wonder Twin Powers Activate!," the twins would touch fists in a burst of light transforming Jayna into the shape of any animal and Zan into any form of water imaginable. The cartoon series also featured guest stars Black Vulcan, Apache Chief, Hawkman and Hawkgirl. The 32 cartoon episodes follow the Super Friends as they confront their old foes and new villains such as the Hydronoids and Dr. Cranum in their quest to protect mankind.

In the near future, Professor Sharp, head of the Special Projects Labs (SPL), creates a new form of technology to augment humans through bionics. His first subject was Jack Bennett, a test pilot who secretly acted as Sharp's field agent, Bionic-1. On a family ski vacation in the Himalayas, an alien spacecraft triggers an avalanche that buries the entire family, exposing them to the unusual radiation of a mysterious buried object. Jack frees himself but discovers his family in a comatose state. Theorizing that Jack's bionics protected him from the radiation, Professor Sharp implants bionic technology in the others, awakening them. Afterward, the family operates incognito as a publicly lauded team of adventuring superheroes, the Bionic Six.

James "Dash" Derringer, an ace Starcom pilot, was the star of the series, and several of his teammates were family members. He was also backed up by the resourceful ace pilot John "Slim" Griffin, whose niece was yet another Starcom pilot. Other heroes on the Starcom side included Col. Paul "Crowbar" Corbin and Admiral Franklin Brinkley. The show had very high quality production, with top notch animation and relatively mature subject matter and dialog. Together, the members of Starcom fought Dark's legions of robotic minions, flying into battle in a fleet of advanced spacecraft.
