She convinces the gang to let her seduce and marry the aging circus owner, Lon, in order to secure the entire circus fortune after he "suffers an accident". "People die all the time," Lucy says. The freaks are on to their scheme, however, and when the youngest of them is caught by the ruthless gang, they show no mercy to ensure her silence. When the circus folk find the child's remains, they swear vengeance, and no one is safe from their fury--least of all, the wily Lucy.

Hands sculpted in stone, hidden in the niches of an ancient house, are regarded as sources of a curse by the present inhabitant, a country gentleman addicted to gambling; and indeed he does go to an early grave after experiencing bankruptcy. The house then passes to another family, one of whose sons becomes obsessed with the hands. This son develops sadistic tendencies and, acquiring hypnotic powers, finds himself exercising a mystical control over a brother's fiancée. She repels him, however, and in doing so breaks the spell. The hypnotist, turning to the stone hands, is killed.

In 'Jack Falls Down', Jack Clayton is an unscrupulous insurance agent who is confronted by Death (aka: the Grim Reaper) with an offer to take the life of a office co-worker, named Leslie, in exchange for his own life. In 'The Big Garage', a newish businessman, knowingly only as 'B' finds himself trapped in a living nightmare when his car breaks down in a small town and he finds himself in more or less a prison of a garage in his frantic quest to search for his car. In 'Living on Video' an average guy named Joe inexplicit ably finds his entire life in front of any video screen that he comes into contact with with his privacy robbed. Three unrelated horror shorts from 1975 UK horror anthology series "Classics Dark and Dangerous" edited together into one horror film anthology with three segments. Each story features a woman who willingly or unwillingly spreads evil. In "Mrs. Amworth", an enigmatic eccentric elderly lady arrives at a small gloomy Sussex village to live in a mansion that was supposedly once owned by her ancestors. She becomes the life of the town by organizing wonderful parties that the villagers come to enjoy. However, strange vampire-like attacks begin occurring in the village around the same time. In "The Mannikin", Simone, a young singer on the rise, starts having strange back pain. Soon, a bizarre growth forms on her back. Terrified, she finds out that it's not a disease per se, but a satanic curse tied to her late estranged mother and her servant and that a horrible demonic creature called the "mannikin" is being reborn through her back. In "The Island" set during a war, Lt. George Simmonds takes leave from combat to visit his former lover Jenny Santander. She lives in a mansion on a secluded island. Everyone, including the ferryman, claim that the whole island is haunted and warn him not to go there. George, hardened by the real horrors of a war, refuses to believe in old wives tales and heads there anyway.
