A dark and cluttered basement is transformed from dingy man cave to contemporary couples retreat with the addition of light, texture and pops of color. By covering a dated brick fireplace with bamboo pulp wall tiles, re-purposing wood paneling and newspaper to create a modern wall treatment and the creation of a bar made from wine staves and wine bottles, the basement becomes a modern and multifunctional space. With the addition of French doors to bring in light and sliding glass door storage walls, clutter is covered and the room becomes a contemporary couples retreat to use for work, cozy evenings and entertaining. |
