The great plains of Africa are home to some of the most iconic animals on the planet. Growing up here means safari babies face immense challenges that will really test them. With the largest herds on the planet all competing for the same food, and dangerous predators round every corner, the African savannah is a hugely competitive place.This film follows animals including the newly born elephant calf who, with her mum, has become separated from the safety of the herd. She must battle against scorching heat to search for the rest of the family. Even predators are having a hard time; six adorable cheetah cubs are chased from a kill by vultures, and now they need to start to learn to hunt for themselves. Elsewhere, a young zebra foal has to cross the treacherous waters of a crocodile-infested river - despite her still-wobbly legs.They are all setting out on their own adventures, and must learn fast if they're going to make it to adulthood. |
