Ads about new cancer treatments abound on the Internet, many lacking scientific evidence. Add to that the higher costs and cancer patients and their families are having trouble making a wise choice. The Japanese government recently revised the medical care law to ban such advertising, but is that enough? We discuss the various kinds of support cancer patients need.
