I didn’t watch TNG back in the 1980’s but I did watch the original Star Trek back in the mid to late 1960’s. Diana Muldaur was in 2 episodes of the original series and she played totally different character; Dr. Jones and then Dr. Mulhall and here she is again 20 some years later playing another doctor on TNG as Dr. Pulaski. Very interesting indeed. Roddenberry wanted her as a permanent character on the original but she didn’t have chemistry with the other actors, which were probably Shatner and Nimoy.
from what I understand, she was very hard to work with regardless of the series. I wasn’t too fond of her myself :/
