I loved Polite Society 2023. It was such a fun and uplifting film that made me laugh out loud and tear up at the same time. It was about Ria Khan (Priya Kansara), a British-Pakistani teenager who dreamed of becoming a stuntwoman, and her sister Lena (Ritu Arya), who was about to marry a seemingly perfect but boring man. Ria was determined to stop the wedding, and she enlisted the help of her friends to pull off a crazy heist. The film was full of hilarious jokes, references to pop culture, and amazing action scenes that showed off Ria’s skills and imagination. I was blown away by Kansara’s performance as Ria. She was so charismatic and fearless, and I could relate to her struggle to follow her passion and fit in with her family and culture. Arya was also great as Lena, who had her own dreams and doubts. I loved the chemistry between the two sisters, and how they fought and supported each other.

The film also touched on some important issues, like identity, culture, and sisterhood. It showed the challenges and joys of being a second-generation immigrant in Britain, and how Ria and Lena navigated their dual heritage. It also celebrated the diversity and richness of Pakistani culture, while also making fun of some of its stereotypes and traditions. It also highlighted the importance of female friendship and solidarity, and how Ria and her friends stuck together through thick and thin.

Polite Society 2023 was a wonderful film that made me feel good and inspired. It was one of the best films I’ve seen this year, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good story with a strong female lead.
