i remember this when it came out and compared Brian cox Lecter with Anthony Hopkins. i fucking love Anthony Hopkins BUT, i always had a problem with the version of Lecter that he played. iām not saying that he did a bad job i think it was amazing but the near supernatural villainy of his Lector i found to be slightly over the top. Brian Coxes version was truly chilling because he played him to be an insane human not a super human caricature. Brian Coxes version was pitch perfect.his super power was his IQ, his weakness was that he was insane. it was very similar to Madds Miklesons version in the tv adaptation. in Hopkins version, insanity seemed to be almost a super power.
