I’m not sure if it’s because I’m from the southeastern mountains of the lower 48 or what, but I call bullshit on the majority of this show. For instance where they say; “Here in Alaska you can’t go into the city to a hardware store and get supplies, or what you need to make it out here” 1 minute later, “I went into the city and rented this bulldozer” or They put a road through “our” land and ruined our way of living” 2 minutes later; Were going to help people who might get stranded and die out here so we’re putting a small wooden shelter out here for them. If you took my shit here in the south and your ass comes onto my homestead, I’m not helping you do shit. If you die? Well you shouldn’t have been out here in the first place.
As far as the couple that claimed they barely made it out? They had an entire camera crew with cellphones with them the entire time, seriously?
I get that it’s entertainment but, when they put scripted shows out like this, it sends the wrong message to people that actually believe and think they can survive in the wilderness on their own. In reality, they wouldn’t last a day out here. Again, maybe it’s just me, who knows. Welp, time to get back at cooking the trout I caught earlier over the fire.
