Train to Busan (2016)

This is a rare, nearly perfect, film. Rare, because horror films generally don’t tick all the boxes in terms of a complete story-line that informs, engages and excites the viewer. This film does all that, and more. It is a story about a father and daughter, about the values the world imposes on all of us regarding what is successful and what isn’t. It’s a story of classes of people and how we form opinions according to what we see, not what we know. It has a heart, heroes and … absolute, twitching, bloody, terrifying horror. This is my third viewing of this film, and it never disappoints. I always notice something new, something the director took time to make just so. Horror lovers will fall in love with this film, even if they don’t like to read subs. Highly recommended. 4.9/5
