Genuinely curious to know how many people end up actually catching the credits scenes when the previous 8 episodes all had 6-8+ min of credits; you’d think that’d condition people to just turn it off. Anyway, I’m overall disappointed with the show as a whole and likely won’t plan on watching a season 2 if there is one. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad, but it just isn’t good and certainly not good enough to warrant a 9 episode series; episodes 1-8 could’ve been condensed into maybe 2 and the whole thing could’ve been a 3 episode mini-series, however, Disney needs those subscriptions to renew. It’s the reason why the Manadlorian is a weekly show as well, so I don’t feel as though that assumption is a leap in logic.

I was really interested in the concept before the series started, but it just stumbled out of the gate and dragged along each week. It unfortunately also confirmed the suspicion that many of the Marvel Disney+ series would be little more than glorified commercials for future Marvel movies. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad move, especially with how much world-building they have to do now that they re-gained the rights to X-men and Fantastic 4, but you have to call a spade a spade and this show was 3/4 gimmick with 1/4 substance.

If you enjoyed it then that’s great; I hope you continue to do so. I’m just not very optimistic anymore about any of the other shows in the pipeline if they go on to follow a similar formula. X-men the animated series is nearly 30 years old now and still holds up really well; that’s a high benchmark, but given the fact that Marvel has so many great creative minds on the team as well as Disney’s endless cash stack, it didn’t seem like much of an ask. Again, this is my opinion, so don’t bother arguing. However if you’re someone who enjoyed this series then I highly recommend you check out the X-men animated series either here or Disney+ as it’s currently available on both. Not only is it an excellent series faithful to the source material, but it’s a perfect jumping off point for anyone who’s not too familiar with X-men. Cheers.

I agree with some points you made. I would have liked it better if instead of doing a lot of episodes of the Sitcom era, I love the sitcom stuff, that they would have just done that just in just one episode and went straight to the point that Agnes was indeed Agatha in the first episode then the next two episodes use as backstory for both Agatha’s Origin story and how Wanda started the Hex and why she did it and another episode about everything outside the hex until they get caught up to the point with all of us. Then they could have used the rest of the season to explore the Darkhold and Wanda’s true powers and what she can do coming down to what we kind of see in the finale. To me just too much Sitcom stuff when they could have done all of them in one Episode.
