Very sad and frustrating story. Should’ve called the police on the virulent lawbreaking neighbour. On an entirely unrelated note, these interviewees show how the Delco accent actually sounds. I love Kate Winslet, but her accent in Mare of Easttown is really off…to an outsider’s ears at least. Words like know, on, off, most, go. She tightens the o sound too much into an oo sound. When I first started watching it, I was wondering where it was supposed to be taking place. They do kind of say “wudder” but it’s not so pronounced that it sounds exactly like w-u-d-d-e-r, which is exactly what Winslet says in the first episode, and man, it is cringey bad. The Delco accent is very similar to SE NJ accent, where all my ex in-laws are from.
