Welllll, I like it! I WILL LOVE it. I appreciate being able to watch now; it’s just too dark. But I’m looking forward to a DVD version! This film is an artful & modern interpretation of the classic tale of Sir Gawain and The Green Knight which can be (sorta) considered a spin off of Le Morte d’Arthur/Camelot/Excalibur. If anyone has trouble understanding the movie (especially because the filmmaker takes a lot of poetic license), I can give you a link to an excellent article that is both a quick explanation of the film -and if you want to know more - a mini refresher course about legends of knights, chivalry, Christianity, magic, the Dark & Middle Ages & how it’s all entangled. It makes everything perfectly clear. More of y’all will then like, maybe even love, the movie! ;) P.S. Don’t be afraid to say it’s nonsensical b/c it IS without the background knowledge. Who remembers all of Senior year English Lit?! =) Cheerio!
