Surviving R. Kelly (2019)

  1. Generalizations do a lot of harm and are virtually never useful.
  2. This is one of the silliest generalizations I’ve ever encountered. R&B is a great and beautiful genre of music, with a huge range of listeners and artists — tens of millions of people who absolutely do not fit one profile or few profiles.
  3. Would you also assert that some other genre (C&W, for ex.) draws troubled people just because of a few bad apples? Or that all people in the medical profession are abusers because Dr. Larry Nassar is?
  4. No one — not even a board-certified psychologist (I’m pretty sure you aren’t one) — can tell at a glance that someone is “not quite right.”
  5. “Not quite right” isn’t a clinical term, it’s a judgment — and it’s a pretty loaded judgment at that. Dog-whistle much?

All music has a psychological effect on its listeners no matter what it is. I just think its important to not allow the media to shape your opinions about anyone. People like our FBI study behavior and there more than just psychologists and after hearing them speak and seeing the examples of body language of liers and killers i learned alot. i dont really care what other people think. I am not a psychologist. Never claimed to be one. I will say that they are liers and dont show real trauma behavior and cover there faces and then smile when talking about what happened to them. I dont trust this crap because i was on a court tv show. I was also lied to every step of the way they distorted truth like crazy made things up and added to a story that wasnt even real. so i know the lengths that producers will go to to over dramatize. i know that first hand. This was lies and heavily over dramatized none of these girls were prisoners they could leave anytime they wanted. they were pissed because they self sacrificed and didn’t get what they feel they wanted in return. They had cell phones to communicate and the whole time i didnt hear from RKELLY Thats called HOLLYWOOD. you seen a short interview of him understandably upset. He was the only one that showed REAL emotion during this whole watch. i dont think he was crazy just because of that interview i think he was the only honest one. And we dont know what happened on the set before the interview they needed him to be angry and upset. You cant believe what you see and hear on television
