Where else could one see The Butthole Surfers, L7, Henry Rollins, & PFunk, then also play with one’s own band on the second stage, then trip in the grass while Jane’s Addiction plays in the starlight. Great times.

‘93 with Tool, Rage, Primus, AIC and Beavis & Butthead blotter. Great times indeed.
maybe like Mel Gibson said years agowhen he first went to Hollywood.wow the things i saw and found out basically Hollywood and Disney are full of pedos
Again, another bogus claim made to which there is zero proof that he ever said that. A spokesperson for Mel Gibson told Reuters via email that the claims are “100% fake”. The original claim only made reference to Hollywood, the addition of Disney is fairly new.
The junk news site that posted that article is well known as a source of fake news. Snopes has fact-checked them numerous times, and their claims are always proven to be either straight-up lies, gross manipulations of facts, or misstatements.

Just a week after it was reported that Hiroyuki Sanada would return for another Shōgun season, FX and Hulu announced they are developing two new seasons of the acclaimed drama.
In an announcement on Thursday, FX revealed that it would be teaming up with the estate of author James Clavell — who wrote the original Shōgun novel in 1975 — to extend the story into two additional seasons. Shogun Seasons 2 and 3 are both currently in development, and a writers room is being assembled. Woohoo!
An examination of many things including ethics & developmental psychology. Well done by Cliff Roberts as well as Claire Bloom from The Illustrated Man by Bradbury & original Clash Of The Titans.
This is one of the films my mom insisted I watch when she thought I was old enough to get the messages within. There are worse ways to parent a child.
The original, and superior IMO, Flowers for Algernon adaptation.
Aah fair enough, and it’s not semantics as it would have absolutely mattered if the people in the movie were telling him to surrender outright as opposed to a negociated peace treaty.
I have little doubt that there were Nazi sympathizers throughout the war that would have eagerly surrendered to Germany, but given that the British Union of Fascists and National Socialists was proscribed by the British government following the outbreak of war and disbanded soon after, it seems unlikely that there would be many willing to voice those opinions publicly.
Wasn’t there a big kerfuffle in 1940 about a bunch of Brits wanting to surrender?
Not a surrender as such, but a negotiated peace settlement. If Halifax had succeeded Chamberlain instead of Churchill, things very likely would have gone in that direction.
Season 2 has dropped. There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission.
I think it might be an anime series…..which I really don’t care for…..guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I don’t think so. There is an animation coming out this year. https://www.primewire.tf/tv/1376040-tomb-raider-the-legend-of-lara-croft
An interesting melding of the fantastical, dark aspects of American history, and conspiracy theory. My only complaint is the sexualization of the teen daughter. Unless some reason for it has been yet to be revealed, it seems to serve no purpose but to titillate and is kind of creepy and off-putting.
Shouldn’t the IMDb page reflect what is being watched?
I tried to find a specific page for it and couldn’t. I could create one, but that crap is a pain in the butt.
He certainly had his share of conflicting polarities. The ideas of hope are not original to him where suffering is concerned as that originates in Buddhism in a form that Fred simplified, but was later clarified by Hermeticsm where it is to elaborate that “perceive not difference among you, for thereby is the door to suffering”. Politically, this has also been turned a bit more to say that “false hope” is the greatest weapon of terrorism to use against a populace.
When we see films like that this however, the images of the subject are enough to remind us that suffering does not discriminate against whom it afflicts, and though hope can be wielded as a weapon against those who suffer, it can also nourish those whose suffering seems hopeless - yet is very cruel to dangle out of reach, as if it is within reach, in front of the suffering.
And there were those like Mother Teresa that tried to glorify suffering, like when asked why they didn’t give pain meds to those dying in her hospices despite millions being given to her charities. “Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow, suffering are but the kiss of Jesus - a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you.” Contradictorily, when she herself became ill, she availed herself of the best medical care money could buy.
“To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning. in the suffering. “ ~ Friedrich Nietzsche.
Nietzsche has to be taken with a grain of salt. He also said, “Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man.”
Fresh off the heels of success with Poor Things, Yorgos Lanthimos is back with Willem Dafoe, Emma Stone, and Margaret Qualley in a trio of stories where the actors help to provide a sense of continuity by playing different characters in the different stories. From what I’ve seen and read, this promises to provide many wtf moments.
Only people associated with the film must have rated this one. lol
It was quite literally what this entire conversation was about not in a bad way just saying how it was weird that they suddenly do it when there was no president set for it happen in the first place.
Orientation is about sexual identity, not ethnicity. Ethnicity is your cultural background or race. Given that they always kind of made it up as they went along and that early on it was established that regeneration heals the body and rejuvenates, but there are changes in appearance and personality. Given that, it seems like anything goes as long as the Doctor is still Gallifreyan and therefore humanoid in appearance. Unless I missed something, I don’t believe it was ever stated that all Gallifreyan are the same color or of the same sexual orientation.
Not for changing the characters ethnic orientation there isn’t.
How is ethnicity in any way relevant? Never mind. That’s my cue to disengage.
Your talking about Doctor Who fans we get upset every single time a new actor is cast as The Doctor lol.
Molly and no, it’s not that. It’s actually wonderful and horrific simultaneously. As a naturalist, the rescue was outstanding, the rest was abusive to the natural world.
Yeah that is something that is going to take some getting used especially as there really wasn’t a presendent set for it before now unlike a time lord becoming a female for example.
Actually, the reboot in 2005 set the precedent. Technically, this would be what, season 40?
True but you can blame them for making a move that makes alot of the UK fanbase who they should pleasing very angry.
With all that’s going on in the world, that seems a silly thing for people to get mad about.
Not when you take into account that the show is and always has been a British institution with the show itself being made and produced in the UK and when the show did air episodes worldwide at the same time they always put the UK audience first.
The show has a viewership of almost twice the population of the UK. Like it or not, it belongs to the world now. The BBC is British television, and they went into this deal knowing full well that this would happen. You can’t blame the player for how the game is played.
folks will adjust what they write in order to attract a buyer.. buyers will buy what they like.. so its safe to presume either way.. is there an anti-anti-disney movement ? .. lol thats a lot of ants being chucked around.. I thought the maestro was a well played character.. much better than the portrayal of the doctor.. I at least could watch the whole second episode..
Disney didn’t buy the show. BBC still owns it. Disney only has distribution rights. I can’t speak for anyone but myself, I’m not pro Disney, just anti-nonsense.
That depends on what your talking about as for example Disney putting huge amounts of money into the show is a good thing but changing it so that the Americans technically get it ahead of us British does seem like an odd move.
I’m only referring to content, distribution decisions are theirs to make and seeing as how they bought the streaming rights it does make sense they would release it on their own platform 1st.
Disney only bought the streaming rights. They have no creative control of the show. Russell Davies has complete creative control. Sony, the BBC, Bad Wolf Studios and Disney can offer input, but in the end Davies is the only one calling the shots. He has said before that he is a fan of Disney, in particular Pixar, and that he wanted to add more fantasy elements to the show. Anyone not liking it should blame Davies, not Disney, but for many that won’t fit into the anti-Disney narrative some are pushing now.
This is one of the most heart warming and wonderous “man and nature” stories I’ve ever seen. love otters. Will watch again.
For me, the wife was also a big part of what made this special. The way she supported his passion for Molly and even protected him from knowing he wasn’t Molly’s whole universe. In so many ways, this reminded me of a father-daughter relationship.
I hope this focuses on more than just the bloodthirsty aspect of his story. He was a brilliant, very well-educated man.

yeah, it has to be the full url from the address bar. can’t use the short urls.
My favorite piece of trivia related to this movie. The part of George Hanson had been written by Terry Southern for his friend Rip Torn, but an incident between Torn and Hopper at a New York restaurant where the principle players, Fonda, Hopper and Southern, had gathered with Torn to discuss his role. At some point, Hopper had gone on a rant about “rednecks” he had encountered on his scouting trip to the south and Southern, having been born in Texas, was offended. Hopper and Torn almost came to blows and the result was that Torn withdrew from the project and the role was offered to Jack Nicholson, his first major movie role.
In 1994 Hopper was on The Tonight Show and told Leno that Torn had pulled a knife on him during the altercation, which resulted in Torn suing for defamation. Torn won the case, during which eyewitnesses stated that Hopper was the one with a knife. Peter Fonda recalled the two going at each other with a butter knife and a salad fork.

probably a regional thing. that video is popping up as video unavailable for me and that’s definitely a regional issue.
I cant add the link here because it is not a approved host site, but you can find this movie on Youtube in very high uality.
I don’t do many feel goods, but I’m a sucker for animals.
Edit: that was freakin’ adorable.
The air date is wrong it’s may 98, 2024 now and I already seen this show months ago
The air date shown here is when it is set to debut on AMC. Prior to that, the first season was released in its entirety in Australia on Stan November 3, 2023. No clue where you got May 1998 from.
4 grossed a billion at the box office and was well received by fans and critics alike. Why wouldn’t they make another one?
The 1st time I recall seeing Goldie Hawn and my 14 yo self was instantly smitten. While it amused me then, I was 14, it doesn’t really hold up well. Sometimes it’s better to cherish our memories, but leave them in the past and not revisit them.
That’s right, Katt. The opposite of woke is asleep. They ain’t gonna make it a bad thing. The things some think are insults, many wear as a badge of honor. Bleeding heart liberal, social justice warrior. These aren’t bad things. If you think they are, I invite you to research the origins of these terms and the particulars of how they were twisted to be used as insults.
This and the Valley of the Drums in Kentucky were the toxic waste site disasters that led to the Superfund Bill. Remember these when corporate tools, that claim to be public servants, whine on behalf of their masters that there are too many regulations on how companies conduct their businesses. Those regulations are needed to protect us from their greed.
