DaniBl's comments

Invasion (2021)
DaniBl 2 points 7 months ago.

This had so much potential but it’s probably the most boring and least imaginative sci-fi show I have ever watched. If you don’t have the budget to create alien creatures, don’t bother making this kind of a show. Half of the season we couldn’t even see these aliens, and when we finally could they look like something a 5 year old drew. Don’t even get me started on totally irrelevant, boring personal dramas. If I want drama I won’t look for it in “sci-fi” TV shows!

Madame Web (2024)

So, any comments from women about this film? Or is it just “men” hating on a film with all female cast?

Mare of Easttown (2021) S1 E5
DaniBl 2 points 3 years ago.

Damn… That was a good episode.

Trigger Point (2022)
DaniBl 2 points 2 years ago.

Great first episode. Not sure why it doesn’t have better rating on here. Kind of reminds me of Hurt Locker.

Luther (2010)
DaniBl 2 points 2 years ago.

Just finished rewatching all 5 seasons. What a brilliant TV series. Can’t wait for a movie.

Cheaters (2022)
DaniBl 2 points 2 years ago.

This is actually pretty good…if you ignore the fact that episodes are under 10 minutes

Den osannolika mördaren (2021)
DaniBl 2 points 2 years ago.

All the links seem to be for the dubbed version, which imo sucks…

Trying (2020)
DaniBl 2 points 4 years ago.

Not sure why this TV series has such a low rating. It’s really good. Lots of funny moments and just the right amount of drama. Brits (almost) always make really good TV series.

Dark (2017)
RoboPhone 4 points 4 years ago.

Returning Soon! Season 3 of this mind-tripping thriller begins on Saturday, June 27th!

DaniBl 2 points 3 years ago.

Hopefully they upload episodes with subtitles. I can’t stand watching dubbed versions. It just seems ridiculous to watch that way.

The Challenge (1998) S39 E14
DaniBl 2 points 3 months ago.

Jay and Michelle are annoying af. Neither has what it takes to be a champ, but thanks to all that scheeming they’ve managed to stay as long as they have.

Ukraine on Fire (2016)
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

More people should watch this docu before commenting on the war in Ukraine right now…

Strays (2023)
DaniBl 1 points 8 months ago.

LOL this was actually pretty funny and no, it’s not a film you should watch with your kids.

Allen v. Farrow (2021)
duuuuuuuuuude 3 points 3 years ago.

Two separate investigations said he didn’t abuse her.

It’s really strange that you chose to defend an abusive mentally ill woman who not only married a man 30 years older than her, and not only got pregnant by a married man before she stole him away from his wife, but also adopted 15 children. Let that sink in… 15 children. What kind of person adopts 15 children… and then abuses them?

DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

So Angelina Jolie is a monster for adopting as many kids as she has? WTF…since when is wanting to adopt kids who have no home or any kind of future a bad thing? And, no, being with married men can in no way, shape or form compare to being a pedophile!

Sirens (2011)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Comedy gold. I wish there was a season 2, 3, 4…

Vera (2011)
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

I love this series. Brenda Blethyn is such a great actress BUT I really wish they made it a bit more interesting. Would like to see her come face to face with a serial killer for example.

Call Me Kat (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Well, considering Miranda was hilarious and very few shows, if any, could compare to it, it’s no surprise this was a bit of a let down. Especially when it comes to the part of her mum…that woman is so full of botox her face is motionless. Miranda’s mum was just as funny as Miranda.

This is Going to Hurt (2022) S1 E1
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

Great first episode!Ben Wishaw delivers (pun intended) as always.

It's a Sin (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Such a beautiful and sad tv series. Keeley Hawes should get a BAFTA for that scene in the hospital (last episode). They were all great obviously, and she’s not even a main character but that scene was just powerful.

This is Going to Hurt (2022)
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

Love, love, love it! Great series, great cast. Brilliant!

Kevin Can F**k Himself (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I get what they are going for, but nothing really happened in episode 1. If that’s what it will be like in all the other episodes then it’s just going to be boring. They needed a major cliffhanger at the end of first episode to draw people in…that didn’t happen.

Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

If there ever was a person that I thought could be Satan himself or something like that evil creature from Steven King’s “The Outsider”, it’s him. What a fucked up individual. Evil to the bone.

Sugar (2024)
DaniBl 1 points 1 month ago.

So far, really good. It’s been a while since I was excited about a TV show.

Cheaters (2022)
alicefell 2 points 2 years ago.

Thanks for the recommendation! I love small British comedies like “Love, Nina” (which Josh McGuire is also in!). They’re like reading short stories which when good, are to the point, tense and convey lots of information successfully in short format. I watched the 1st eppy and loved it! Again, thank you!

DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

You’re welcome. I hope they upload the rest of it soon. I really like it, but yeah, wish the episodes were longer. Thanks for the reminding me of “Love, Nina” series. I think I watched an episode or two and then just forgot about it somehow.

Well done, Harry!

The Drowning (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

LOL this had so much potential and then it sank (no pun intended) so bad. Idk what the hell were they thinking when they wrote some of this shit.

Daniel Sloss: X (TV Special 2019) (2019)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Love him. What a great special and the last 20 minutes or so…genius.

Stag (2016)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Great British mini series. Rewatching it.

Historia de un crimen: La Búsqueda (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

I’m watching the first episode, and while it seems interesting so far I have to say the music/soundtrack is totally ruining it. The series is about a little girl who went missing, but the music is like something you’d hear in one of those shitty teen Mexican soap operas…perfect example of how much the music can change the mood of a whole movie/TV series.

Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle (2018)
EchotaChick 2 points 3 years ago.

There are 4 episodes combined into just these 2. Hope it’s good! :)

DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Yeah, but the second episode, that’s supposed to be the 3rd and 4th episode, is actually just the 2nd episode that’s already in the part 1. There’s only one link, so not much to choose from. What I’ve seen so far it’s pretty good.

Life (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Brits really do make the best TV drama. It’s so well done and the acting is top notch. 9/10

Mr. Mayor (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

This is actually pretty good. Looking forward to more episodes.

Make Me Famous (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

This is pretty good. If you ever watched Love Island and those kind of reality TV shows, you should watch this.

First Man (2018)
GeminiSaga 2 points 5 months ago.

I watched this a couple of time, it’s excellent. One of Christopher Nolan’s favorites.

DaniBl 1 points 5 months ago.

Christopher Nolan?

Tenet (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

Finally a watchable version! The film is confusing af though. I’ll have to watch it a few more times at least just to get all the facts.

Hijack (2023)
DaniBl 1 points 9 months ago.

Excellent TV series. 9/10

Gangs of London (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 8 months ago.

I’m not a big fan of ganster films/series, so it took me a while to watch this, but man…this is remarkable. All the chaos and violence is almost artistic. I hope season 2 is as good as season 1, because it’s one of the best series I’ve watched in years.

Hunted (2022)
DaniBl 1 points 9 months ago.

I like this show, but realistically speaking it’s a total set up. I mean, who wouldn’t notice two people with go pro cams on them, with a person running behind them with a camera? And even with all that they hardly catch them…in real world, it would take months and tons of luck for these “hunters” to catch anyone.

Chaos Walking (2021)
DaniBl 1 points 2 years ago.

I actually liked it. Hope there’s a sequel.

Flipped (2020)
DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

This is pretty good. Not sure why they made it so short though.

The Challenge (1998) S39 E5
DaniBl 1 points 6 months ago.

Man, I love Jordan. He is my all time champion.

Gangs of London (2020) S2 E1
DaniBl 1 points 8 months ago.

Season 1 was great, but season 2 had a very weak first episode. The character of Luan is so unrealistic. The guy looks like a total wimp but he’s somehow able to singlehandedly kill dozens of people at once. FFS

Awake (2021)

Overall, not bad…the ending was meh though.

Great acting and should be watched for that alone.

Sophie: A Murder in West Cork (2021)

Shocking that despite so much evidence, all his confessions etc. he is still not arrested and charged with murder. I’m certain he’s the killer.

Ah, this was good. Touching, yet funny.

Make Me Famous (2020)
UGuess 1 points 3 years ago.

Thanks..I was looking for my love island fix literally yesterday. I’ll check it out

DaniBl 1 points 3 years ago.

You’re welcome, but it’s probably not what you expected. It deals with the aftermath of reality TV fame.
