FWIW, Sutherland still does it for me…I think it’s the gravelly voice.

People seriously need to stop comparing this to the original. Yes, this show is based on the Chuck Norris one, but it doesn’t mean it has to be an exact duplicate. Yes, the original had more action, but that is a given when you cast a 7 time world karate champion. Lets be real though, the story was mediocre at best and Chuck’s acting was abysmal. Where the original used Chuck’s fighting status to drive the show, this one is using Jareds superior acting in the same way. This shows vocal point is the importance of family. Plus, its only 2 episodes in and I care more about these characters than any from the original. On that note I’m sure the action will build up as the show goes on with relevance to the story, unlike the original that shoved action down your throat hoping it would cover the poor acting.

I found it not very believeable, and kinda far fetched, but will watch it for the time being, only because I enjoy disaster series/movies, etc……..Natalie Zea, best known for DETOUR, and JUSTIFIED, has been in alot of other series, and is not bad in this…her son, in this, though, was not a very good actor…Others were not all that bad, I think he was the worst..!!!

Then go watch that show. The existence of this one doesn’t prevent that last I checked. You see it as lame because they have an actor who can flesh out the character more rather than throwing kicks every couple of minutes. Also, based on your barmaid statement I can tell you aren’t someone who likes a strong story. Perhaps go and binge some Steven Seagal flicks.

It is not a real book, but the woman detective told her that the woman in the book, she
thought she saw a murder, too…so, the book was fabricated, to mirror this series, for fun, I guess…
