The people just saying that this is a great movie definitely threw all logic out the window regarding the time travel. Anyone ever heard of the butterfly effect and how things should be changing in future everytime they head back to past? Also, why not use the technology to ready people in the past to prevent invasion instead of recruiting them to potentially die in the future which would cause a huge ripple and more deaths ultimately? A lot of cool action scenes with a bit of comedy, but this was full of plot holes.

Its even worse than that. Every single person they pull from the past exponentially decreases the population in the future. Pulling people from the past is probably the reason they have a troops shortage to begin with. Its the most idiotic plan I have ever heard. If the troops shortage was really the primary issue they should have sent people from the future to impregnate people in the past thereby increasing the future population or just sent couples back in time to have families and raise more children that would be fighting age by the time the war broke out.
I just start to watch the first season! So after the first episode, it seems that it is a remake of the French series “Les revenants” (The returned). Hope it is not just another copy/paste!!
Its definitely NOT. Keep watching. There are plenty of other shows which are based on that series though. The Returned, Resurrection, and Glitch being just a few examples.
Just finished season one…OMG they better not cancel this show!! Anyone saying run of the mill lawyer show better watch the whole season!! Amazing how you feel like you are part of the team fighting the crap of the world!!
Sorry but they already have canceled this show. it was announced a few weeks ago.
Not true, Jordan discovered his powers after moving to Smallville and it was Lois who quit the Daily Planet. I’m guessing Clark followed her lead and is doing his own thing for money. Jordan just was having problems with anxiety and being picked on by peers which helped decision to move along with Martha dying.
1) I never said they moved to Smallville because Jordan developed powers. I said they ‘stayed” in Smallville because of that. They went to Smallville because Clark’s mom died and they needed to figure out what to do with the farm. 2) Yes Lois quit the Daily Planet and then got a job at the local paper in Smallville, but Clark had been fired before they left Metropolis. 3) Ya Jordan having anxiety and being picked on might have contributed but the major reason was his new powers.
He doesn’t have any paid employment right now, Lois does. They came back to Smallville after Clark had been fired from the Daily Planet and his mom had passed away. They stayed because one of the kids, Jordan, was developing powers and this would be a better place to raise him.
I don’t understand all the negative reviews, I thought it was great!
you should check out https://www.primewire.ag/movie/1339721-watch-peninsula its the sequel to Train to Busan. Its a much better film than this one.
Peninsula train to Busan 2 is a better zombie heist movie I only liked the french woman and the German man
I agree. I really liked that movie. This was pretty meh. They definitely went overboard with the Alpha Zombies. Fine, they can think and plan but we didn’t need a pregnant Zombie Queen, nor the father to rip the dead Zombie fetus out of the mother. Also how is the fetus dead? They are literally the undead, even the Zombie Queen wasn’t dead after being decapitated.
After this episode, I can say that I’m starting to like this show. Although I still think that PC Vickers is too soft to be a cop. I enjoy how diverse the characters are. I wish there more than one season though.
Absolutely, he definitely needs to grow a spine or seek other employment, maybe a medic. He practically sprinted to save that home intruder’s life but he’s like a freaking statue when his partner is getting overwhelmed by some thugs, and its not the first time either.
This episode seems a little outdated. The UK passed the Crime and Courts act 2 years prior to this production. That requires the response to home intruders to be grossly disproportionate in order to be convicted of a crime, like stabbing an unconscious intruder to death. An old woman shooting an intruder entering her room is not grossly disproportionate and I highly doubt the prosecutors would even pursue charges against the woman. Even arresting her and putting her in a solitary cell for a few hours is excessive.
wow! Didn’t see that one coming. Lots of twists and turns in this murder mystery. Worth checking out.
I think this was better than series 3. A bit dark at the end. Look forward to any new series that may come up in the future.
Each series has at least one really dark storyline. Whether is the robbery and nearly killing the boss, the wife holding the husband hostage in the basement, the daughter they thought was dead or just missing, etc. Some of the real life lottery stories can be hella dark too.
Not sure to say yes or no to this one. Maybe because I was expecting something else from it, on the lines of I Spit on Your Grave. It was therefore just ok for me, yet she was far too old to play the role she was. Easily in her 40s, defo not early 30s….V
So at first this show seemed like a Victorian Era rip off of the X-Men. But now with this reveal about the future it is definitely a rip off of the 4400. WB who owns HBO Max is actually rebooting the 4400 on the CW. Now it will look like they are ripping off the Nevers with how similar the two shows are, smh.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing this for some time now but I got to say, I’m in on episode 3 and I am not impressed at all. They definitely picked all the wrong actors for this series, a lot of them just didn’t fit into their character, and seemed really unbelievable.. should have gone a different route with some of the actors.. This show could have been so good and had so much potential but it just really seems to lack anything. I usually love movies and shows like this, but I got to say.. this one sucks. Sorry to all you haters out there that are just going to hate on me saying this but, I really don’t like this show so far… It’s just so boring…
This Show SOOOO deserves a reboot
This one and Babylon 5. Great 90’s Sci-Fi. I really don’t understand them trying to reboot Battlestar Galactica again. They already rebooted it recently and did a spin-off of the reboot, smh.
Yes, I am thinking the same. Way too early to give away the actual culprit so obviously. Then again, that’s what I thought all along “The Undoing” and in the end it WAS the obvious suspect from the get go. Major disappointment
Coincidently the “The Undoing” was based on the book “You Should Have Known” by Jean Hanff Korelitz. Seems like it was supposed to be that obvious all along, it usually isn’t in these types of series though.
Great cast, poor script. Entirely too predictable and full of cliches. If this wasn’t an HBO show I highly doubt the cast would have even signed up for this.
Some people liked it, some didn’t, when I say there was a lot of potential lost, that is not to say I didn’t like it,or think it sucked, just that so much more could have been done. Esp. with the girl, won’t say more here in case people reading have not seen it. Jackman did an awesome job as always!
You can always just hit the “Contains Spoilers” check box before submitting the comment if you are concerned about spoiling something.
It wasn’t a bad movie, it’s just that they already did it.Something that seems to be a reoccurring thing with fox. Both their spideys were the same, starting back with uncle Ben and the spider bite, ya we know that.Another dumbass team of writers and producers that think they can do better then the first one, which was a epic fail! It wasn’t until disney got spidey until they broke out of that. They really don’t have any sense of continuity cause this is an entirely different universe from their first movies.Telling the same story’s over and over, just differently every time just doesn’t work.Fox and Warner Brothers should sell the rights to all live action DC and marvel to disney. I know what you are thinking, them owning everything is a monopoly, but at least they will make some great movies, certainly can’t say that about the guys who have them now.
Sony owns Spiderman, not Fox. They were the ones that kept rebooting Spiderman. Also when your comment was written Fox had already sold most of their movie and tv rights to Disney, including all the X-Men and Fantastic Four rights. So you already got most of what you wanted.
What Earth really needs is a portal generator to send over powering threat to something like the Phantom Zone. They clearly have nobody that can truly stand up to Omni-Man and his people. Best course of action is to send them somewhere where its incredibly difficult and time consuming to make it back to Earth.
Last air bender type show
I was surprised they didn’t have any water benders or earth benders, tbh. I guess the blood benders and healers are a decent replacement ;-)
worth watching but the girl is no brave she’s just stupid if she didn’t get lucky with her gift all her friends would be dead because of her
Ya I thought she was hella stupid at times and didn’t accept reality when it was right in front of her.
If you like this show you would probably enjoy “The 4400”. They are pretty similar, minus the whole period piece aspect of this show.
Wanted to like it but it requires way too much suspension of disbelief. The Lawyer is a moron.
Great writing, but man its hard watching such depravity on full display by the criminals involved and such incompetence from the police force trying to solve the crimes going on.
Yes, and now Warner has HBO Max. They keep Titans for HBO Max and send Stargirl to The CW, so we know what their priorities are anyway.
Because Stargirl was always going to be on CW. Titans was created for the DC streaming app before HBOMax existed, so when they decided to scrap the DC streaming service they moved Titans over to HBOMax, their main streaming app. Its not rocket science, smh.
Take a hard, long look at The CW, the ratings of it’s series and what it’s ad rev must be. That’s where the budget comes from, for everything, cast, crew, writing, effects, etc…
It was a mistake for DC to get into bed with such an underperforming platform. But, a decade ago, before Arrow, they probably didn’t have any other options.
FYI- CW stands for CBS-WB. Ya that same WB that owns DC,smh. Of course they were going to put DC show on the CW, they own half of it.
I really wanted to like this and there are many good moments to point out but the story dragged most of the time. Takes itself too seriously as a horror comedy and doesn’t even show the infected most of the time. It’s mostly a drama about holding up at facility during zombie apocalypse. It’s a theme that’s been done to death literally and figuratively and not well here. In my opinion it’s worth the watch if you can deal with slow build, but very convoluted at end. Confusing review but guess I liked the kills and fun teen stuff a little too much with appreciating the well done work on film.
This show is great for twists and turns but this season was just ridiculous. So many completely unbelievable scenarios. 1) Flemming not getting the promotion when she does the undercover work, which is known to carry an order of magnitude more risk than just investigating the officers 2) Tim being the whistleblower so bent on preventing a miscarriage of justice believes that he accidently killed his superior officer, Roz, and tries to cover up her death 3) Roz waking up and going back to work the next day even though she had a head wound that resulted in a puddle of blood on Tim’s floor 4) Tim’s murder investigated by the team that he blew the whistle on 5) Tim having had a sexual relationship with one of the victims from the case in which he was whistleblowing on 6) A guy that looks like the masked killer showing up at Roz’s husbands office and tossing the officer, who was coming to question the husband, down 3 fleets of stairs and he survives 7) Roz arresting her husband to then be arrested herself and use the same criminal attorney as her husband even though he was still representing her husband. While the husband’s main defense is that his wife was setting him up. This takes suspension of disbelief to a whole new level. There’s just no way I could ever see any of this ever happening in real life nor being allowed to happen by any professionals.
Horrible US version of a good Aussie series. The biggest issues being the casting and directing.
DCEU’s Thor: The Dark World. Hopefully, the 3rd movie will redeem the franchise.
zzzzZZZZZzzzzz boring! This makes the last season of Under the Dome look like a masterpiece.
My Cousin Vinney not the Wrestler and well That alone blows your theory away.
Sorry but my argument is still just as accurate even with that oversight because My Cousin Vinny has an 86% Critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Even though my remark about the winning the Oscar for the Wrestler was incorrect, she was Oscar nominated for the Wrestler, which supports my original thesis as well. So on both points you were wrong. Just accept it and move on, you’ll have a happier life or maybe you need to just go get a life :-p
That title is so similar to what lies beneath I almost thought it was a remake for a second
i feel the same way. Katheryn Winnick is the only reason to watch this…although she’s on on a couple moments per episode. seems she’s just receiving a paycheck and the producers/writers are using her name to attract more watchers. pretty sad really, she’s better than this.
This is the first network show she has been a regular on. It should give her more exposure to a broader audience than just the fans of Vikings and Wu Assassins. Its a strategic move, more than just a paycheck play.
Paltrow won an oscar as did Tomei. So much for critics
Paltrow won the oscar for the movie Shakespeare in Love, which has a 92% Critic Rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Tomei won the oscar for the my Cousin Vinny, which has a 86% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. So your comment actually supports my position and shows the benefit of critic reception in Oscar consideration rather than disproving it.
Thanks, but I knew it was. I was hoping that someone else would just pick it up. Nowadays people are not coming up new ideas anymore just recycling old stuff anyways. And how this ended it can has the potential for a 2nd season.
funny that you mention that because this show is actually the 2nd remake of the original show. I preferred the New Zealand remake that came out a few years ago.
he lied because the truth would have affected his illusion of empathy, Sociopaths learn to mimic these thinghs early in life to fit it.
If he was a sociopath he would have just lied about feeling guilt and accused the estranged mother of lying. Lying about the entire event displays a true sense of guilt and pain. Sociopaths don’t cut people off like that either, that’s an emotional response. Becoming a pediatric oncologist also demonstrates a desire for redemption.
That was amazing.. wasn’t what I was expecting at all. My girlfriend cried like 3 times. Amazon did a good thing.
Amazon only bought the movie. Paramount made it and sold it to Amazon.
