Gangs of London (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 4 years ago.

Can’t believe there hasn’t been any fanfare around this series release.
Just watched the 1st episode and it certainly seems to be a big winner.

Into the Night (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

1st episode was awesome. Seems like this would make more sense as a movie than a tv show, but I’m with it.

Simon Sez (1999)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

This is definitely more entertaining than a 2.5 imdb rating would lead you to believe. If you enjoyed the 80s/90s Steven Seagal / Jean Cleade type movies then you would enjoy this, at least somewhat.

Siren (2018)
onitsunami 5 points 4 years ago.

I was wondering the same thing and looked it up. Toque: A toque is a type of hat with a narrow brim or no brim at all. Toques were popular from the 13th to the 16th century in Europe, especially France. The mode was revived in the 1930s. Now it is primarily known as the traditional headgear for professional cooks, except in Canada where the term is primarily used for knit caps.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Okay. So why would a mermaid not wear a toque…or rather…why would anyone be wearing a toque in this day & age if NOT a meraid?

Spectral (2016)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

A bit overrated I thought.
TBH…it was really rather stupid. 1 time watch for me :o

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Oh, and the synopsis has aboslutley 0.0% to do with the actual movie.
Literally nothing at all.

Spectral (2016)

TBH…it was really rather stupid. 1 time watch for me :o

Siren (2018)
Alien 7 points 4 years ago*.

How do you know mermaids don’t wear toques? How many Canadian mermaids have you run into? Or rather, swum into?

JennyFromBlockD 4 points 4 years ago.

More importantly, what the hell is a toque.

The Vatican Tapes (2015)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 4 years ago.

Underrated. Definitely one of the better found footage movies.

The Silence (2019)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I found it much more entertaining than the quiet place. I’m baffled why it was critically panned. It was great.

In the Tall Grass (2019)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Well this was incredibly interesting & totally out of left field.
I loved it. Like some sort of crazy mix between the movies Annihilation & The Triangle. Very trippy & very well done.

War of the Worlds (1988)
Alien 5 points 4 years ago.

I see now episodes 1 and 2 are combined. I appreciate you finding ep 3 even though it says ep 2. Thank you, Mr/Miss Linker.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Heyua Alien or Nogard; have either of you watched the new War of the World series that recently came out? Haven’t heard a peep good or bad about it; if you have seen it, is it worth checking out?

Mutant Chronicles (2008)
JennyFromBlockD 3 points 4 years ago.

Very enjoyable for a movie most haven’t heard of.

The Ewok Adventure (1984)
kavik75 3 points 4 years ago.

love this movie and battle for endor. own both on dvd

JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

So do I. Two of my favorite movies ever as a kid.
A few years back when I heard how much ‘everyone’ hated these movies & how critically panned they were I was totally surprised.

I thought they were absolutely amazing. A wonderful spin off of the star wars universe & imho 10000x better than the new trilogy.

Apocalypto (2006)
Another Gantz (2011)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

FYI To all: I recommend watching this first: https://www.primewire.li/movie/734184-watch-gantz

This is just a ‘retelling’ of that. https://www.primewire.li/movie/734187-watch-gantz-perfect-answer is the sequel. Both are worth the watch, as the premise is rather unique & crazy if you havent seen the anime.

Side note: https://www.primewire.li/movie/1278256-watch-gantz-o is animated but its done in the style of stuff like Beowulf / FF7 Advent Children (looks real) & is really well done.

Axcellerator (2020)
Grams -2 points 4 years ago.

This has excitement and adventure. I loved it.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

skipped this the other day; due to no comments & figured the IMDB ratings had a high chance of being overblown due to the old ‘friends of the cast’ ratings before a movie ever comes out.
I’ll risk it now that you say this :)

Centurion (2010)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Well done with a lot of recognizable faces.
Some of the cuts were a bit jarring; all of a sudden from one place to another; but other than that it was very enjoyable.
7/10

Ironclad (2011)
Toadie 2 points 4 years ago.

An excellent movie. Purefoy does a convincing job of being a Templar. This movie makes it into my top 3 for the genre.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

What genre? Sword movies? Middle Ages Movies? Templare Movies? :o so many questions. And what are the other two :o

Cobra Verde (1987)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Anyone seen this?
Just randomly came across it when looking up sword movies ‘greatest sword movies’
late 80s are my favorite movies; but never even heard of this one. Lemme know if anyone has seen it, watcha think

The Veil (2016)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Underrated.
Thomas Jane as the cult leader was stellar.
Solid 7/10

Fallen (1998)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Great movie; rather unique premise. 9/10 stars

Fargo (2014)
bevnick 1 points 4 years ago.

A new season coming in April, Woo Hoo!

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

Got delayed because of corona :(

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness (2020) S1 E2
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

This is incredibly interesting; but I’m rather liking the crazy tiger king. Didn’t expect that.

Gretel & Hansel (2020)
glostarz999 -3 points 4 years ago.

Watch the South Korean spin on Hansel and Gretel instead. It’s way better then this lukewarm turd of a movie and it is available on this site right now. Go on. You know you want to.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

I enjoyed it. I’m a anime fan though; so can’t say if everyone would.
The violence was certainly on point.
If your looking for ‘plot’ you could very easily compare it to the 1990s MK movie; as the plotline was VERY similar, it just took a few different twists & turns. (No that is NOT a spoiler)

Hotel Artemis (2018)
JennyFromBlockD 4 points 4 years ago.

Quite a good hidden gem.
Rather felt like it took place in a world very similar to John Wick.

Bacurau (2020)
1raheem 1 points 4 years ago.

wow what a hidden gem !!!!!!

JennyFromBlockD -3 points 4 years ago.

Can you please tell me something about it? The synopsis & fact that it has like 8 genres ranging from western to sci-fi has me a bit confused on what it even is.

Explorers (1985)
Alien -3 points 4 years ago.

Judging by the description and the rating and the two young rising stars there’s a good chance it will be VERY good.

JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Good call, can’t believe I didn’t even notice River Phoenix in there

Æon Flux (2005)
Alien -1 points 4 years ago.

What does VG mean? Very Good? Because it was.

JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

video game

Æon Flux (2005)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

IDC What anyone says; I think this is one of the most underrated movies of all time. The plot line was incredibly interesting, the action was absolutely top notch for its time (and even holds up today), and the gadgets..oh the gadgets & tech; it is what is missing in todays films! These ‘ideas’ of things we might have in the future; and this film had boatloads!
I never played the video game; so can’t base any of my judgement off of that comparison. I think it was thoroughly trashed only DUE to it being a VG movie though; anywho, this is a solid 9/10 from me.

Explorers (1985)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

I missed this one; and now see it has Ethan Hawke in it as a kid.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this one, if its good or no?

Jacob Fights Giants (2013)
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

Been searching for links for this for a while

Undead (2003)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Certainly a “B” Zombie movie; that being said, I absolutely loved it.
The zombies were a bit on the goofy side; but the acting & the plot line & the comedy were great for a B Movie…or tbh great for a Zombie movie in general

Altered (2007)
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

I thought this was pretty darn good for what it was.
A few somewhat recognizable faces.
The creature looked awesome.

Splice (2010)
JennyFromBlockD -4 points 4 years ago.

It was interesting…until it became utterly disgusting. I have no idea why they would go that route. 0/10

The Magicians (2015) S5 E13
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

Sad to see it end but every season was pure perfection. Probably favorite show of all time. 10/10 s

Future Man (2017)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

Freakin fantastic third and final season. WAyyyyy better than the second season; and almost as good as the 1st. 10/10

Future Man (2017)
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

WHAT! SEASON 3 OF FUTURE MAN!??!?!?!?!?
Life just became 100x better with the Series Finale of Magicians on last Wednesday I was a bit lost on what to do.

Hurray!

This show is utterly hilarious. If you haven’t seen it, you absolutely MUST watch it.

Humanitarian: The Real Michael Jackson (2019)
JennyFromBlockD -3 points 4 years ago.

I met Michael Jackson when I was young. My dad owned a Antique Store and he came by, we closed the mall down; and let him go exploring.
My little brother and him walked around hand in hand singing songs; mostly sunday school stuff, my lil bro & Michael hopping around singing STOMP ON THE DEVIL! What a wonderful memory that is (got pictures too :)
I’ll never believe the terrible things they said about Michael. He always seemed to be just a child in a man’s body.

Rick and Morty (2013)
BrentW7 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Lol Jenny your profile name is practically an American Dad reference. There’s a whole episode called Jenny Fromdabloc where Roger plays a teenage girl (of that name) who bangs a 14 year old boy named Snot.
Ridiculously hilarious. AD is def the best Seth MacFarlane show by far.

JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

.. :o
Never seen that but that episode is a reference to the same thing my name is… J-Lo’s Jenny From the Block :l=

Mindhunters (2004)
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Fun ‘who-dun-it’ that was definitely worth the watch

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1967) S1 E1
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

Id love to watch this again

Rick and Morty (2013)
[deleted]
JennyFromBlockD -4 points 4 years ago.

I agreed until you mentioned American Dad, which I also think sucks & is overrated lol.

Rick and Morty (2013)
JennyFromBlockD -10 points 4 years ago.

To be perfectly honest, I don’t get what all the hubbub is about.
I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes & it was good, and I laughed several times…but it wasn’t anything AMAZING. Like a poor man’s futurama; and to be perfectly frank the old guy’s constant throw up & belching was just gross & off putting. Not funny…just an assault to the eyes.
To each their own; but I found this to be heavily overrated.

Family Guy, Futurama, South Park, and Simpsons do animated comedy 1000000x better & in a more enjoyable fashion TO ME.

Dorohedoro (2020) S1 E11
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

Another great one. I Really, really hope they do a season 2

The Domestics (2018)
killer995 -3 points 4 years ago.

Im with you on this one. It is a movie that gets the adventure/action mix right.

JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

FYI for a similar ‘mad maxish’ sort of feel check out Rover

I Am Mother (2019)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 4 years ago.

I put this off for a while, as it just didn’t sound that interesting.
However, I found it to be 10x better than I expected; and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Side note, I’m surprised Hillary Swank isn’t credited on this page…especially since she’s in the cover art.
9/10 stars

Return to House on Haunted Hill (2007)
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

LOL!
Did these fools just open fire on giant gears to stop it & it worked?! LOL!
Maybe shove one of your guns in there, but wth are some bullets gonna do to gigantic metal gears roflmao

Downhill (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

This is underrated. It was actually pretty darn good.
However, it is NOT a comedy. This is not your typical Will Ferrell movie.
It’s a rather serious take on a near death experience & the effects it can have on relationships. ( THAT IS NOT A SPOILER! THE SYNOPSIS ABOVE SAYS THE SAME THING IN OTHER WORDS )

The Haunting (1999)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

Underrated on IMDB. Solid 7 movie with a great cast (Catherine Zeta Jones / Liam Neeson / Owen Wilson & Others)
Not sure what they expected from a ‘cheap scare’ sort of movie, but I digress. I enjoyed it; you probably will too if you haven’t seen it.
