cast looks dope, imma give it a try

I’m a massive Harlan Coben fan and have read all of his books. I’m a bit worried about watching the TV/film versions as they most often than not don’t turn out as good as the books. I’m afraid I’ll be disappointed :(
Would really like to hear from a fellow fan of his books if this lives up to the paperback?
Looking forward to Season 2!
It’s been a really good start to the series and I can’t wait for the next season :)
Any comments? Is this worth watching? Not that keen on Aussie series….
Just because his condition makes him awkward in social situations doesn’t mean this is unbelievable. He gets the job done almost like a robot (without emotion) but he has the capacity to learn. Being unable to express himself doesn’t take away from the fact that he is super smart. I think it’s a welcome change from the usual depressing and boring hospital dramas that are so predictable.
Freddie Highmore does am amazing job! I’ve only just seen the first two episodes but already I can’t wait to watch and see what happens next.
The links are all mixed up - but you don’t know that until it’s too late :(
Just watched the very last episode when I was only half way through Season 7 so that’s really p* me off and ruined the series for me completely! No point watching the rest now… And God knows how many episodes were missed and watched out of sequence due to these mixed up links????
Not sure if you’ve already seen it, but The Unicorn is a good sitcom. Well, the first few seasons anyway and after that you just want to see what the characters get up to :)
This show is hilarious! I almost did not watch it because of the comments, which are usually a good indicator whether a show is good or not, but this time they missed the mark with their opinions. Funny, quirky, and well written. I honestly do not understand the hate which this show seems to generate here, Ignore them. Heck, ignore me. I give it a solid 9 out of 10. But you watch it, give it a try and see for yourself.
I’ve learned the hard way (on here) NOT to pay any attention to comments and just watch the shows or movies myself and then decide.
As a Brit who has watched Miranda (not by choice) I think they shouldn’t have used her show format at all. If they had just put together a ‘normal’ comedy about a cat loving single 30 something it would’ve been a lot better.
The parts of the show I didn’t like were the bits taken from Miranda - bursting into song for no reason; the silly waving from all the cast at the end, for example.
But putting all the Miranda stuff aside, this was a much better show. I liked it and enjoyed watching. It’s a feel good show and the cats are adorable! Unlike Miranda, the characters are also likeable and relatable and the storyline is much better too.
I think Mayim got better in the role as the episodes went on and I think she did a good job. She should make it her own and not try to be another version of Miranda - that would no doubt improve the show.
Production should also stay away from the episodic storylines regurgitated from Miranda and just come up with their own fresh ideas.
Anyone sitting on the fence should give this show a chance. It’s worth watching to get to know the characters and see where they go - which is what makes a good show in the first place. Looking forward to season 2!
Oh my God!!! I don’t know whose bright idea this was but this is just terrible! Bialik is not funny in this at all. I feel so bad for Miranda Hart. This show was ripped from her Brit sitcom “Miranda” and, unfortunately, she let them. She also happens to be one of the producers and she should have known better. The whole format, from fourth wall asides to the cast bows at the end is a dreadful, dreadful, dreadful copy. Please view the original series.
Miranda just does the same thing every episode. It’s like watching a bad case of deja vu! She’s not funny and only got her own show because Daddy works for the BBC :(
I see where you’re coming from , I guess I just wanted him to be tougher
we’ll have to agree to disagree, I never found woodward to be believeable as a tough guy although I did enjoy the original series . Denzel was far more beliveable and the action scenes brilliant , yes it wasnt a true remake more a re-imagining for the modern day , its scored a 76% audience rating on rotten tomatoes and everyone I know who watched it loved it , different strokes for different folks I guess
I think it was never about The Equalizer being a tough guy. Woodward for me was more about being smart, cunning and having the confidence and skills to know what he had to do - rather than being a tough guy. I think he had great vulnerability too showed we was still human and like all humans had his flaws. Like a lot of people on here, I’m not saying Denzel was bad just that I didn’t see it as The Equalizer but instead just another action adventure film with him in it. As you said, we’ll have to agree to disagree :)
Denzel was awsome as the equalizer , I would say far better than edward woodward , denzel pulled of the tortured deadly loner . This is just PC indentity politics garbage . Why ruin an established story that people like by shoe horning in someone who doesnt fit just to show how woke you are ? because they know this would never work as a stand alone series plain and simple so hijacking an established series is a cop out
Denzel’s version was not The Equalizer. Edward Woodward was what The Equalizer was all about. He was brilliant and William Zabka as his son :) Denzel’s version was just another movie and everyone I know that’s seen the original series agrees.
Not sure I want to watch this after reading the comments but for the record they messed up this reboot when Denzel Washington tried to play The Equalizer. They should’ve just rebranded it and given it another title as it wasn’t what we know as The Equalizer - just another action movie badly done, so God knows what this one turned out like…?
Some muppet gave this a 1 star, if you like british crime drama this new show should hit the spot 4 stars
Is this worthy of the books? I’m a massive Peter James fan but am a bit worried the TV version will ruin the book… Thanks
