Titans (2018) S3 E3
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That was cool, and unexpected. I hope all y’all have seen what the next episode is called… https://www.primewire.li/tv/303886/watch-titans-season-3-episode-4

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Ahahahahaha wooo-ho ho ho - happy Christmas to all youse!

Greenland (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Giving it 2 stars - too much soap opera not enough crap blowing up. I wanted havoc, action and special effects, this is a family rosemance with the occasional poof of something in the distance getting flattened. Disappointed - and I would watch Morena Baccarin blow her nose like a footballer.

The Flash (2014) S7 E7
joshmajor1987 3 points 3 years ago.

I’m gonna look after this just incase but does anybody know if this is the season finale or just the covid nonsense messing with the episode count?? There has NEVER been just 7 episodes haha

Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

There is at least 2 more episodes this season (Eps 08 & 09) - I read ages ago that there would be 18 episodes this season, but the coronavirus may have screwed that up… Next ep is 4th of May - The People v. Killer Frost.

Breach (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I wish I had known, I could have spent that 90 minutes watching something good.

The Boys (2019)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago*.

Delighted! Those guys have to have their own kryptonite - a couple of them it’s probably carbs… White sliced for the win!

DC's Stargirl (2020) S1 E11
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Good episode - they are building it up for the season finale in 2 weeks time.

NOVA (1974)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

Aww hell - 5 nova episodes landed together, I yam gonna be busy for a few hours…

Loki (2021) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well that was cool, fewer Lokis than last week though. I have many questions, none of them got answered - I guess that’s what season 2 is for…

How the Universe Works (2010) S9 E1
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Whoo hoo! I forgot this was back.

The Nevers (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I like it, the H.G. Wells flavour off it is great, but there is greater social awareness in the writing. Personally I don’t care who made it or what they did, I will watch all 6 of these.

Resident Alien (2021) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Whoo hoo! Gimme dat…

Lucifer (2016)
sasabrzi 2 points 3 years ago.
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Not even filmed yet - covid19 did them in. According to a comment up the page there won’t be any episodes until early 2021.

Mortal (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago*.

That was a good little movie from André Øvredal, the director of Trollhunter which I enjoyed very much too. Somebody oughta give him a heap of money to make a movie, but maybe Hollywood whizz-bang would spoil his style. He has a fine understated way with the folklore of Scandinavia. I am going to seek out his other works now - pass me my brogues I am on a quest… Recommended - 5/5.

See (2019) S2 E2
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I am enjoying this, there are some nice killings in it and Jason Momoa is really bringing it as action hero. Personally I think it’s a shame he didn’t make a few more Conan movies.

Marvel's Spider-Man (2017)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Spidah-man! I forgot this was back, thanks very much - that’s another 20 minutes of virus time done…

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

First time in a long time I watched something subtitled without Godzilla or lots of kung fu… Good story though - one of the ways you can die during sex is called a “Subarachnoid haemorrhage” - the arachnoid part came back to me when I saw them spider legs coming out of that girls eyeballs (SPOILERS!)

The Alienist (2018) S2 E1
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Glad this is back, it’s dark and twisty - you never know who they will kill off, and we get two episodes a week by the looks of it. Fresh entertainment is scarce with the virus shutdown, so relief and joy!

Rick and Morty (2013) S5 E10
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

That was the best episode yet. I had to check it was really 23 minutes, they packed a lot of stuff in there. The Avengers: Infinity war of Rick and Morty.

Bill Nye Saves the World (2017)
Yellowbeard 1 points 4 years ago.

dat guy is a troll - stop feeding him.

Cosmos (1980)
Yellowbeard 2 points 4 years ago.

Woo hoo! I am gonna be all over this like custard on a slice of apple pie…

Invincible (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

That’s not a cartoon for the kids, nope… I like it, my only problem is the head on omni-man - he looks like J. Jonah Jameson on steroids.

Batman: Soul of the Dragon (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago*.

I recommend this, it is quality from every angle. It is full of tropes, and it’s not all about Batman. Not a cartoon for younger kids - no language but there is blood and killings and evil. The soundtrack is real funky, proper 70’s style. Giving it 5/5 like a total fanboy.

The Comey Rule (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

NURSE! NURSE! THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR STRAIGHT JACKETS AGAIN!
I wasn’t going to watch this, but all the hate has me intrigued…

The Mandalorian (2019) S2 E7
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

This has gotten even better now, less sidetracks and more man on a mission. Next week is the season finale, arses will be kicked and stuff is gonna blow up - I have spoken…

Superman: Red Son (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 4 years ago.

Pay no heed to the hyperbole, if you liked the previous DC animated movies then you should enjoy this. Set as part of the “elseworld” series, there is more action and story to the books, but for a sub 90 minute adaptation this is pretty decent. There is both language and gore so not for youngsters. It’s commie Superman - who doesn’t want to see that?

The Expanse (2015)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Whooo hooo! Three fresh episodes - Thanks very much…

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) S7 E12
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Whooo hoo - gimme dat! This is episode 12 and 13 cut together - 1:24 minutes.

The Alienist (2018) S2 E8
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I enjoyed that from beginning to end, the way they build the suspense is fantastic. Even the very ending leaves you guessing if they are going to make another season. Very good - giving it 5/5.

Doom Patrol (2019) S2 E4
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I love it when my shows turn up early - thanks to all the staff and the whole internet! :)

Detectorists (2014)
dw99 5 points 3 years ago*.

A lovely, low-key, slyly funny show. If you like lots of action, you won’t like it; if you’re happy with well-written characters, esp. eccentric ones, this is for you.

And an fyi about the lyrics for the theme: “loamy earth,” not “lonely earth”! Bugs me to see that error in the subtitles — and dismays me that language is being degraded daily by the intertubes.

Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I love this too. You ought to watch Worzel Gummidge, it’s much the same, Mackenzie Crook in a field - but this time he has a turnip for a head…

The Boys (2019) S2 E8
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

I like. Seems to me they backed off the soap opera a little and turned up the plot and the superhero action. Giving it 5 stars and I am going to be sad next week when there is no episode. There is only 6 more sleeps until Star Trek discovery starts up again, and 3 weeks till The Mandalorian. Rejoice nerds! I hope I cheered you all up!

The Mandalorian (2019) S2 E8
PonderThis 0 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

My mind was processing the scene with Luke or was this a young Anakin (Luke’s father)? I was thinking Grogu isn’t Yoda and trying to figure things out. No one said his name in the scene, so are we sure it’s actually Luke Skywalker? We all assume it’s Luke. Remember Darth Vader was his father. Could he be Anakin Skywalker instead of Luke? And Anakin was a Jedi and he spent time with Yoda before going over to the dark side.

Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

Couldn’t be Yoda - Yoda told Luke he had been training jedi for 800 years when they first met :p

The Alienist (2018) S2 E4
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago*.

There is only 8 episodes - but there is 3 more books if they want to make more series. One book came out in 2016 and the author is working on two more. I am enjoying this, it is darkitty dark dark dark.

Batman: Soul of the Dragon (2021)
Krl246 1 points 3 years ago.

Dick Dragon, are you serious. This is pure comedy.

Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

It was 1974 - lots of people were called dick…

The Expanse (2015) S5 E7
jeff7777 2 points 3 years ago.

Explain to me….How can Naomi survive going into outer space, jumping from 1 ship to another, without a spacesuit…??????????????

Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

In a vacuum they reckon your bodily fluids start to boil in 30-60 seconds (giving you the bends at first and bursting your organs if it continues). Naomi could have survived this, as could Dave in 2001 a space oddessy and starlord in guardians of the galaxy. If the drop in pressure is sudden and you don’t get a chance to take a few deep breathes, you could be unconscious in 15 seconds though…

Loki (2021) S1 E4
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

Thanks guys - you make me want to smoke dope first thing in the morning…

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

That was glorious. I wanted to see the monkey fight the dragon back when I was a kid and it was 2 guys in rubber suits, this just made me happy for modern technology. What a spectacle.

The Expanse (2015) S5 E4
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Best episode so far this season. They set out everyone who needs spanking here, let the chastisement begin!

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

I enjoyed that, it had a look and flavour of old-fashioned batman cartoons. There is an after credit scene - and part 2 is 27th July.

The Suicide Squad (2021)
Dread Pirate Robert 2 points 2 years ago.

I’ve never read any of these damn comic books but I know a good movie when I see it. Do you really expect anyone to believe you sat through a movie for over two hours that you thought was literally terrible? Either you quit or you are exaggerating.

Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

I have figured out what put me off in the 4 months since, John Cena is just too bad an actor and it kept pulling me out of the movie. I did read the books and I watch all the output, I couldn’t like this though.

Doom Patrol (2019) S2 E9
Yellowbeard 2 points 3 years ago.

That finished kinda strange, but that’s okay - it was strange all the way through. I would like an ounce of whatever they are smoking and one of them brown acids…

Slugfest (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

The Russo brothers eh? 10 minute episodes? I’ll bite…

Superman & Lois (2021) S1 E10
TTB 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

In the first Superman movie he reversed time by spinning the Earth backwards. Nothing you said is any more ridiculous than that.

Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ifn it makes you feel better - he traveled back in time by flying faster than the speed of light - Earth spun backwards because time was reversed and for that few minutes there was TWO supermans. It’s all legit and verified by Einstein - I am only surprised he doesn’t use it more. He could double team darkseid or spit roast Lois…

Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler (2019)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

We are getting a 3rd season kids! They have to clear up the whole “It’s a girl” cliffhanger thing.

Infinite (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago*.

That was really badly stupid as plots go. Good action, not bad acting, but the story just had too many holes. Knock off own-brand assassins creed - 3/5. Edit: The hand-to-hand was pathetic.

Fortress (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

That was terrible, plot holes, illogical tactics, really bad acting, stupid childish fully grown adults, poor hand to hand, poor dialogue and not enough killings. Ifn they had tripled the body count I could have forgiven them. Bear witness to how few stars I give it, and I like a cheesy action movie.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge (2020)
Yellowbeard 2 points 4 years ago*.

Nice! Buckets of blood up the walls, guys getting their skulls ripped out of their head, dat boss guy with the four arms - it’s mortal kombat alright…
