The writers try too hard to try and make something so plot less and mundane artificially dramatic. How did this get 4 seasons on AMC ??? who found this entertaining ?? Mad Men was boring but at least it had multi dimensional fascinating characters that have arcs….these people are just selfish assholes that stay selfish assholes.

A dark comedic satire about a family whose wealth was built on religious conservatism in the USA. The family dynamic is clever if cliche. Nonetheless, it does engage with an awkward comedic style and a talented cast. Hypocrisy and greed juxtaposed with almost humourous violence reminiscent of Fargo make up the keel of this show. Certainly worth watching if not converting.

Watched all 8 episodes. I enjoyed it. They developed decent characters gave it some good plot twists. I feel the original had more depth, but many people will probably see this without ever seeing valkyerin so they won’t feel like anything is off.

I watched the first 4 episodes. I like it. It’s based on the series from Norway called Valkyrien staring Sven Nordin which was excellent… I had heard there was a British retelling in the works, so far it does the original justice
i was just about to write the same thing but you beat me to it ! (ps i remember the alcoholic episode from the Norwegian series(this one is totally different) that inspired me to get a prescription for a drug that makes you ill (not kill you ) when you consume alcohol that really helped me stop 20 years of drinking like a chef, so that show always had a soft spot in my heart )
