It wasn’t too bad. Lots of silly action. There were a few laugh out loud scenes. Well, partial scenes.

I thought this was one of Johnny Depp’s best performances. I love the genre.
Also, for TWD fans, they will recognize Alpha in a leading role.
How this flashed under me radar I’ll nay a know! Lots better than chasin kangaroos!
Here is the first movie: https://www.primewire.ag/movie/1145119-watch-occupation
I think a lot of people do not want to admit they do not like the people who keep taking the Captain’s seat in Disco and WHY they don’t like those people. Instead they come up with reasons they claim make the show horrible but have been seen in every season. The show is too emotional (just admit you don’t like scenes where people talk about fitting in). Enterprise and Voyager were all about emotions and filled with weird meditation scenes. Oh the ship being sentient is weird? Yeah we never had computer problems on TNG (by the way my big gripe about Disco is that they did not use the same voice. that woman CARRIED Star trek in more ways than one and they could have used all her old footage to make a voice filter and keep using her voice as the ship). THere’s something on the show for everyone if it was so bad there wouldn’t be new spin-offs based on how well they are doing.
That would have been very cool to hear Majel Barrett’s voice come out of the computer.
The second season of “Evil” is set to premiere on Paramount Plus June 20. Yay.
The fictionalized backstory of real-life silent-screen star Louise Brooks. Based on a bestselling novel, adapted by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey). A lovely period piece depicting an exciting era even though Prohibition somewhat put a damper on things. Elizabeth McGovern is wonderful in her role.
Fantastic! And you people with your negativity, it’s apparent nothing would bring you pleasure.
Right now, Discovery Season 5 is in pre-production. It is expected to premiere sometime in 2023, but that has not been confirmed yet.
It was upsetting when this show was cancelled. According to Amanda Tapping renewal was off the table, then it was back on. In the end it was “wah-wah.”
Of course, nowhere near as upsetting as the cancellation of Firefly.
Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying. - Arthur C. Clarke
The examples u provide are not socialist nations. They are a mix of socialism with capitalism. Pensions, supplemented healthcare, worker’s aid/compensation are all examples of socialism. Making a living, earning a wage, sale of goods and services is how capital is generated to pay for those socialist ideals thru taxation: both personal and goods and services tax. Sadly in every example of socialism the world over, egregious despots often wield the tyrannical reign of power for their narcissistic, ubiquitous intentions. What you find is the banter of academia more often heralding the virtues of socialism, and Not the patrons of private/corporate economies. Most of these soothsayers know little of the economic engine of capitalism. A teacher, a police officer, or any civil servant, is little more than a glorified welfare recipient. They add zero material wealth to the GDP of a nation. And are actually a drain on a capital system. Yes they serve their purpose under a capitalistic structure. Any growth or value(GDP) of a nation can be ascertained thru the provision of a good or service that is sold for profit and then taxed. There is no other way. The socialist wet dream of some euphoric utopian world is little more than an apocalyptic nightmare. Quit listening to no-nothing academics. The reality is those on the top never relinquish power or wealth in a socialist world. You are little more than a plebeian shoveling horse dung from the stables. In a capitalist/social mix u have an opportunity for all boats to rise, not just those on top who wield the power. Perfect?..No far from it. But man will always be immoral, selfish, envious and greedy..until he relinquishes his sin, dies to self, and chooses another way. Otherwise lying, cheating, immorality remain his only hope. Six thousand years of human history have not shown me anything to the contrary.Socialism or the New World order/Great Reset will only accomplish what I have described..and for most, the abyss awaits.IMO
The examples sa provides are examples of the only forms of socialism we will ever know. It falls to the richest nations to provide support to the citizens of the world. You help a country and they will be your ally in whatever way they can should you need one in the future. A government, at all levels, is meant to help their citizens. Communities are meant to help their neighbors. That’s a form of socialism I can live with. Right now, we are experiencing another form of socialism. Bread lines. How can this be possible?
A partial quote from Albert Schweitzer- “…Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace.”
Oh wow, this is amazing. I never knew this existed. Awesome. Thank you to whomever posted this. So much.
God I really dislike this series. It started out with a tiny bit of promise but quickly lost it the more the main characters were introduced and more tiime was spent with them. I knew it was probably going to be a lemon when the main character was so dislikable. Cocky arrogant criminal and only gets by with luck then swaggers and acts like it was pure skill. Gets worse every season. Watched the first episode of the last season and its just her and a few others. I decided only way Id watch past 1st episode was if they killed her off.
Cohen loves to troll the right and they think it’s clever to misgender someone as an insult.
I loved the idea of Sea-Monkeys. Unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the hype. And tiny bananas were hard to come by.
OMGosh, this series is INSANELY excellent! There has to be a second season.
“Do you want drugs? The Chief has drugs!”
I love Cliff’s vocabulary. It reminds me…of me.
Good final episode. Sets up next season.
Atwater took a stand for truth and now they’re coming for him.
Nandor: “I had what is known as a Summer of Self Discovery. I was being a vapor and I got sucked into an air purifier.”
I’m hoping there isn’t going to be a change from last years’ writing.
So far so good and it looks like Anthony LaPaglia has found tv fame again by going back to Australia and doing some decent tv dramas. Always liked his acting and is the perfect cop/FBI agent.
These just got put up, if you’re interested.

Edit: Was it something I said? Jerks.
Your google is broken o.0
Few articles on it yesterday, but this bit should not be overlooked
“With episode 7 now airing today, the rest of the rest of the season will be airing a little earlier than expected. Strange New Worlds episode 8 will air this Thursday, July 27th. Episode 9, the musical episode, will air the Thursday after that, and episode 10, the season finale, will air on August 10th.”
Overall this is a mildly to moderately enjoyable farce. After the first episode, the continuity and factual errors become a nuisance. A glaring mark against this series are the continuous factual errors around actually living and going out into the sub-zero temperatures of Antarctica (going out into minus 40-60 without a hood on, excessive vulnerable body parts exposed, no sign of cold air when speaking, etc. etc. etc.). The clues that Maggie is one of Sarah Jackson’s two daughters is there from episode two. The rape scene that is about to turn violent, and leads to Sarah’s murder, combined with the subsequent haranguing over convincing and persuading everyone into collusion, was a waste of valuable screen time and felt counterfeit in and of itself. The last act, and last 8 minutes of the series, was hastily thrown in as we learn of Aki’s fate; murdered by [fake] Maggie to cover up the revenge plot. Truly, this would have been so much better if they’d simply stopped the obviously contrived and spurious efforts, and concentrated on keeping it simple. 2.8/5
Very intense. Very dark. And a very depressing place to live. These are the Americans that have been forgotten and left behind. This is far from and quite the opposite of “a chick flick/teenage ABC soap opera.”
Good acting as a result of good writing. Next episode, please.
That was some intense shi…uh….stuff.
Do we find out what happens to the losers?
Damn. Another tough ending to watch.
I think Alicent realized the King thought he was talking to his daughter and hopefully relays his final words to her.
I wonder what rock that sneaky snake “The Clubfoot” is hiding under.
I’m pretty sure they all do. Klingons are like those guys with their assault rifles protesting the very apocalypse they’ve been prepping for for like ever; Doesn’t matter what the issue is, they’re against it and they want to fight over it.
For some reason I’m reminded of the scene in the episode “Dark Page” (I think) where Worf was invited to join Deanna and Lwaxana Troi and other aliens for a Jacuzzi. He was so resistant. He finally admitted, “Klingons do not bathe.”
