Has anyone watched this yet? Love Aronofsky’s films but from the trailer alone it looks very depressing yet quite good. I think I’ll need to be in a certain frame of mind to watch it. Aronofsky’s movies are always fascinating & definitely challenge the viewer in one way or another.

I’ve loved Toni Collette since a friend introduced me to “Muriel’s Wedding”. But my favorite roles of hers were this and “Connie and Carla”.

It IS a bit slowly paced. But well done. There was a lot of attention to detail, at times a bit TOO much. But I think that as the story develops, it’s going to be good. I like how they modernize it, while giving a nod to the original interview. As a long time fan of The Vampire Chronicles, I’m glad to see them bring new life to Anne’s characters. But if the pace remains as it is, it won’t hold enough interest to get a second season.

Watched the 1st epi last night & man talk about a creepy great show. Stellar cast w/Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale & Jennifer Coolidge of the known names but the rest of the cast is great too. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

It fascinating to me how people can allow themselves to be brainwashed to the point of consensually giving their will power away. I wish people would learn from the countless stories that have been told through the years. Good watch.

Such a great film. It’s a truly riveting film w/a fantastic cast & performances & top notch cinematography. It was beautiful on the big screen when I first saw it.

Issa Rae created & executive produced this show so I know it’s great just from watching the trailer. Issa co-wrote & starred in the amazing show ‘Insecure’, so this is her new show. I’m looking forward to it.

Swampthing was a great show. To bad nobody watched it or it would have been a hit. More so then this show imo.

Its interesting how they intertwined the fairy tales. And the cast is top notch but, this plays more like an opera. Too much singing can be a bad thing … over kill. Its not something I will re-watch.

Loved this. I’m a big Terry Gilliam fan. I saw this in the theater when it came out, which is how every Gilliam movie should be seen since they are visually quite stunning. This is pretty fun & silly if I recall correctly. Need to see it again since I’ve not watched it since my first viewing in the theater.

Vanjie. Miss Vanjie. Miss Vaaaaanjie! Loving this show. It’s equal parts entertaining, funny & shady af. It’s everything I want in a mindless watch. Plus I love Vanjie/Jose, she’s hilarious.

Classic! Grew up watching this twisted movie. Equally funny, dark, endearing, sweet & sad it’s a quirky odd couple movie. Cat Stevens’ soundtrack is perfect too.

Excellent movie. Directed, written & starring BJ Novak who does an amazing job. The supporting cast w/ Issa Rae & Dove Cameron is fantastic too all feeling so real in their characterizations. It’s a fish out of water scenario & a who done it dramedy. It definitely will get you thinking too due to the in depth themes. Highly recommended.

I actually liked the Drive-in one. But I love Adrienne Barbeau. From “The Fog” to “Creepshow” to “AJ and the Queen” to “Tales of Halloween”, she never disappoints.

Right, augusts1? This is exactly what season 2 of “American Horror Stories” is about! The first season was more misses than hits, but this time. . .

It certainly deserves STIFF criticism. :-P

Seriously, I thought it wasn’t bad. The ending was kind of beautiful, in it’s own “American Horror Stories” kind of way.

The episodes are short, but they feel right. No filler and each is a distinct chapter. I probably should have waited to binge it, but it’s too late now. I’m invested and will just have to be patient.

Just from the 1st two episodes I’m mesmerized. It’s quite an unusual & compelling twist on the serial killer genre. Gleeson & Carrell are both excellent in this & quite believable. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series to see where this goes.
