Excellent! I’m so happy to see Kaavan freed and happy! It brought tears to my eyes. 5/5

I’m so glad I found this on someone’s playlist. Thanks to that someone. Godspeed to Kaavan in his new life

Jamie’s Scotland accent is sooo sexy I could listen to him all day by the fire

Beyond Recognition: The Incredible Story of a Face Transplant (2013)
Satyran 1 points 2 years ago.

Absolutely. I don’t think I could do and go through everything that this woman has went through. A very strong person and I thought it was particularly cool that she was even continuing to want to learn and do new things. A great example of strength and determination.

yellow_rose1 2 points 2 years ago.

I don’t think I could have this woman’s strength either. It takes a special kind of bravery for sure

Betrayal at Attica (2021)
yellow_rose1 2 points 2 years ago.

Great documentary. I grew up in a penitentiary town. My mother retired from working at one of them called Millhaven. I got to know many guards and I can tell you all the ones I got to know over the years were drunks, abusive and criminal sociopaths. Worse if not just as bad as any criminal I’ve met. 5/5 on the doc by the way, a must watch

The Day the '60s Died (2015)
random000 3 points 6 months ago*.

Time & again from the Caesars, Hussein, Stalin, Tojo, Mau, Nixon, etc- History records for itself the true nature of conservatism & how far its treason will go to silence free liberal dissent & to show it’s murderous intolerance for liberty & self-rule.

yellow_rose1 2 points 6 months ago.

It’s seems the objective is always to keep society divided and at war with one another. As Nixon said it best, “It’s not against the law when the president does it.”

The Exorcist (1973)

this must be a directors cut as there are scenes in this copy I’ve never seen before and I’ve watch this many a time. Although it has been many years

We watched this a short while back and I can honestly say that there wasn’t a dry eye in our house. It’s a classic story about love, and life, and hope.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

yes an absolute timeless classic for the young and old. I cried as well. I just finished watching it again. I revisit it every few years or so. It’s one of those feel good movies that I watch when I need to pick up my spirits. Well all except for the ending of course❣️

The Good Lord Bird (2020)

I am enjoy this very much it has a Cohen brothers feel to it. The narration is done so well. Although most of the acting is done by unknown actors they are all doing a great job

Wadd: The Life & Times of John C. Holmes (2001)
BellaMia1 2 points 2 years ago.

Interesting insight into the “legend” of porn movies. His behavior when he got sick though, was criminal. Not a nice man, at times. An interesting watch.

yellow_rose1 2 points 2 years ago.

I found this film to show Holmes in a more compassionate place then the movie Wonderland. He was still a scumbag but to those that knew him I guess he had some positive attributes. 5/5

Big Timber (2020)

Disgusting series. These people should be in jail for environmental terrorism, not have their own show. What’s wrong with the world?

so true. The trees are the lungs of the earth. The more trees they remove the more our quality of air deteriorates.

@Yellow-rose
I totally agree. At least Lacey tapped early, before her craziness became an issue like in her previous seasons. I was surprised to not see “Laura” she would have been a better choice than Lacey. I’ll be anxiously awaiting next season! 😊

yellow_rose1 2 points 2 years ago.

I agree Laura would have been a better contender

Hell's Kitchen (2005) S20 E13
UGuess 1 points 2 years ago.

I concur and this is one of the very times I agreed with Ramsey’s decision this season

I think Brynn would have been the better choice. I was sad to see him go too

I haven’t seen a great doc like this in a long time. Those who watch, it’s going to make your blood boil. I haven’t cried like that for a complete stranger ever. I hope Breton goes on to do great things in life

The Murder of Fred Hampton (1972)
Saucer-People 7 points 3 years ago*.

Betrayed and drugged by an FBI informer before being assassinated by the police while he slept, Fred Hampton was the one Black Panther who fit FBI director Hoover’s fear of the appearance of a ‘black messiah’ - someone who could unite all the races and saw class not racism as the key organising principle of revolution with his concept of the Rainbow Coalition that embraced grassroots working class groups like the Young Patriots, composed of poor displaced white youth.
Unfortunately the prevailing historical view of the Black Panthers is of gun-toting macho male revolutionaries even though the majority of the membership was young black women and I can’t help but feel that the vision of Fred Hampton was lost because of this distorted view of the Black Panthers.
One of the most essential documents of the radical seventies, the film and the message of Fred Hampton is more needed than ever.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 years ago.

I couldn’t agree more

Old Yeller (1958)
yellow_rose1 2 points 3 months ago.

I just love this movie. When I was about 9 years old my Dad rented this movie shortly after getting our first VCR. I didn’t want to watch it. I felt all grown up by then and too old to be watching a Disney movie. I want to shout out a big thanks to my dear old Dad for having sat threw the movie with me. I loved it from start to finish and still do.

I am so sorry to hear that. It’s such an ugly problem. I don’t think our court system takes it seriously at all.

yellow_rose1 2 points 3 years ago.

you are so right on that. Time and time again he was sent to prison for robbing banks and he would get these light sentences. He treated the whole process as a joke, which it really is and he would be back at it within weeks to months. Nobody in the system focused on his addiction. Thanks for the kind words.

Marquis de Sade? Well good luck with that. He says he’s an Author and has two restaurants but I’ve never heard of him either, so yes what is his claim to fame?If I find out where he got his start I’ll let you know and vise versa. Ok? It’s a good show I’m looking forward to more

Me too. I have watched this movie countless times. Oldman does such a fantastic performance. Even though he suppose to be a malicious character I fell in love with him even more than Mina, being that of Ryder’s character
