Some pretty amusing television.
For a reality show it’s clearly a little over produced but I enjoyed it… Jim is actually a decent actor so it’s not always obvious how many takes they had but there’re way too many camera angles for most “live” one take scenes.
Anyway, it was funny and I’m looking forward to more.
they could have portraited the boys mother narcissistic personality much better.
and i wish she lost 1 of her 2 legs or arms atleast the movie would have served its purpose better rather then in the end not horning back to her mistakes.

The Jim Crow persona is a theater character by Thomas D. Rice and a racist depiction of African-Americans and their culture. The character was based on a folk trickster named Jim Crow that had long been popular among black slaves. Rice also adapted and popularized a traditional slave song called “Jump Jim Crow” (1828).[1]
The character is dressed in rags and wears a battered hat and torn shoes. Rice applied blackface makeup made of burnt cork to his face and hands[2] and impersonated a very nimble and irreverently witty African American field hand who sang, “Come listen all you galls and boys, I’m going to sing a little song, my name is Jim Crow, weel about and turn about and do jis so, eb’ry time I weel about I jump Jim Crow.”[2]
The Jim Crow laws and the high rate of lynchings in the South were major factors which led to the Great Migration during the first half of the 20th century. Because opportunities were so limited in the South, African Americans moved in great numbers to cities in Northeastern, Midwestern, and Western states to seek better lives.
Enjoyed this one immensely and was beautiful to watch. Waited since 2014 to see it and I’m so happy it finally came out. The version I watched was English dubbed and very well I must say. 4/5 or 7/10
Depends on what you like I suppose. I myself tried to like it, I really did, WANTED to, very much, gave it several episodes, but just couldn’t get into it. Others, however, like it just fine. You would have to make up your own mind.
Think I might be a bit too ‘Dexter’ jaded. Was actually hoping to find a replacement for that to tell the truth. This just wasn’t it.
The new episodes are crazy sad too, if you haven’t seen them.

Killing of a Sacred Dear is a brilliant film. All of Yorgos Lanthimos’s films are fantastic. For me he’s one of the most promising and exciting directors working in the world today. I love his stuff.
Well that was a big, fat bunch of pointless, plotless nonsense. The disgusting chewing and the screaming kid was just gross. This is up there with the stupidity of Killing of a Sacred Deer, and any other movie you can think of that doesn’t care to draw in the viewer with an actual plausible storyline (even if it’s fantasy, it still has to make sense).

I understood the hole movie you have to look further then and actually try to understand why they do certain things in the movie
each episode of the series it’s setting up is only supposed to be about 7–15 minutes long i watched “die heart” by kevin heart and its the same thing it was ok for comedy but for a action drama thriller
i dont think its long enough i watch the first episode and i loved it but right when it gets good it cuts off kinda sucks
is it just me or are the writers getting lazy? there seems to be for me very little build up- just one drama after another -very little in quality story substance -again this is IMO
Some movies must never be remade, and this one is of them. It’s classic as it is… probably the only film I’ve seen more than 10 times and each time, I learn something new.
It is good to see Val Kilmer on the big screen again. I’ve always liked Val and he has done some decent movies over the years. His 5 year battle with throat cancer and the treatments for it has taken a toll on him. Because of the treatment, he had to have a tracheotomy and he has to speak by pressing the tube. He is hard to understand and his voice was dubbed for this movie. The guy doing the dubbing sounds nothing like Val, but it’s still good to see Val acting again.
Just watched tombstone he was so handsome back in the day its truly shocking and sad how much hes changed anywas thanks for the info
