This show is so much fun! I could hardly wait for season 2, and it’s even better than season 1. Now I can hardly wait for each episode. If you like farce, please give this show a try. You’re love it.

I’m really not sure where they are going with this series….It’s almost like they don’t even know themselves with where the series is going…. lol

AmieWarren 0 points 2 years ago.

I’m about 7 episodes into S2 and I’m already coming to that conclusion.

I ran out of things to binge, because half of my regular tv shows haven’t come back on yet. Season 1 was superb. I’m on s02e08 and I find myself skipping over a lot of the scenes, especially the sex scenes. This can’t be good for teenagers to watch, can it? I mean, I know teens have sex, but is Betty going to be the last virgin left on earth in the end? I just watch to find out who the killers are, but now that it’s 23 episodes instead of 13, I’ll probably be downloading and skipping through most of it.

I hope that teenagers don’t take this tv show seriously. First of all, all those 16 year olds live like they’re (at least) 30-40 years old. Even the way they drink is so weird, they drink rum and have business meetings. They don’t respect their parents and even rule over them. They can do whatever the hell they want, drink, stay out all night, blackmail, run a freaken ‘bar’/casino, go after murderers, form a gang, etc. Every time they do something bad they get away with it. Cheryl burned her house down and her mother just let it go. I can’t even begin about Veronica, the power her parents give to her, damn. And seriously what’s up with the girls outfits? Can the skirts be any shorter? Especially Veronica and Cheryl, no teenager dresses like that. Veronica’s gowns she wears when she’s in her ‘La bonne nuit’ come on, is that really the fashion style or even life style of a 16-17 year old girl?
Not every teenager is mature enough to see that this wrong in the real world.

AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago.

Why are you taking it so seriously? It’s a fantasy story based on a comic book. Chill out!

This season is just weird. I can hardly keep up. It’s going three different directions at once.

I was wondering when Moriah’s wardrobe was going to become an issue. Can’t wait until next week to see how that works out with her and Max. Seriously, I feel like she completely overdoes it with the makeup and Daisy Dukes sometimes. She so naturally beautiful. She shouldn’t have to make herself look like that to be happy in her own skin.

I’m glad that’s over. I won’t be watching anymore, even if there is a S3. The story is done AFAIC.

Nope, not watching any more of this. I’m not crazy about vampire shows anyway, but killing Loa was just a road too far. I’m done.

I laughed, I cried, and at the end I smiled. All is well on earth, in heaven and hell. Goodbye to the most interesting and unforgettable cast of characters I may ever see again. I’ll miss you a lot. Some shows just never can be replaced.

AYFKM? So Olivia, who doesn’t like Kim because she’s too controlling, is like “If he doesn’t want to do what I want to do, I’m just going to move on and do what’s best for me.” No wonder she doesn’t like Kim. She acts just like her! It’s like in Ethan, she saw a man-child that she could control, and now that he doesn’t want to be controlled anymore, she’s just ready to walk away. So who is the immature one now?

The mother just gets fatter and fatter, while the kids do all the work, cooking, cleaning, laundry, everything. Seriously, WTF does she even do? I know she home schools, but how is everybody so skinny and she’s so big? Probably because she has so much regret over how she treats her own children that she’s emotional eating. Do you think she has any guilt? I mean, her oldest daughter got married and moved to another state, and you never even hear about her. Now Ethan is leaving the state. How many more of her kids does she have to lose completely before she realizes something is wrong with her?

Back to Life (2019)
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago.

Just atarted this series, and had to read spoilers to find out what Miri did and where she had been for 18 years, because I can’t stand series like this that don’t tell you the whole story up front. I’m going to give it a go, but she doesn’t really appeal to me as a character right now. It seems sort of depressing, but I’ll how it goes.

IMDb says this is 10 episodes but not when they air

AmieWarren 0 points 2 years ago.

It’s probably a split season, like so many shows during the pandemic. It’s based on “Jerusalem’s Lot,” a short story by Stephen King, so read it if you want to know what happens next.

I was not expecting that! Only one more episode to resolve this. Should be interesting.

I can’t watch this. The dog’s drool is just too disgusting. It would probably be a good show otherwise.

I keep watching, hoping it will get better, because — Nikola Walker — but this one was just as boring as the first, and the asides are just as annoying.

I know this is supposed to be supernatural, but I’m seeing schizophrenia, not ghosts and curses. The fact that he didn’t have the delusions until he got to the house means nothing. Schizophrenia can start later in life. Usually starts in the 20s, but starting in the 30s is not unusual. The strange thing is that it’s supposedly hereditary, but they say it affected the grandmother also, but not the grandfather, who was just mean and only went mad after his granddaughter was murdered and his son killed himself (or did he?). Seems it passed from the grandmother to the male descendants.

I think we all figured out that Spoon is a transgender girl, but it was confirmed in this episode when Donny said “Ladies first,” as they were getting onto the boat, and she said “Thanks!”

I don’t know if the actor is trans IRL, but in this, she is adorable.

Annika (2021) S1 E1
TX2Guns 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

FYI: This series is based on the BBC radio Scandi noir Annika Strandhed with the location changed from Norway to Scotland. OK so all of you out there who were fans of The Unforgotten like me, this series is not like it at all. The writing is more light comedy than police procedural, the characters are dull and boring, but by far the most distracting and CHEESY thing is the constant breaking of the 4th wall (Walker addressing the camera with eye contact and what feels like a stand up comedy improv routine.) The Death by Harpoon “Get your point across” joke pretty much sums up what you can expect. Think I will pass.

AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I don’t like that she plays such a wussy character. She’s always played such strong characters, large and in charge. This doesn’t suit her, and the asides to the camera are just weird. Not sure I’ll continue to watch it.

Annika (2021)
AmieWarren 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I love Nicola Walker, but I was not impressed with the first episode. It’s just too slow and plodding, compared to her other endeavors, and I don’t like her acting so weak and powerless. She’s always played strong characters. This doesn’t suit her.

Mountain Men (2012) S10 E9
AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Good episode. I like all the guys except the one that chases mountain lions. He just has no personality. I really like the Youren brothers. They are true mountain man. I wish Jason Hawk hadn’t left. I really liked him a lot, but the Kodiak guy is pretty cool too.

The Prince (2021)
Tinker_Pixie95 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This shows actually funny! I think the only people who are offended in anyway by this show will be some of the brits who actually die hard love the royal family… I’m Canadian, and the royal family doesn’t really do sht here or in any other countries they’ve ruined over history. To those oppressors who spearheaded colonization and then slavery through out all the Americas… we deserve a good laugh at least!

AmieWarren 0 points 2 years ago.

I’m not enamored of the royal family, and I think it’s horrible.

The Prince (2021)
AmieWarren 0 points 2 years ago.

This is horrible. I watched 4 episodes hoping it would get better. I know it’s satire, but the way they portray Prince Phillip is disgraceful! George is just Stewie 2.0. It’s not funny. Don’t waste your time.

Good Witch (2008) S7 E10
AmieWarren 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I can’t believe it’s over. If I had my way, I’d be hearing about a spinoff soon, like “Good Witch - Around the World.” I will just miss them so much. I was disappointed that Grace didn’t come back at the end. That was just strange. Still, a happy ending all around. As for the rest, the people who belonged together ended up together, and that’s all you need for a perfect ending.

Charmed (2018) S3 E18
AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well, that was a surprise! Another sister? Maybe “sisterhood” doesn’t necessarily mean biological “sisters,” and the cousin will become one of the three? That would be nice. I wondered when she appeared what her role would be in the future. And Jordan! OMG! Please let him be a whitelighter so Harry won’t have that burden all on his own! And can we PLEASE find some more witches somewhere, or at least find a way to create more witches? They can’t all be gone. Can’t wait for next season.

I did not see that ending coming. I guess this was a one-season wonder? Doesn’t look like there is anywhere for it to go.

Whitstable Pearl (2021) S1 E5
AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago.

Does anyone know the name of the woman who plays the grandmother in this episode? She’s not on any cast lists, but she’s so familiar.

Mare of Easttown (2021) S1 E7
AmieWarren 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I did not see that coming. I usually can figure out endings, but this was a total surprise. What can I say about the actors — they were just so believable and totally immersed in their characters. My only complaint is that there were so many of them, I couldn’t keep up with who was who sometimes. I really pray this has a second season. I know Kate is in high demand, but it would be so great to see where else Mare’s job and life take her.
Thanks, uploaders. It’s always nice to have so many choices up so fast. although I admit that I was so wrapped up in Lucifer today, that I totally forgot about Mare.

Whitstable Pearl (2021) S1 E1

Brendan Frasier reminds me of the older William Shatner. Not so much to look at anymore, but still talented and nice to watch. I’m here for Tom Welling, though.
