Yellowbeard's comments

Raised by Wolves (2020)
Yellowbeard 14 points 3 years ago.

I like, it got my science fiction noodle going. It’s quite original, there seems to be baddies and goodies on both sides - I think I have figured out a couple of the plot items that haven’t been revealed yet, I will not spoil… I am hoping for me to be wrong about these and for the plot to take a few twists - roll on next week…
(Nutflux has us all spoiled releasing all episodes at once I says!)

WandaVision (2021) S1 E8
Yellowbeard 8 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Best episode yet - and it explains everything that went on these last few weeks. It’s getting Avengery now. If you been following him on youtube - ten bucks says Kevin Smith did cry…

Woo hoo! I don’t care about the quality, this guy always takes me back to being 7 or 8 years old. Gimme dat!

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Happy Saint Patricks day! I got all day off to watch this…

All y’all should watch “Childhood’s end” ifn you haven’t already - it’s not like war of the worlds at all…

See (2019) S2 E8

That was class, absolutely top drawer.

Resident Alien (2021) S2 E1
Yellowbeard 7 points 2 years ago.

Whoo hoo! I been waiting 10 months for this.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E13
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Any day you eject the warp core is a good day… :p

Gunpowder Milkshake (2021)
Yellowbeard 6 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This is a good little pulp action movie, bang bang splat, smack in the head with a hammer. The story is reasonable, the cast is top drawer and the production values look expensive. I may be biased, I would watch Michelle Yeoh or Karen Gillan do their taxes…

The Crimson Permanent Assurance (Short 1983)
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago.

Monty Python I’ve never seen? I’m impressed!

Doom Patrol (2019)
Yellowbeard 6 points 2 years ago.

Hoo-rah! Season 3 time!

Resident Alien (2021) S1 E9
Yellowbeard 11 points 3 years ago.

Cool. It’s the season finale next week kids, make sure to have your snacks, drinks and a bag o weed ready!

Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020)
Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago.

That’s my Saturday night sorted. They seem to be spitting these out at quite a rate, Superman: Red Son was almost exactly 6 months ago… https://www.primewire.ag/movie/1337940-watch-superman-red-son

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago.

I enjoyed that - it is what it is (A Bill & Ted movie). Giving it 4 stars - I am not harsh with entertainment, if it was that bad then I should have known better than to click on it or watch it all the way through. I saw Keanu doing press for this, he is in Germany shooting the 4th matrix movie then he starts John Wick 4 after that, this film would have been like a holiday for him…

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (2021) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Giving it 5 stars - plenty of action and a good story setup to go forward with. Shame it is finished, I wanted to see Zemo get battered into a dentists chair.
49 Days, 8 Hours and 4 Minutes to Loki…

Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago.

I just binged all of this, in truth I feel a bit trippy but it was worth it. The animation is just stunning, on another level. It’s a good story set in an impressive world with big characters, I never played the game - it must be very good for someone to love it and take it and do this to it.

Debris (2021) S1 E5
Yellowbeard 7 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Too much fiction, not enough science. It’s a bit woo-woo for me, and the field agents have too much soap opera going on. I would rather see the lab guys figuring out the debris, though with this type of show one of the lab guys be getting divorced, one would be an alcoholic and the general in charge would be a space alien in a skin suit…

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 7 points 3 years ago.

Technically brilliant, effects, script, acting, camera work - it got it all. The best bit of original TV since watchmen. I knew what was coming from the synopsis but I still jumped when it happened. There is an after credit scene for the series ahead - I will be watching.

Real Time with Bill Maher (2003)
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago.

This weeks episode was cancelled when Bill tested positive for covid19 during a staff PCR test. He is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic, but they cancelled to be cautious as he could still spread it around. The moral is: Be careful who you share your bong with children…

Rick and Morty (2013)
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago.

Season 5 has been announced - 20th June, and there is a trailer on youtube ifn you are bothered…

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E10
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago*.

That was a fitting ending to a great season. It’d be a shame if we didn’t get more, the producer has said nothing is official, but she has a vision for a second season. Helluva a job she did, in future can we get more black girls making TV? I sense untapped talent…

Monster Hunter (2020)
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago.

That was alright, I like an auld creature feature - even the bad ones, and I intend to watch everything Tony Jaa does hoping for another ong bak… Good action and effects, stunning African landscapes, half decent story and acting - you could do worse things with those 90 minutes.

Invincible (2021) S1 E7
Yellowbeard 6 points 3 years ago.

Well that was cool, next week is the season finale - I predict gore and killings.

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E2
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

There is an after credit scene again kids! I am digging this show, it has a flavour of the twilight zone with a side of magic mushrooms. Spoilers: The snake was funny…

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E4
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

Giving this a 5/5, I enjoyed the filling out of the new characters back story. They are obviously setting up to face a big bad later on in the series, big bad is getting it’s a%%e kicked halfway up it’s back imho.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

Hoooo - weeeee! Season 3 of discovery is coming on 15th October - there will be 13 episodes airing every Thursday. I am delighted so I am…

Invincible (2021) S1 E8
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago*.

Sad this is finished it’s season, I liked these characters. The finale did not disappoint, gore, beatings, pathos - Seth Rogen is really clever putting his money into this, I hope is was a big hit for him - they have already ordered season 2 & 3. I got to find a new cartoon for my Saturday morning now…

WandaVision (2021) S1 E9
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

I am looking forward to this - thank you primewire!

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E3
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago*.

I can’t fault it apart from having to wait until next week for another episode. Jurnee Smollett handed over some award winning acting, I would nae mess with her. Did I mention this show also has a cracking soundtrack?

Loki (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I like it, especially because they have been very careful with the physics - anything anomalous gets corrected. Putting them on one a week is a dick move though!

The First Men in the Moon (2010)
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

I never seen this, I remember the 1960’s version with Lionel Jeffries alright but this is new to me.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

Red alert! It’s here…

Doom Patrol (2019) S2 E5
Yellowbeard 4 points 3 years ago.

Another early delivery? You have us spoiled! :p

Catwoman: Hunted (2022)
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

That was not great to be honest, and I am a big fan of the animated superhero genre.

What If...? (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That was very nice, Nazi’s getting bashed to a Benny Goodman soundtrack - who doesn’t like that?

Invasion (2021) S1 E9
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago*.

They are going to have to do the greatest season finale ever to get me back for more is all I am saying. They still can, they have one more go…

Logan's Run (1976)
[User deleted] 3 points 2 years ago.

Wasn’t she in American Werewolf in London? Or was that someone else I’m thinking of?

Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

Yup she was nurse Alex - the one David was trying to put lil werewolf babies in…

Extraction (2020)
Yellowbeard 9 points 4 years ago.

I liked it, good action - guns, knives, hand to hand, a high body count and a few nice killings. It also had humanity and a story - Hemsworth did good without his big hammer. Giving it 5/5.

Marvel Studios: Legends (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago.

Wooo hooo - Marvel is getting back in the saddle…
5 days, 13 hours, 32 minutes and 40 seconds till “Wandavision”.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
Yellowbeard 5 points 4 years ago.

Hell yeah! I had a sweat on at the end of that movie. Why can’t DC hand over something like that in live action? 5 stars I says.

Batman Beyond: The Movie (1999)
dickgrimes 6 points 3 years ago.

I didn’t know they had a movie for this, was this before or after the series?

Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago.

It’s 6 episodes stitched together according to wikipaedia Senór Dick - “Rebirth “ (Parts 1 and 2), “Golem”, “Dead Man’s Hand”, “Meltdown’, “The Winning Edge”.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 3 years ago.

I’m gonna go watch king of the monsters again first…

Foundation (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago.

I will tell you this and say no more: Jared Harris is magnificent at his job. I barely remember the books, they were dense and complex and decades ago for me - but I like this science fiction show and I don’t care that they are not slavishly following Asimov’s words.

The Book of Boba Fett (2021) S1 E6
[removed by a moderator]
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That trope is straight out of “lone wolf and cub” and it made me laugh when it happened. This (and all star wars) has its roots in old Japanese samurai movies, but you rarely see it as butt naked as this.

I think that’s the first one there are 5 or 6 of them…

The Equalizer (2021) S1 E10
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago.

It’s here - season finale time! The big fat zillion dollar company that owns this released the wrong episode last night, not the scenes fault, not the sites fault. Enjoy!

Loki (2021) S1 E2
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

Bloody marvelous… Thank you one and all!

DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016) S6 E1
Yellowbeard 3 points 3 years ago.

Yay it’s back! Though I confess I really needed the “Previously On Legends of Tomorrow” section at the beginning.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E9
Ozzycontin420 4 points 3 years ago.

What’s OST?

Yellowbeard 3 points 3 years ago.

Prolly “Original Star Trek” - I could be wrong…

WandaVision (2021)
Yellowbeard 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

These early episodes are just setting up why the bad guys deserve the hurting they are going to get. Ifn you watched avengers end game you should remember WHY scarlet witch ran amok and what happened when she did.
