It leaves out a lot of juicy details. Like how the Portugese showed up with their firearms in search of gold and used intimidation to exploit the local slave trade. A slave trade, I might mention, that was vastly different from what the American slave trade would become. Enslaved people in that region has some rights and opportunities. Slavery in the US would take the horrific practice to new lows.

I guess the US deserves a pat on the back because their treatment of slaves was so abhorent that the ones that sold them the slaves had a change of heart and then sought to abolish slavery. Naturally, those same hypocrites then went on to use the abolition of the slave trade as a means to enslave an entire continent via colonization. Caucasians are tricky af.

Yeah, ignoring ‘all’ the facts in order to push a particular narrative does no one any favors. Nor does it absolve anyone from their part in it to shift blame.

36 seconds in and the bad guys shoot someone from around the front of the truck then run around and fire multiple shots at a girl that runs past them and several ricochet off the inside of the door she is standing next to and miss… you can’t shoot around corners…there is no way they could have missed her…the cops would not be there less than 15 seconds after the first shot…what a turd so far…

the spoor drive worked from inside the ship so why jettison the warp drive?

its so funny how you can always spot the most racists folks by how quick they are to point out that slavery existed elsewhere and not just in America lol

The film clearly shows that the problem was not racism but was the usual lazy government solutions. Instead of do the right thing by distributing the poor across the entire county in an equitable manner they chose to cram as many as possible into Spanish Lake. Why? Because they knew that the areas that where incorporated would all fight them in the courts for a very long time. Also to blame were the realtors for steering and block busting (which although illegal still continues to this day). One only has to look at this situation, higher education. social security, and the healthcare system to understand that expecting the government to fix any social problem is foolish. Government not only does not fix problems; they actually make it worse.

acting was good.
sfx were good.
story was pure shyte.

The most important thing in a scifi movie is that the “sci” must be believable. human torch? There must be fuel. Amazing giant growing guy? Increase volume 1000 percent and your mass density becomes one tenth the original. Now you have the amazing giant marshmallow. Pills that use animal DNA to give powers? You could not possible rewrite DNA that quick. And not knowing which DNA will stick? You managed to jam all those different sets of DNA into every pill… why not make each pill one set of DNA and let the user choose? And how about being unable to do one set of DNA per pill but your science is so exact you can limit the powers to 5 minutes? To bad no one gave the writers a pill for 5 minutes of good writing!

Hard to watch some actors who have been outed as horrible humans.

Always good to fall back on the race card when you need to screech at someone. Their comments were removed before I witnessed it but can we assume a racist comment was mentioned or are you going full Karen with your handbag bashing?

Well now that they did the required “Groundhog Day” episode we can look forward to seeing the “wake up and it was all a dream” episode and heaven forbid… the dreaded musical episode!

This is the sequel, so yes he still is that same guy who kidnapped and impregnated the girl locked in basement. They’re just trying to redeem the character in this movie. You must’ve not been paying attention the last half of first film. He accidentally killed girl in basement when she was trying to escape with the thieves and even tried to replace her with the girl thief and force her to have his child too. When she escaped she just took the money he had to get out of Detroit and not be bothered with the legal trouble since what she did was illegal as well.

The top heavy structure is unstable. The cracks are already starting to show. This won’t end well.

Absolutely stunning documentary..made very sensitively and intensely ..with facts, interviews and recordings of the vile rapist ! May he rot in hell in prison !
