so glad i waited for a better copy!!! bordering on the sureal, it wanders through a story of discovery, with stellar performances from stone and dafoe, and ruffalo, one of only 8 movies i have ever given 10/10 stars!!!!

wow reading some unkind words here about clint! i on the other hand enjoyed it! yes clint is starting to look 75 but thats not bad for a 91 year old! it’s a gentler the mule type movie not a hang em high type, leaves ya feeling wistful 9/10

futuristic sci-fi take on the noir detective genre, well done tho blade runner did it far better! jackman turnes in a less than believable performance as the jaded war vet clinging to the memory of a Femme Fatale, but in all a very entertaining watch. 7/10.

I just put it on my ‘plan to watch’ list with a heart on it, so I can find it easy when it comes out, and figure it will get talked about here when it does. Has some good actors in it, and if the script is any good, I’m sure they will do justice to this. Also, looking forward to seeing Jax again, he hasn’t done anything for a while that I know of…

Hmmmm so Saru pays Bryce the correct respect and adheres to chain of command but referring to him by his rank. Bryce then call says ‘… Mr Saru’. The dudes a Capt….. that’s the military etiquette equivalent of spitting in someone’s face.

He was diagnosed with Amyloidosis but was undergoing treatment. Knowing he might die before the books were finished he spent the first year after diagnosis telling different close friends and family parts of the rest of the story in detail so that it could be pieced back together and finished in a JRR Tolkien Christopher Tolkien way by someone else. He promised the fans that no matter what the books would be finished and the way he wanted the story to end. I think Sanderson did an admirable job given the difficulties of trying to emulate someone else’s writing.

Holy moly! She’s hilarious. I first saw her on Late Night with Seth Meyers. He was instrumental in giving her a platform that propelled her to where she is now, which I would consider the top.

We’d be better off if Hollywood was writing our history books. Kids are being fed a whitewashed, more “patriotic” version of history now that glosses over or completely ignores any nasty bits of our past that portray us in a less than favorable light. It’s shocking that until recently, with shows like Watchmen and Lovecraft Country bringing it to light, how many Americans were unaware of the Tulsa massacre and the burning of Black Wall Street. The surest way to repeat the mistakes of the past is to have no knowledge of that past.
