Star Trek: Picard (2020) S2 E1
kyocera301 5 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

A lot of exposition and talking about feelings, not as bad as ‘Discovery’ but pretty close. I’m hoping ‘ Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ will resurrect this franchise 2/5

metalrob72 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Emo Trek: Discovery is unwatchable. Picard, while still made primarily for the safe space kids, is tolerable, if only because of Patrick Stewart.

Moon Crash (2022)
metalrob72 5 points 2 years ago.

Oh dear. The Asylum got their Moonfall mockbuster out before the film they’re ripping off has even been released.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022)
metalrob72 1 points 2 years ago.

The replaced all the famous voice cast members (except Simon Pegg) with cheap D-grade voice actors

The Legend of La Llorona (2022)
RustyShacklefard 1 points 2 years ago.

Is this the remake of the one made last couple of years ago?

metalrob72 1 points 2 years ago.

No. Unrelated. This is a direct-to-video low budget film.

Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin (2021)
metalrob72 8 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

So, we’re now at the point where the Paranormal Activity name is slapped on any “found footage” type horror film. There is very little actual paranormal activity in this film whatsoever. This feels more like a Blair Witch ripoff with a little bit of The Village thrown in.

Day of the Dead (2021)
metalrob72 11 points 2 years ago.

Not gonna lie. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would.

Family Guy (1999) S20 E2
Saucer-People 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

After watching this, it feels like last week’s episode has set the low benchmark for the rest of the season - the only vague highlights were the ‘this is how women on drugs dance’ line and the brief Trashmen reference at the end - watching Family Guy now is a little like hearing a disappointing new composition from a reformed eighties band you used to love.

metalrob72 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The show has completely lost its edge because Seth is too worried about offending people.

La Brea (2021)
fatalsin1980 2 points 2 years ago.

and its on NBC which means big build up and big let down lol

metalrob72 5 points 2 years ago.

It’s on NBC which means it will be cancelled after 1 season

Foundation (2021)
metalrob72 2 points 2 years ago.

Please don’t suck. Foundation was always said to be “unfilmable” due to the complexities of the story. I don’t believe any filmed version can do the novel justice, but I hope Apple proves me wrong.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021)
[deleted]
metalrob72 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I had read spoilers for the film, and when I watched it tonight, I was really confused. As the ending is entirely different than what I had read. I really want to see the theatrical version to compare the two.

The After (2014)
thedamaged0ne 1 points 3 years ago.

This was the pilot of a series that never got picked up, and it really sucks coz the pilot was SO good!

metalrob72 1 points 3 years ago.

It was inspired by Dante’s Inferno. Amazon actually gave the series an 8 episode first season order after the pilot “aired”, but cancelled it before anymore episodes were filmed.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
[removed by a moderator]
metalrob72 5 points 3 years ago.

Even director Patty Jenkins said Lord IS Trump. That was her whole intent. To me, that ruined the movie. Should have been a Cold War story with a Reagan-esque President. Instead we got 2020 politics in a 1984 setting.

Space Command (2020) S1 E1
metalrob72 -1 points 3 years ago.

Egads. This was terrible. Bad acting all around. CGI that looks like it was made on a home computer using a bargain brand graphics chip purchased at Best Buy. I love “space opera”, I like several of the actors in this, but I was expecting at least SyFy level quality (which isn’t saying much), not scifi convention fan film level quality.

Romulus (2020)
metalrob72 6 points 3 years ago.

I’ve only watched the first 2 episodes, but this is far better than I expected. Not your typical “sword & sandals” series like HBO’s Rome or Starz’ Spartacus. They put a lot of effort into recreating the world of 8th century BC Rome, including hiring linguistics experts to recreate the Archaic Latin spoken throughout the series. The characters all speaking Latin really pulls you into that world, as opposed to everyone speaking English with a British accent like most period pieces set in the ancient world.

The Grudge (2020)
metalrob72 -2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The filmmakers are claiming this is a side story to the 2004 remake. It has even been title “The Grudge: The Untold Chapter” for home video release. I call bull on that, as this was very obviously intended to be a remake,as they redid serveal scenes from the original. The “side story” claim is just an excuse to explain all the changes they made.

Midway (2019)
metalrob72 1 points 4 years ago.

I really enjoyed this. Very faithful to the actual events. Although, due to budget issues, they had to remove a lot of the planned battle sequences. So, some very important events happen off screen. And, thankfully, it’s far less bloated than Michael Bay’s Pearl Harbor.

Battle Star Wars (2020)
metalrob72 0 points 4 years ago.

The Asylum strikes again. I kinda get a kick out of watching their Mockbusters.

A Serbian Film (2010)
metalrob72 -5 points 4 years ago.

No other site is censoring links. This is,of course, the result of a few triggered SJWs who never even watched the damned film. Haven’t we learned…when you give in to these people, you give them more power.

Dracula (2020)
metalrob72 0 points 4 years ago.

BBC spews out more garbage. I don’t know what happened. BBC used be known for making THE best television in the UK. Now, they’re too busy either trying to shock people or pushing political agendas. This is, what, the 4th literary classic BBC has ruined in the last year or so Oh well…….I look to Sky now for quality British shows.

Messiah (2020)
metalrob72 -4 points 4 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

After finding out this series has already sent the SJW denizens of Twitter into a triggered rage, I REALLY want to watch it.

It also has a very low critic score on Woken, er, I mean Rotten Tomatoes. You know, the critics that are pandering to the very same SJWs that are upset. That means this show is gonna be really good.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
metalrob72 12 points 4 years ago.

What a dumpster fire. I wanted to like it, but it’s such a disjointed, convoluted mess.

Playmobil: The Movie (2019)
metalrob72 -4 points 4 years ago.

I’m just waiting for the Nerf, Marbles and Paper Airplane films to come out. Ohhh, and especially the Lincoln Logs and Erector Set movies.

UFO: The Greatest Story Ever Denied III - UFOs from Outer Space (2016)
metalrob72 -1 points 4 years ago.

UFOs from Outer Space…..as opposed to UFOs from, like, Florida.

The Impeachment Show (2019)
metalrob72 -2 points 4 years ago.

Whether you’re for or against Trumpo, this show is ridiculously biased and one sided. It’s produced by Viceland, they’re so far to the left they make Buzzfeed and CNN look conservative.

Charlie's Angels (2019)
metalrob72 -4 points 4 years ago.

Charlie’s Woke Angels. How, I ask, how does Kristen Stewart keep getting roles. Ohhhhhh, that’s righ. She “came out” a short while ago. So, they can’t turn her down or she’ll accuse them of discrimination, homophobia and sexism.

Charlie's Angels (2019)
SgtPancake 2 points 4 years ago.

Kristen Stewart still can’t act except now she looks like a twink. No wonder this trash heap flopped.

metalrob72 -5 points 4 years ago.

Oh watch out. Kristen “the living mannequin” Stewart has a new scifi film coming out (a ripoff of Leviathan & Deep Star Six) and she looks even MORE butch than she does in this horrible Charlie’s Woke Angels film.

The Walking Dead (2010)
metalrob72 -5 points 4 years ago.

It’s 10 years after the zombie apocalypse, so why is the Muslim woman still wearing her hijab.

For All Mankind (2019)
metalrob72 -9 points 4 years ago.

More woke women good, men bad, propaganda garbage from Hollyweird. No thanks.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)
metalrob72 -5 points 4 years ago.

She-Man & the Prncesses of Wokeness

Watchmen (2019) S1 E1
metalrob72 -5 points 4 years ago.

It’s fall and Hollywood is running out of ideas.

Wokemen have arrived.

More SJW feminist nonsense from the CW.
