Blacklight (2022)

Neeson’s played this same part so often that they needn’t bother sending him the script. Good cam.

Moonfall (2022)

I would hate to be the guy who green lighted this debacle. All that it’s missing is a robot who keeps saying “Gosharooties!”.

Reacher (2022)
Bete Noir -5 points 2 years ago.

Thoroughly disappointing. The knock on Cruise’s Jack Reacher was that he lacked the character’s physicality. This Reacher lacks everything else. He has all the personality of Marvel’s Hulk. To call him wooden is an insult to trees. Jack Reacher, as written, is edgy and quick. This guy has no edge at all, and lumbers through the role like a stunned rhino. A great story wasted on bad writing and even worse acting. Whoever cast this sodden lump of gruel should go back to his day job.

IMHO, Cruise’s best work by far.

The Last Duel (2021)
Bete Noir 9 points 2 years ago.

Lugubrious, verbose, and a mullet.

Foundation (2021) S1 E2
Bete Noir 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Promising, but I don’t recall any R-rated scenes in the book. I guess our tiny little brains require some soap opera in order to maintain engagement.

Free Guy (2021)
Bete Noir 3 points 2 years ago.

Cloyingly sappy.

Cry Macho (2021)
Bete Noir 3 points 2 years ago.

Too painful to watch.

Voyagers (2021)
Bete Noir 1 points 2 years ago.

Not awful. “Lord of the Flies” in space. With girls.

Old (2021)
Bete Noir -2 points 2 years ago.

What?! Shyamalan couldn’t afford real actors for this one?

Black Widow (2021)
Bete Noir 1 points 2 years ago.

Great upload. Lousy movie. The race to the bottom from Iron Man 1 is complete.

Cruella (2021)
Bete Noir 2 points 2 years ago.

Ain’t nothin’ in the world like a big-eyed girl. Horrible and unnecessary covers, though.

NCIS (2003) S18 E16

Would not hurt my feelings one little bit if political BS Vance got a bullet in the head.

Bete Noir 0 points 2 years ago.

Funny. I feel the same way about Donnie.

F9: The Fast Saga (2021)
Bete Noir 2 points 2 years ago.

I’m sure it’s a fine sequel if only I could understand what they’re saying.

Wrath of Man (2021)

I can’t imagine what Statham would do with a bunch of antelopes.

Miller's Crossing (1990)
Bete Noir 2 points 3 years ago.

A much-overlooked Coen brothers gem. Inspired performance by Gabriel Byrne.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Bete Noir 3 points 3 years ago.

Who knew Kong was an Olympic-caliber distance swimmer?

Coming 2 America (2021)
Bete Noir 0 points 3 years ago.

Unfortunately, Eddie was in more than his share of stinkers.

The Marksman (2021)
Bete Noir 0 points 3 years ago.

Not Liam’s finest. Implausible and soppy.

Near Dark (1988)
Bete Noir 1 points 3 years ago.

An oldie but finger-lickin’ goodie.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Bete Noir 9 points 3 years ago.

Thanks for making this available. But it’s awful in too many ways to enumerate. It’s like a Disney remake of Wonder Woman for the Hallmark channel.

Detachment (2012)
Bete Noir 2 points 3 years ago.

Great Adrien Brody vehicle. Somewhat depressing, but you’ll get over it.

Fargo (2014) S4 E5
Bete Noir 1 points 3 years ago.

By contrast to previous seasons, Season 4 seems a trifle aimless and meandering.

Fargo (2014)

well you’ve probably seen this already but I’llk give it a shot “True Detectives” on HBO was exellent.

Bete Noir 1 points 3 years ago.

I thought the first season was in the same class. After that, not so much. Good tip, though.

If there’s anything better (or anywhere near as good) out there, I wish someone would tell me what it is.

Antebellum (2020)
Bete Noir 5 points 3 years ago.

A collection of tired cliches wrapped around a fashion show. Nothing to see here. Move along.

The Trayvon Hoax: Unmasking the Witness Fraud that Divided America (2019)
ObserverMI -1 points 3 years ago.

You ‘copied and pasted’ that from a search engine with minor edits, here: “Joel Gilbert is an American filmmaker, musician, and conspiracy theorist. Gilbert’s political films advance right-wing conspiracy theories. He has been a frequent guest on InfoWars. Gilbert produced several films on Bob Dylan.Wikipedia”
I’d much rather had your honest opinion of the film, that’s why I read these.

Bete Noir 4 points 3 years ago.

What does it matter the source if the facts are independently verifiable?

The Trayvon Hoax: Unmasking the Witness Fraud that Divided America (2019)
Bete Noir 8 points 3 years ago.

Joel Gilbert is an American conspiracy theorist. Gilbert’s political films advance right-wing conspiracy theories. He has been a frequent guest on lunatic Alex Jones’ InfoWars. This is just his latest effort to dupe his audience.
